Fifteen Weeks

It has occurred to me that only 15 short weeks ago was General Election Day.
We could not comprehend then how the world would change in such a short time.
All that mattered then was who got in, by how much, would Brexit happen.
We had never heard of the Coronavirus, Covid 19, the thought of stockpiling food, queueing for basic necessities, people dying in their hundreds and thousands had never entered our heads,
Having to stay in our homes, only allowed out for basics and a bit of exercise.
No weddings and funerals very limited.
Businesses and livelihoods in huge jeopardy.

This is only a taste of what life now is.

What will it be like in another 15 weeks? Hopefully better.

I shall try and post again then.

It is good we can't see into the future. I think once the crisis was here we just get on with it the best we can.

I hope things improve but we have a way to go yet

That's fires ( Australia ) Floods and now this Pandemic----all of Biblical proportions. As well as swarms of locusts decimating food supplies in the fields of Africa, leading to starvation.
So far in 2020.

All things shall come to pass...

15 weeks since Boris Johnson was made Prime Minister. I think he's been doing a fantastic job. He's had Brexit, the floods, and now all the Covid-19 to deal with. Like him or not (I do), he's getting things sorted, and still relatively very new in his new role.

He was actually PM before that SalsaQueen because he called the election, but I know what you mean, that’s when he got his majority and really seemed in charge.

Just as we did in the late 40's when so many sentences began, 'Before the war we....' Our sentences in June will be, 'Before the Corona Virus we....'

Not sure that “ he’s getting things sorted” is an accurate description of BJ. His pantomime pifflewiffle clown act has had to be moderated and there’s nothing much behind it. Rushi Sunak is really showing him up. Remind us what he did about the floods?

Watch this weeks Ted interview with Bill gates.
It's extremely well informed as you would expect, gives hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel and sets you thinking about the world after this is over.

I like Mr Gates, now off to watch your link gardenoma - before the plague of frogs arrives (there are rather a lot of tadpoles in our pond this year!)

Let’s hope he eventually gets sorted

Lack of PPE
Testing for (at the VERY least) NHS staff
Adequate food supplies for vuonerable
Policing social distancing

Now all we want is War and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will be truly with us!
