At the front of our house (end terrace) we have a postage stamp front garden open to the world, except for a hedge behind me, there is a tiny path in front of it and a field beyond that, quite rural.

As the sun came out DH put out a comfy picnic chair for me, hammered into the ground a pole and erected a sunshade. I have also added a small side table for my bits and pieces.

I sat down to enjoy the wonderful sunshine and the clouds came over but after all DH’s efforts to cheer me up, as I told him this morning incarceration was not for me, I have decided to sit it out. I am wearing a winter coat with the hood up and am wrapped in a woolly blanket, as appropriate for an old dear like me.

I’ve just drunk a hot cup of tea to thaw myself out and trust that hypothermia hasn’t yet set in. ☕️?

What are you up to ?

I saw on tv this morning a couple sitting in deckchairs in their front room with a picture of the sea rolling in.

I think that was a nice idea from your DH and it will be warmer soon NanKate so you can take advantage of your spot in the garden more comfortably!

I requested the return of two of my garden chairs from DDs house which I took there to cover the overflow of people for xmas lunch,my lovely DGS duely rode up to my house and deposited them on the front porch.
They are now in the back garden on my patio area and I have just come in after also spending time outside with a hot brew throwing a ball up and down the garden for my Poppy to have her daily run,if the weather is nice tomorrow I plan on an alfresco Sunday lunch.

Snap Glamma lunch outside in the sunshine will be just the ticket. I do feel sorry for those folks who can’t get outside, especially those with children.

AGA what a good idea I will check on my IPad if I too can get the sea rolling in ?

‘Babysitting’ my half dozen little tomato seedlings. I wanted them to sit in the sun for a while but couldn’t leave them unsupervised because of marauding squirrels, jays, etc.

They’re from seeds I squished out of a squashy tomato a week or so ago, never really expecting them to come up at all.

Witzend, good luck with your ‘babies’ my husband did exactly the same with a squashed tomato last year and we were still picking them in November!
