So tomorrow my DH has a significant birthday, which we had big plans for...
We had resigned ourselves to a day of perhaps opening a couple of cards and having a quiet day, much like any other day, since the lockdown
However, tonight there was a knock on the door and we have had four cocktails delivered (safely ) from a very posh bar in town, courtesy of our lovely daughter.
They are in the fridge for tomorrow and we have decided that we are going to dress up to the nines, OH is wearing a suit and I will wear a posh frock ? steak for tea and dancing tomorrow night
I know we are nuts, but want to grasp every moment of happiness we can

Fabulous. Go ahead and enjoy yourselves. Let the music play, in the words of Barry White. Best Birthday Wishes to your DH.

Hello Dolly,
What's his age Dolly,
Or does he make it up as he goes along?
Is he looking good Dolly?
As good as he could Dolly
And can he hum the right tune to my little made up song...?

Ok, joke over
Have a swell time on his special day and many more to come.
???????? ? ??????️?️?

Thank you all, you have to seize moment and enjoy what we can, when we can
Enjoy reading the good books, eating the somewhat haphazard meals, enjoy the phone and video calls
For those of you who are on their own, you have my utmost admiration ?

GabriellaG54 Sun 19-Apr-20 22:16:58

Well, here's my swansong for today.
No steak ? no dancing ? no cocktails ☹️
Just a (4) Weetabix at twilight
When the lights are low
Softly shake the sugar
Pour the milk real slow...

G'night all

How lovely! Have a wonderful day

I have decided I need new glasses. I read this comment

However, tonight there was a knock on the door and we have had four cocktails delivered (safely )

I actually read cockatiels for cocktails. I was mildly surprised as caged birds don't appear very popular these days. But when I read you were putting them in the fridge I was deeply concerned.

But all's well after all

I think that was very kind of your daughter.

And a Happy Birthday to Mr Dollymcl
