And don’t use those balloon lanterns or helium balloons either. Very bad for the environment and wildlife.

In addition, fireworks can be INCREDIBLY dangerous if they are not used safely, and they really aren't designed to be set off in back gardens anyway. They can cause severe burns.

If you want to celebrate, consider using sparklers, and don't allow small children to handle them. Much safer and minimal noise.

I agree,it's gone too far, fireworks for everything now, ,my late little dog was terrified, my cats don't mind too much

My dog shakes uncontrollably and sticks to me like glue. I can't even go to the loo on my own and have to carry her with me everywhere.

My cat flies around in a panic or hides in a corner and is sick (or worse) on the floor.

Thanks, folks, but your fireworks don't cheer me up - at all!

I can cope with fireworks on November 5th

And maybe NYE

However we are unable to stick to these dates and my poor little dog gets in a dreadful state.

Drives me mad

It threw it down here, nobody about.
I did read last week that the noise spooked a cat which ran out in the road and was killed.

No fear of that round this way.
The weather is awful, so 30 seconds of clapping is all anyone got tonight.

My pets are traumatised by every single firework event. It's almost weekly anyway so please don't add to it and make things even worse.

It just seems so wrong, so insensitive, having 'party type' celebrations at present - with so many people dying.

during the 8pm clap on Thursdays.
A request from NHS staff and other key workers,
as NHS staff and other key workers are arriving home after long shifts,to find their pets in a stressful state.
