Will you still take a walk every day

Dye you're hair

Shop just once a week

Carry on with new hobbies

Eat as much

Drink as much

Keep up with contacting distant friends

Have more days out

Not want to be in close contact with strangers

Put your make up on

goldengirl Thu 30-Apr-20 12:04:31

1) I use a treadmill twice daily and I hope to carry on with that as I find our pavements make me very unsteady

2) I don't dye my hair it is as it is

3) I don't go food shopping as I find it hard to carry stuff so I shall continue to have it delivered

4) I'll certainly carry on with learning a language and learning to crochet. Good fun even if a little frustrating at times!

5) I'm eating normally and somehow have managed to lose a little weight! A nice surprise

6) I enjoy the odd glass of wine but prefer water and coffee
7) I'm trying to keep in contact with distant friends and hopefully that will continue

8) I hope to have days out if I can. My daughter is good at getting me out

9) I think I will continue to be wary of having contact with strangers

10) I always wear makeup - it's part of my DNA!!!

maddyone Thu 30-Apr-20 12:14:20

1) I’ll walk somewhere every day, unless it’s raining, but it may not be where I’ve been walking these last weeks
2) I’ll definitely go back to the hairdresser and get my hair dyed and cut
3) I normally shop once or twice a week, it will be nice to visit the shops and choose from the shelves, as all shopping is Click and Collect now
4) I haven’t started any new hobbies
5) I’m eating about the same as usual
6) I’m drinking less alcohol than usual
7) I hope to make more effort to stay in touch with distant friends rather more often
8) More days out would be nice
9) I won’t want to be in close contact with strangers until I’m sure it’s safe
10) I’ll continue to wear makeup when I go out

Begin again to overcome agoraphobia

dragonfly46 Thu 30-Apr-20 12:21:56

1. I will not be going on a cruise!
2. I will go and visit the DGC and DS and DiL.
3. I will give my daughter her dog back as he has caused me so many problems.
4. Hopefully I will drink less.
5. I will go out on a whim as I may be allowed although I think it will be sometime before us shielded ones have our freedom back.
6. I will re-employ my cleaners as I miss them.
7. I will see my friends again regularly.
8. Hopefully my hair will have grown back and I will have it trimmed.
9. I will keep away from strangers but then I always did.
10. I hope I will smile more.

Grannybags Thu 30-Apr-20 12:36:23

I walked most days before and have/will carry on after

My hair is not dyed but can't wait to get it cut!

My eating and drinking hasn't changed much

Look forward to not having to clap every Thursday and talk to the neighbours - I'm not very sociable!

I assume sleepovers will start again at some point

Fiachna50 Thu 30-Apr-20 12:44:19

I think lockdown will be eased but not over. Anyway-
I don't walk everday.
I don't dye my hair but won't be rushing to a hairdresser.
Family does my shopping, I would perhaps consider visiting smaller shops.

Im doing my hobbies now. I don't think gigs, theatre etc will be back anytime soon.
I eat less now.
Drinking habits unchanged.
I keep in touch with distant friends anyway.
Days out- where is there to go that will have anything open? Much will depend on how this all works out.
Im wary of strangers anyway, they don't really figure.
Yes, I wear little makeup but it can cheer you up sometimes. Like another poster said, I hope to smile a bit more.

EllanVannin Thu 30-Apr-20 12:51:22

I'll get back to knuckling under with my cleaning, knowing that I'll have callers grin
Will buy more Dettol products when they return to normal stocks.

Go to M&S and fill a trolley with goodies---after saying I would stick local shock Ah well.
Garden centre for some fragranced shrubs to go in my empty pots.

Visit my D's to see her handiwork and the children's plantings. Of course see the children first and foremost.
Meet up with friends.

Won't be going on public transport for a very long time.
I'll also be wary of crowds though I don't mix anyway.

Replace carpet and suite before the end of the year so a stroll round shops to give me an idea of colour/style.

It's frustrating what you have in your mind to do but can't do anything about it.

Charleygirl5 Thu 30-Apr-20 12:56:33

I will be changing my shopping habits. Less of Morrisons online and more Lidl in the car! I use M&S coffee jars so whenever I replenish I will have a few treats. I still think I will save money.

Davida1968 Thu 30-Apr-20 13:02:46

Walk more - I hope!
Enjoy more days out, rather than thinking that jobs have to be done...
Keep up the habit of drinking less alcohol.
Never taking a cruise. (Hadn't ever done, so but this crisis has determined it.)
Make sure that we see our overseas family every year, when possible.
And generally "Carpe Diem!"

moggie57 Thu 30-Apr-20 13:03:16

go back to church ,really missed it.exercise more.go see my brother in worthing.get muy hair cut .see gc and daughter .

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 30-Apr-20 13:03:23

I hope to continue taking a walk each day, weather permitting, and do a little more exercise at home. I absolutely loathe exercise but need to keep the weight off.
I've always done one big shop once a week and will continue with that too.
Will I stop procrastinating and just get on with things? The answer to that should be yes but I'm unsure.

3nanny6 Thu 30-Apr-20 13:20:28

I will still walk everyday as I need to get my dogs out so I will increase the time I can exercise them.
I will be able to go into my daughters house and properly see the GC.
I will visit the hairdressers and have my colour put on and a good trim.
I will at last be able to get a slot for my shopping delivery or a click and collect which I always used to do but have not been able to get any of that for ages.
I will be able to have my brother in the house for coffee or I can go into his flat, I am tired of talking to him while he stands at the bottom of the driveway.
I will be able to talk to strangers in shops if they come near me when I am looking at something. I am amazed that women in general get close in shops and ask my opinion on products. I give them an evil stare and quickly move.
I will go and buy some new clothes.
I have never done it but I might get some botox for my wrinkles.
Have a lazy day browsing around the garden centre.
Get back to attending church I miss it a lot.
Forget that I must keep 2 metres away from people wherever I walk.
This list seems endless.

craftyone Thu 30-Apr-20 13:22:29

I will go in my car and wonder amongst big trees

3nanny6 Thu 30-Apr-20 13:30:41

craftyone : You are allowed to do that now, I pass the trees everyday with my dog, when I think nobody is looking I even reach out and touch them for a few minutes it is such a feeling of calmness.

BlueSky Thu 30-Apr-20 13:33:51

Carry on shopping on line, going for a walk, colour my hair myself, pass on a cruise, wary of public transport, keep a small stock of essential items.

NfkDumpling Thu 30-Apr-20 13:34:32

Cuddle my grandchildren and hug my children.
Mostly I will go out. I will go out.
Out of the gate and down the road.
Out in our campervan sitting idly in the drive.
Out on our little boat on the Broads.
Out to the local supermarket to browse and pick a nice cheese from the deli.
Out to the green grocer and the butcher.
Have BBQs and invite friends round for meals.

I will not use Tesco on-line shopping unless I really have to.
I will not go to the cinema or theatre until I’ve been vaccinated.
I will not go into crowded places at all until I’ve been vaccinated.

Lucca Thu 30-Apr-20 13:56:41

Apart from the obvious see the family, I will play tennis, play tennis and then a bit more. I will continue to walk every day and will avoid trains and buses. I’ll go to an actual non essential shop.

travelsafar Thu 30-Apr-20 14:05:27

I hope to get into the chiropodist, dentist, hairdresser, see family and friends, go shopping for myself, go back to my exercise classes, if not carry on walking every day, go back to my knit and natter group, miss the lovely friends i have there so much and if its not too late in the year meet up with my bowls club and play a match .

SalsaQueen Thu 30-Apr-20 14:21:07

1) I don't walk anywhere now grin and I won't walk in future
2) I always dye my hair, no matter what
3) I usually shop online, but haven't been able to get a slot for two months, so I hope to do that again.
4) I'll go to Zumba, aqua aerobics and pub quizzes again.
5) I'll eat less (that's the plan, anyway)
6) I'm not bothered about drinking, I can take it or leave it.
7) I'll actually meet up with friends again.
8) I look forward to days out with the family again.
9) I'll still avoid strangers wherever possible.
10) I always wear make-up, apart from Saturdays, so that won't change much.

AGAA4 Thu 30-Apr-20 16:21:01

I will see my family.

I will meet my friends.

I will carry on with my walks and yoga.

I won't go anywhere there are a lot of people till the virus has been dealt with.

I will try to get back to a better diet. Too much chocolate just now!

deedeeP Fri 01-May-20 10:19:36

As soon as this is over we will be out to dinner in our favourite restaurants, then back to normal eating dinner out 3 or 4 times a week - they will all need us to sipport them one they reopen especially the independant restaurants as we use. (We are in touch with the owners and communicate every couple of weeks to make sure everyone is safe and well as we are with the cab company that we use). We will book another trip for later in the year (if any of the decent airlines have survived). Other than this I can escape my extended lockdown and get back to some semblance of normality. Life is for living as this lockdown has proved, not hibernate away indoors for no reason. We still work hard and play just as hard even though we are "Seniors"

Annaram1 Fri 01-May-20 10:38:13

Besides seeing my family again I will book an overseas holiday. I would love to go to Israel or Peru.

GillT57 Fri 01-May-20 10:54:42

I will continue with daily dog walk/one hour exercise

will enjoy meeting up with friends, at home or elsewhere

will continue to bake bread, my newly acquired skill

Will continue to use small local shops where possible

Visit hairdresser

Craftycat Fri 01-May-20 11:33:17

I will:
Get my highlights done!!
Cuddle my DGC
Have coffee with friends
Go to Yoga & dance classes ( which are actually being Zoomed over to me anyway at the moment but it's not the same!)
Not have to talk to DH all day every day- hopefully he will be back at work as soon as this ends. If I hear ' any chance of a coffee' again I'll scream -he KNOWS how to work the coffee machine!!!

I will not:
Walk round the block every day- soooo boring
Queue outside Sainsbury's
Bake cakes as if they are going out of fashion- the freezer is fit to burst!
Stay in bed until 9am every morning
Spend hours weeding the garden which now has not a weed in sight.

The first thing I will do though is open a bottle of Champagne!!
