I was reading yesterday that many people are now staying up later and getting up later. Have you changed? We still go to bed around 9pm and get up between 5.30am and 6.30am.

Go to bed at 10. Do a sudoku and read for 30-40 mins. Get up between 7 and 7:30am so not really changed but then duh is semi retired.

Bed about midnight up about 9. Yes we have changed out sleep times.

Pantglas2 Thu 30-Apr-20 11:48:12

I’m a 10oclockish girl and awake around 7am. Will stay up later for something special and subsequently lie in now that I’m retired but I need 7hours uninterrupted sleep to keep feeling well.

Should be dh and since his heart op we have separate rooms. Otherwise he would be complaining about me having the light on!

EllanVannin Thu 30-Apr-20 11:51:00

Between 10.30 and 11 for me as usual, with 06.30-07.00 rising.
Still sleep well thank goodness as it does help a lot.

Ours hasn’t really changed, bed at 9.30-10 and up between 4.30-5. Sometimes I think I’ll stay up a bit later and watch something but that wears off come the usual bedtime.

i NEVER GO TO BED BEFORE MIDNIGHT AND OFTEN LATER, AS I DON'T LIKE TO WAKE UP TOO EARLY, AND I ONLY USUALLY SLEEP 5-6 HOURS ANYWAY,SO NO MY BEDTIME IS THE SAME AS USUAL
Oh so sorry caps on by accident, just noticed shock

Teetime Thu 30-Apr-20 12:03:54

No our bedtime is the same (10-10.30)but not getting up until about 9am.

These daysI'm usually a night owl, tho, like last night, couldn't keep awake to watch Newsnight and I'm a news junkie..
And then, after Sailing By, I switch to CNN News to see what fresh hell The Orange One is proposing. That's always good for a laughgrin
Might then start chatting to my US family...
And so ends another day in lockdown.

Calendargirl Thu 30-Apr-20 12:22:28

Usually go to bed about 10, get up around 6 usually.
No different to BL.

craftyone Thu 30-Apr-20 12:25:21

sleep by 10 and awake at 6, every day, all year round. One wake up at around 3 every day too

Jabberwok Thu 30-Apr-20 12:27:45

Bed between 9.30-10pm, up between 7.30-8.00am! same as usual!

Jabberwok Thu 30-Apr-20 12:29:54

Early morning tea in bed, a must! made and delivered by DD (of course!!)

Jabberwok Thu 30-Apr-20 12:30:31

DH, not DD!!!!

Starblaze Thu 30-Apr-20 12:37:30

We didn't adjust after the clocks changed so we are all late to bed and late up now

Oopsadaisy3 Thu 30-Apr-20 12:41:12

We stay up much later, midnight ish often just reading or listening to music, but I often wake up usual time of 7am. DH stays asleep until 8 ish.
I think it’s because we don’t have to get up early so that DH can go to work.

tanith Thu 30-Apr-20 12:42:35

In bed but reading by 10:30 awake with a cuppa watching the news in bed by 7 and up by 8ish I would normally be in the shower by 7:30 but nothing much to get up for now.

Tweedle24 Thu 30-Apr-20 12:45:19

Before this I was off to bed after the 10pm news headlines and up about 7.30 but, I have been going to bed later and not waking until 8ish.
Last night I went to bed earlier and was up and about, showered, dressed and laundry started by 7.30. I suddenly realised that I have still been living in GMT. Need to get into BST ? - a bit later than everyone else in the UK!

Witzend Thu 30-Apr-20 12:53:11

I don’t have a usual bedtime.
A lot will depend on how I slept the night before (often not very well) what time I woke up (varies enormously) and whether I had a zizz on the sofa in the afternoon.

I don’t know why I so often don’t sleep well nowadays - there’s no rhyme or reason to it, and no common factor at all.

SalsaQueen Thu 30-Apr-20 14:24:21

I go to bed 10.30-11ish, get up a couple of times in the night, then I'm up at 7.

AGAA4 Thu 30-Apr-20 15:17:44

Usual bed time of 10.30 but wide awake at 6am almost an hour earlier than usual.
This means I am dozing off about 9.30pm and missing the end of my programme so don't get to know whodunnit!

Hetty58 Thu 30-Apr-20 16:17:11

Usual times are around midnight - then up and about 5 or 6 am. If I feel tired I'll have an afternoon nap for an hour or so. Then I might not be sleepy until 2 am. It hasn't changed and doesn't matter at all now that I'm retired.

maddyone Thu 30-Apr-20 16:28:38

We’re usually in bed around 10.00 to 11.00. Wake up about 8.30 to 9.00 to find DH is already up and about. He brings me a coffee in bed and we have a little chat or watch a bit of SkyNews before I get up and dressed. This last week I’ve banned the news in the morning because it depresses me. The timings are similar to our normal routine, but if I had somewhere to go to I would have got up earlier. There’s nowhere to go to now.

ninathenana Thu 30-Apr-20 16:34:31

Bedtime is still 11ish. DH gets up anytime between 5am-7.30am I usually get up about 8-8.30am.
