Completely OTT!

I've just read the press report and, it states that they did receive a tip off about his failure to declare his "criminal activities" .
Most probably a spot of childish jealousy.

Seems ridiculously harsh. Are Specsavers trying to shed staff without paying redundancy?

I would suspect they went on a hunt to find something incriminating to get rid of him.

I must say, that does seem very harsh and it makes me wonder how they found out after a 22 year period.

A 6 month suspension. The 'offence' happened in 1998.

A Specsavers optometrist from Romsey Hants has been suspended from his job for failing to disclose a warning he received twenty-two years ago when he was a fresher at uni.
A friend had got engaged. 5 of them went to dinner and had drinks after which he and another stripped off and streaked.
He got a 'slap on the wrist' but didn't disclose this when applying for the Specsavers position.
Overkill or what?
Have you ever been given a 'slap on the wrist' for a minor infringement of rules or the law and if so, has it come back to bite you?
