Your thoughts...?
For the first few milliseconds I had no idea who it was until I read the banner. ???

GrannySomerset Sat 09-May-20 22:56:15

Doesn’t he look sad?

Maybe this is easier to read?

I think he looks stressed and probably missing his role but I don't have much sympathy.

TheFrugalPiggy Sat 09-May-20 23:00:00

He has lost his sparkle - but that could be Lockdown fatigue.

gulligranny Sat 09-May-20 23:07:51

He looks like he could do with a plate of hot, crispy fish & chips, a glass of wine and a cuddle.

Oopsminty Sat 09-May-20 23:09:45

It's just an awful photograph. We've all got pictures we wish had never been taken.

I'm sure the Mail trawled through the footage to get the worst picture possible.

I have one at my Granddaughter's christening where it looks as if I've just stepped foot out of The Walking Dead.

He’s looking thin - all that macrobiotic vegan stuff Meghan is feeding him.
(I don’t think he’s suffering much under “lockdown” - more like a self-inflicted gilded cage)

Oopsminty Sat 09-May-20 23:23:35

Cancel my previous comment.

Just seen the video

GabriellaG54 Sat 09-May-20 23:27:28

Yes, I agree. My first thought was that he looked thin plus his hair looks as if it's been somewhat straightened or got product on to make it lie back. It doesn't look as dry as it used to look.
I read that Meghan wanted to do something about his bald patch and overall 'look' and I think this is just the start.

Callistemon Sat 09-May-20 23:33:27

hmm I think he struck the right note.

He's obviously sad that the Invictus Games have been cancelled, concerned for the comrades he made through his work with veterans and hopes that they'll all be looking out for each other.

It wasn't an occasion to look upbeat and jolly.

He does look rather thin though, perhaps Meghan can't get hold of any flour or eggs to bake him an endless supply of lockdown banana cake.

Chewbacca Sat 09-May-20 23:44:35

Don't be silly Callistemon; Meghan uses her bananas to write pithy messages on; she doesn't waste them by baking them into cakes! Sheesh! grin

Callistemon Sat 09-May-20 23:45:31

grin

maddyone Sat 09-May-20 23:47:42

He does look thinner. It’s sad that the Invictus Games have had to be cancelled, but that’s life in the pandemic. He’s safe in his villa, unlike our medics on the frontline at home.

GabriellaG54 Sun 10-May-20 00:22:35

Yes indeed, the second freebie villa and flown there by a $120m aeroplane owned by the same rapper who owns the mansion. So much for standing on their own two feet.

Goodness. sad Barely a glimmer of a smile even though he’s speaking about one of his favourite projects.

I read yesterday that he and Meghan now have a ‘ring of steel’ around them, comprised of Oprah Winfrey and cohort.confused

BlueBelle Sun 10-May-20 05:35:48

Oh aren’t the press loving it Find a really miserable looking picture and write about the poor man and how he’s suffering
And the vultures are all in waiting ....’oh that awful woman taking him away from his country changing him making him so unhappy’ and all you lot stirring the cauldron
What a joke get on with your lives and leave him to sink or swim, he’s old enough he has a beautiful wife and an adorable little baby he’s made his choice (who can blame him) I d have run for the hills to get away from the baying mob just waiting to watch him fall
Nasty

Be careful what you wish for. One day he will look in the mirror and see. Why does anyone marry someone and try to completely change them?., that video showing off Archie on his birthday, had Harry in the background sounding almost manic. I'm not sorry for him, he has been thoroughly selfish to his family and the Queen, but when he comes down to planet earth they will pick him up.

Lucca Sun 10-May-20 06:32:19

Bluebelle. Good post but brave ......!

Givemestrength Sun 10-May-20 07:18:26

It's been a bizarre outcome for them alright. But I suppose he's getting a taste of what it must have been like for her for the five minutes she spent in a strange country with a strange family. He'll be back but do hope little archie is okay whatever happens.

Shropshirelass Sun 10-May-20 07:28:22

Harry has given up everything for Meghan, she wasn't prepared to give up anything. He has gone away from all the support and the life that has protected him, I can't see the marriage lasting but now that he has a child he will do everything in his power to protect him. The Queen actually has guardianship over all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, I wonder if that right will ever be exercised?

Urmstongran Sun 10-May-20 07:38:48

He’s coming up for 36y - the same age Diana was when she died. That will weigh heavily on him this year I expect.

He seems rudderless with no role to play. He’s in the same situation as many husbands with an actor for a wife. He needs something for himself, not the LA glitzy party life which will pall.

absent Sun 10-May-20 07:42:11

Who is he? Is he someone I should listen to?

Davidhs Sun 10-May-20 08:13:33

Wherever I expected Harry and Meghan to settle down it was not a gated community in Beverley Hills 90210, surrounded by her friends. This is about as far from Harry’s natural “habitat” as you could possibly imagine, isolated from friends and family. In my mind the only uncertainty is how long is he going to tolerate tinsel town.

Grannynannywanny Sun 10-May-20 08:18:57

I wouldn’t read too much into the image as it looks like a still frame from a video clip rather than a photo.

Easy to select a less than flattering facial expression when someone is in mid conversation
