Just wanted to say hello and chat to you all. I am in some pain (as always), so I am going to have a nice hot chocolate and I am listening to relaxing music on Youtube on the television. Hope you're all well.
Love,

Crumbs! HOT chocolate ? I’m melting . Sitting here wasting time because it’s too hot to move !

FlyingHandbag Tue 02-Jun-20 16:00:12

Still not had my hot chocolate, I'm going to have it now. Take care. X

FlyingHandbag Tue 02-Jun-20 16:01:15

I never feel the heat. X

AGAA4 Tue 02-Jun-20 16:06:16

Hot chocolate is very soothing.

MadCatWoman1 Tue 02-Jun-20 16:08:24

I've still got the banging headache I started with at 9am. It's too hot, so after work this morning, I've been in, apart from a brief trip to Lidl.

Just finished a pile of ironing, ready for a G & T now.

Hi, I'm feeling rather weary, I've been awake since 5am when the neighbour was slamming his patio door and coughing and OH was snoring like a demented hog! I'm well hydrated though and have had a busy day so far. Can't complain about the weather though, being in lockdown in rain, grey skies and cold weather would be miserable wouldn't it?

Stay safe everyone ?

MissTree Tue 02-Jun-20 16:22:25

How did you come by your user name ? Flying handbag ? Do you throw them at people ? Or do you travel a lot and buy them ?

FlyingHandbag Tue 02-Jun-20 16:32:53

I always fall and drop my handbag and it usually flys through the air. X

MissTree Tue 02-Jun-20 16:36:41

Oo I see. I wondered if you had a violent temper ???

Nortsat Tue 02-Jun-20 16:42:17

It’s an hour since your original post FH, I hope you are now feeling a bit more comfortable and that your hot chocolate helped.

Managing a chronic condition is draining ... so music and chocolate sound like good solutions.

??

FlyingHandbag Tue 02-Jun-20 17:11:42

MissTree I do have a bit of a temper but I wouldn't risk ruining a lovely handbag grin
Nortsat I feel more comfortable, and more happy as my relatives came for a socially distanced chat. Thanks. I haven't had my hot chocolate yet as I decided to have some fish fingers. X

Aldom Tue 02-Jun-20 18:28:00

Hello flyinghandbag Were your fish fingers tasty. I'm sitting in my garden about to eat strawberries and cream. So far this year strawberries have been very juicy and full of flavour. Salad too is better for having the sun, except for lettuce which I find goes bitter. Enjoy your evening. ?

harrysgran Tue 02-Jun-20 18:36:11

I have been drinking a mug of horlicks every evening I would normally just drink it in the winter months but for some reason I find it really calming and soothing at this time the only thing is both me and my sister find it gives us crazy dreams

FlyingHandbag Tue 02-Jun-20 19:14:10

Hi aldom, did you enjoy your strawberries and cream? My fish fingers were lovely, thanks. X
harrysgran I don't think I've ever tried horlicks. I really enjoy hot drinks. X

Aldom Tue 02-Jun-20 19:47:48

Me too re the Horlicks Harrysgran During lockdown I've felt I need a comforting bedtime drink. Horlicks takes me back to the 1950's when after swimming in the winter, I had it in the cafe at the swimming pool. It's such a clear, comforting memory.

PinkCakes Tue 02-Jun-20 22:05:38

Hello, I like fish finger sandwiches too. I had a fresh fruit salad earlier. Grapes (2 types), kiwi, strawberries, raspberries and melon. It was lovely.

FlyingHandbag Tue 02-Jun-20 23:06:25

Hi PinkCakes that sounds really lovely. I love red grapes and I am especially fond of watermelon but I don't like the yellow melon (can't remember the name). X

Garden grateful for today's rain and blackbirds going mad as they at last can get some worms. But the glorious May weather has been a huge help but then I am also lucky enough to have a garden.
Still hot mind as just finished an hour of yoga on Zoom and have an hour of Pilates later.
Only problem is I have toothache and dentist won't see me so waiting in for a doctor to ring in the hope of getting antibiotics before an abscess kicks in big time!
Weird times

polnan Wed 03-Jun-20 10:28:59
