Good Morning Everyone,
Its the start of another warm day here in Brackley this morning .
Nothing planned apart from a few choirs in the flat , and then settle back into my weekly routine .
I have been trying to plan a few days break at my favourite inland resort of Harrogate .
2 nights just B & B in a hotel I used allot in the 80`s , and also enquired as to rail travel its a case of pre book as well , thanks to social distancing .
Take Care ,
Mick

Morning Mick from a cool espana where I’ve been up since sparrowfart all excited as we’re off to the beach ? on a town hall trip! We’ll be temperature tested and sanitised before getting on the the bus and will wear masks for the 40 minute journey to who knows where??

Didn’t read a post from Marydoll yesterday - hope all’s well and with anyone else not enjoying the best of things at the moment ?

Get the trip booked Mick and hope your toe’s better!

Good morning from a bright but still chilly E Kent.
Pantglas, after being “sterilised” and taken on a magic mystery tour, I hope you have a wonderful day on the playa.
Mick, if you manage it, a few days in Harrogate sounds great. When I first came to England, I thought Harrogate was on the coast, like Margate and Ramsgate! ?
Watched DD’s service, streamed from Bristol yesterday, and were delighted to see our two DGDs serving! 7 and 10, they looked so sweet.
Same old today. Walk, sewing, tons of food of DS who eats like a horse...
I trust today will be gentle to you all in need, and full of contentment to everyone.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Inverness I’m awake early, got my cuppa in bed and am listening to the birds singing ?
I hope you get your trip booked mick it’s something to look forward to. I’ve not been to Harrogate for a long time but remember it as a lovely place.
Just an online aerobics class this morning and pottering in the garden for the rest of today. DH has a meeting at work as they’re due to reopen from Wednesday so will see what they say.
Hope everyone has a lovely day and take care whatever you’re doing ?

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea. I think today is going to be hot.
We sat outside one of our favourite cafes yesterday with our tea and coffee and watched the world go by for an hour or so. Very relaxing.
In the afternoon we met up with DH's family on the beach. It was very busy and there was a chilly wind blowing but that didn't deter a lot of people swimming in the sea.
Some washing and housework this morning and DH has said he will make a chicken and mushroom pie for tea.
Have a lovely day and stay safe xx

Morning Mick , morning All. A bright start to our corner of Somerset, heavy rain forecast from lunch time though, it seems no sun for us this afternoon. Table booked for lunch in our favourite restaurant, bit nervous about it, Mr C’s idea. Other than that general faffing for both of us. Mick good luck with your planning, you’re working hard to get the things you enjoy back in your life. Be gentle with yourselves everyone, stay safe.

Scentia Mon 13-Jul-20 06:58:38

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Looks like a sunny day is on its way.
A day at the factory today. The work is building up a little now.
I finally mastered geocaching yesterday with DD help, it was fun. DD had a bit of a breakdown first thing as DGS was screaming and wouldn’t let her get him dressed. Her first real cry since the miscarriage so we had a big cuddle and after a walk and DGS having a nap she was back to her usual happy self.❤️
Today I am starting my new eating plan to hopefully cut a little weight. I have been eating so many crisps and biscuits it has finally caught up with me!
Hope everyone has a good day and gets to see some sunshine.

kittylester Mon 13-Jul-20 07:10:24

Morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

We have an appointment at the dump this morning - my cup runneth over!!

Still havent cleaned the silver blush and am debating storing most of it in the roof. We are on a mission to 'future proof' our lives. Not sure if the children will thank us when the find lots of 'stuff' to sort out. grin

We hadnt heard from DD3 yesterday so messaged her to find she was on her way to A&E with awful gall bladder pain. She has had it before but investigations were curtailed by Covid. Seems she might have jumped the queue.

Good Morning from a brightish Fife, could rain I fear. DH to continue with the painting today, onwards and upwards wink. I will go out for some shopping to replenish cupboards. Other than that not a lot really, life is going along on a very slow pace. Thinking of everyone who is feeling a bit under the weather, keep your chin up.

Grandmafrench Mon 13-Jul-20 07:16:09

Good Morning everyone.

Awake early, going to Kärcher (jetwash) the courtyard before heat takes over again today. Then into the village to the Post on the pillion of DH’s scooter.......it needs a run! Presently ☀️??? in South of ?? and forecast for 30’s again this week.

Marydoll hope you’re ok and harri, that your hands are improving. Ellan fingers crossed for positive news from The Lakes!

Wishing you all warmth and sunshine in which to faff, footer or pootle today. Whatever you do, stay safe, relax and enjoy.

Hugs

Good Morning everyone from a sunny Severnside.
It’s nice to think you have something to look forward too.

I am going to go craft shopping this morning. I have an idea in my head and am eager to try it out.

Enjoy your day everyone whatever you do and hope all is well with you Marydoll ?

Gelisajams Mon 13-Jul-20 07:38:06

Good morning from a wet Morecambe Bay. Could have done without rain as we have our camper to load up.
Hoping Marydoll simply has internet problems, and Kitty’s daughter is ok.?
Off to Glenrothes for an overnight stay. Was going to call on my friend in Carlisle en route, but have decided not to risk exposing ourselves to any bugs!
Take care and stay safe?

Pittcity Mon 13-Jul-20 07:43:54

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
Supermarket and laundry are today's highlights.
I need to plan some trips for later in the year but keep putting it off. DH already has trips abroad booked with his fishing and hiking friends. I think I prefer to stay in the UK.

Nannytopsy Mon 13-Jul-20 07:47:30

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Cloudy just now but there are areas of blue sky in Suffolk. Not a good night’s sleep at all. DH in a lot of pain with his legs and the dog kept stealing the bed clothes. I shall be glad when her mum & dad collect her! A bit of tidying both inside and out today, then lots of lovely ironing. ?.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 13-Jul-20 07:47:55

Good morning Mick and all

It is humid here in S E Essex, send us some of your sea breeze Sar53

I have an appointment for a pedicure this morning, I have had my instructions, I have to wear a mask and sanitise.

Keep safe and well folks,?

Puzzler61 Mon 13-Jul-20 07:48:39

Good morning Mick and all followers. It’s warm and bright but cloudier than this time yesterday.
The window company are returning today to do a bit of “snagging” - a loose handle, a place that wasn’t silicone sealed.
Shouldn’t take long.
Then I’ll bake a Banana loaf; a recipe I got from a kind gn’er, just fancy making one today. A tip is to mash the banana with a potato masher not a fork ?
Mick - keep planning for the future. Much more fun than doing chores.
I too hope Marydoll is ok, maybe she has ‘pooter’ problems.
? to harrigran, and morethan ?

Puzzler61 Mon 13-Jul-20 07:50:25

kitty I hope your daughter is okay, a worrying day for you ?

Gingster Mon 13-Jul-20 07:57:44

Good morning all. We are now back in Essex for a couple of weeks. Cleaned and tidied the seaside cottage and left the garden looking orderly. I expect everything will be overgrown by the time we get back there.

Lots of jobs and ‘stuff’ to sort out here after being away for so long. Appointments, family and friend catchups, birthdays, and mountains of paperwork. Some lovely things, so e not so lovely. ‘That’s Life’.

Mick, you will enjoy your break in Harrogate, such a lovely place to visit.

Scentia I’m glad your DD had a little melt down and recovered quickly. We need to get things out of our system and feel better after a good cry. Your walk sounds lovely but what is Geocaching. Sorry if I sound ignorant. t

How lovely grandmattie to see your DD and GD’s streaming their service. Very special.

Take care Grandmafrench on that scooter pillion. ?

I will be meeting up In my friends garden with our Chiming group, this afternoon. First time for our U3A . We play these Chime things and it’s such good fun. There will be six of us today and we’ll play tunes that we have rehearsed in the past. Nothing too taxing.

DH. To opticians to get his lens’ replaced. They are so marked and scratched he can hardly see out. Problem is he has to be without them for 10 days. He’s found some old ones but they’re not quite right. Oh dear.

Hope Marydoll is feeling ok? We worry when we don’t hear from our love grans.

?

Urmstongran Mon 13-Jul-20 08:01:29

Sun’s up here! ? enjoy your day at the beach Pantglas! Wonder if you’ll be on a sun bed near me? ?

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s the start of another gorgeous day ?

I don’t blame you doing your chores early in a morning Grandmafrench!

Oh kitty the silver! Hope your daughter is okay and gets her necessary treatment today.

Anyone heard anything from Bellasnana recently? I’ve not seen her posting. And whywhywhy who moved out of her house recently? She said she’d post again once she was settled.

Hope to hear from Marydoll later too. Maybe it was gremlins on the computer keeping her away.

My lovely neighbour is off to see an estate agent this morning in Arroyo. She’s finding the summers here too hot now as she’s older.

Hope Monday is good to us all. Keep safe everyone that’s the main thing. x

Susan56 Mon 13-Jul-20 08:15:52

Good morning from Shropshire where it’s raining ☹️We were promised a heatwave?‍♀️

Today is going to be a day of getting ready for tomorrow when we are looking after DGS.It is a two hour drive and we have to be there by 9 so it is going to be a much earlier start than we are used to?

I heard from whywhywhy when she first moved Urmstongran. She said she will post again when she is settled so hopefully we will hear from her soon.

Hope you are ok Marydoll, also dragonfly, blue sapphire and Bellasnana.

I am really hoping you get that order today gilly???and Ellen hoping you have good news from the Lakes???

Have a good day all and stay safe everyone who is out and about.

gillybob Mon 13-Jul-20 08:16:04

Good morning from the NE coast where we have a dull start to Monday. I have woken with that awful sinking feeling on my worst day of the week.

Yesterday was a lovely day but I didn’t expect we would have 2 in a row . I ended up having little Evie Buttons all day as DD was offered a last minute shift at work .

We spent almost all day outside and walked down to the park to feed the ducks (well mostly geese and seagulls) and we had a turn on the little train that runs around the park which had every other seat closed to enable social distancing . She thoroughly enjoyed it. I was hoping she might’ve had an afternoon nap after all that excitement but no such luck . Took her home all ready for bed at 7.30 pm . I was shattered .

I’m off to “that place” in about 45 minutes . Me and one of our lads have another conference call late morning so I will have to get some notes together . It’s getting to the point where I’m not sure what more information they could possibly need and I am worried we might be being used (which does happen a fair bit in this line of work) . We shall see.

Hope Marydoll is okay. Thinking of those feeling sad or poorly and hoping for some much needed sunshine in all of our lives .

Hope Monday is as kind a day as possible . Love Gillybob xx

Urmstongran Mon 13-Jul-20 08:19:55

Hope you get that order gillybob. Do you run things past your husband? A trouble shared and all that.

Grandmabatty Mon 13-Jul-20 08:29:43

Good Morning All.
Mick that trip sounds lovely. I've never been to Harrogate and quite fancy it. Urmstongran and Pantglas enjoy your day on the beach. It sounds great. Lots of sunshine and a warm sea to swim in. Gillybob I'm off shortly to watch my grandson. We are going out for a walk this afternoon with my aunt (who is younger than me) and she is super fit whereas I am decidedly not! I expect to be double shattered tonight. I hope Marydoll is alright. Its gone very cloudy here and a bit disappointing. Grandmafrench careful on that scooter! ☺ Have a good day everyone, even if it is a Monday.

Scentia Mon 13-Jul-20 08:31:15

ginster geocaching is a bit like a treasure hunt incorporated into a walk, it is an app on the phone that tells you where little boxes or log books are hidden and you need to find them, they are all over the world, millions and millions of them. You can open the box and take out a little gift as long as you leave one in its place if has one in it. Some are just tubes with a piece of paper in to write your name on and then log your find on the app.

Good morning from east London, bright and sunny. Buzzing noise outside - the grass cutter is in the playground tackling 14 weeks of what looked like a wild meadow around the children’s playthings. Things seemed almost back to normal yesterday, especially with cricket being played on the sports ground opposite. It turned into quite a sociable day in the end. We paid a flying trip in the afternoon to see DSD as she’s back at her mum’s for a few days, then DD and family stayed for tea (aka ‘mezze’ from the freezer) after they came to collect GD1. Today, it’s midday tennis and the sun cream will be out again.
Hope you have a good day.
