Good Morning Everyone ,
Yet another bright blue sky with cloud this morning over Brackley .
Today a short trip into Buckingham for an hour or so .
Also housework before I go , I have been looking into Harrogate, as to eating out and pubs as to pre book .
There is a noted pub on the west park bit of the Stray noted for its Sunday roasts , I have emailed them to see what situation is , plus looked up a favourite seafood restaurant as well as to bookings etc .
Take Care ,
Mick

Good morning from a bright E Kent. Very little breeze, so although forecast 19C it’ll feel hotter.
My word, Mick, that sounds terrific. The excitement is partly from the planning and anticipation, isn’t it?
After a very bad night on Sunday, I slept well (for me) last night. Always very tired after giving blood.
I seem to have raced on with my patchwork. I’m half way, having made 18 of the 36 squares required.
I hope today is gentle with those of you in need of kindness. Stay safe.

Morning Mick and how lovely for you to be planning all those delicious meals out after so long!

We’re doing the same here as we spent the day on the beach ? yesterday and there was a small hotel we noticed for 2-3 days in September as a break from our inland Casa!

Full Monty for brunch then pop to local market for a meander and some fruit - another lazy day!

?for all having tough times at the moment, don’t want to list names as it wouldn’t be nice to have been left out! My memory isn’t what it was but I do notice when regulars haven’t posted for a while x

Good morning Mick! You sound as if you have plenty of plans for your trip. All you need now is decent weather!
It’s blue skies all the way in Suffolk this morning, so more gardening is on the cards. We set up a wildlife camera and found that there are more rats in the garden, so we need to clear the wilder bits. How to encourage the birds and the hedgehogs but not the rats? They come under the fence from next door and completely ignore the bait we put out for them.
My first job is to make some strawberry jam - the first lot has already gone!
I hope today is kind to everyone.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea.
I have an appointment at the local hospital this morning for a routine mammogram postponed from April. I received a phone call on Friday confirming the appointment and telling me what will happen and what I am to do. DH will drop me off and find somewhere to wait till I am finished.
Afterwards we have a few things to get at the supermarket. No plans for this afternoon.
Have the best day you can and stay safe everyone xx

Good Morning everyone from sunny Severnside.

A homeworking day I do today and a few walks up and down the garden. My brother came by last night and as usual I fell for his teasing. Will I ever learn! It’s lovely to see him though he always brightens things up.

I hope you all have a good day ?

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. The sun is out ant it feels warm already, I have been sitting outside for my breakfast and had 10 minutes watching the clouds in the sky, it is one of my favourite mindfulness exercises. Try it, they are amazing and evolve all the time.
Another day in the factory as work is picking up, our customers are mainly breweries and logistics and since the country slightly opened we have been getting work in steadily.
I am missing my shifts at the children’s home though but I will be in on Friday so that’s something to look forward to.
DS called yesterday telling us he is moving to a very posh side of Nottingham along the embankment so I can see them getting more visits!!! He is moving on the 1st August and I had no idea he was even thinking about it?. It is strange as if my DD thinks about having lunch earlier than usual she will text me and attach a photo, but he buys a new house and I know nothin’ about it. Well if they have children one day he will have to change I can tell you???
Good vibes are being sent to anyone who wants them this morning, I have woken up ringing and I aim to get jollier as the day goes on. DH lives it when I am happy at work, I never stop singing and I have the voice of an angel!!!
Take care ‘Goodmorningers’ and smile so the world smiles’with you?

Scentia Tue 21-Jul-20 07:03:34

*singing. I woke up singing.!!

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Worcs.
We’re counting down the days until our holiday too Mick and have to let the hotel know what meals we’ll want and where. There are 2 dining rooms and you will be able to eat in your room if you wish.

Good luck with the mammog. Sar, hope all goes well.

Homemade strawberry jam is lovely Nannytopsy and the strawberries seem to be large, sweet and juicy this year.

Pants enjoy your market meandering. I’ll bet the strawberries, nectarines, peaches and melons are delicious in France.

Have the best day you can everyone.
A quiet one for us today.

It's a lovely morning here in The New Forest, I just caught a glimpse of a small herd of fallow deer, what a treat.

Two weeks ago I had my first haircut in four and a half months, talk about the wild man of the forest. I have another haircut appointment this morning.

Later, I shall take a bike ride on my old jalopy of a bicycle to Holmsley Tea Rooms. It's a former railway station in the forest that once looked like this: www.stationhouseholmsley.com/SHH_history_2.pdf
and now it looks like this. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/65/Holmsley_Railway_Station.jpg
The cycle ride is a case of following doctor's orders, I had a hip replacement before Christmas and cycling is good therapy. The Tea rooms are just within range of my weakening bladder, enough said.
Good morning and stay safe.

Puzzler61 Tue 21-Jul-20 07:06:44

SPAIN! Why did I type France ?? ?

Puzzler61 Tue 21-Jul-20 07:08:31

The tea room looks charming Spangler, enjoy your ride and reward yourself with a small slice of something tasty ?

Morning all from a warm and brightish North Leicestershire.

We had quite a traumatic day yesterday sorting the loft. It is full of the children's stuff and DH's old accounts and records but the worst bit was seeing DS1's stuff from his life pre-stroke and dealing what he lost.

More roof today.

Good morning from N Bucks where it is sunny but pleasantly fresh.
Look who’s home ! Three nights in doggy hospital and an eye watering (4 figure) bill, so thank goodness for pet insurance.
A complicated metabolic disorder (Myoglobinuria for those of a medical mind) which meant that muscle fibre was being shed into her bloodstream which the kidneys could not filter. The danger is that it can permanently damage the kidneys if not caught in time. Possibly the result of an infection earlier and a fever. I will have to keep an eye out for any signs of temperature or dark reddish wee in the future but really hope she is on the mend now.
It’s been a horrible week!

NfkDumpling Tue 21-Jul-20 07:35:02

Morning All

And what a wonderful sunny, just right temperature, morning it is too here in the north of Norfolk.

I’ve only just come in from meandering around the garden to catch up on yesterdays happenings on GN as I spent most of yesterday with DS and family. It wasn’t intentional, but their day got rather complicated so it was easiest for me to stay with DGS while life revolved around us.

Today I shall be mostly doing the stuff I had intended to do yesterday - cleaning the house and annoying some soil in the garden.

Susan56 Tue 21-Jul-20 07:36:21

Good morning from sunny Shropshire.

Kitty?

I am up and about much earlier today as DGD coming to stay for a couple of days and she likes to get here early in the day.

Had stress with my mum yesterday as she takes the word of her neighbour as gospel and the neighbours take on the easing of lockdown is not the same as ours or anyone else’s for that matter.

In happier news the plumber and roofer both came out yesterday and have said all work will be done this week?

Hoping for good news for gilly re the contract and also from Maw re Hattie??

Sending good wishes to Cherry, dragonfly, blue sapphire and anyone else suffering with ill health and worries?

Have a good day everyone.

NfkDumpling Tue 21-Jul-20 07:37:48

flowers Kitty.

NfkDumpling Tue 21-Jul-20 07:37:56

Wonderful news Maw what a lucky dog!

Marydoll Tue 21-Jul-20 07:38:05

Good morning all and I'm think I'm correct in saying Spangler is new to this welcoming thread, so welcome!
It's bright here in Glasgow, but only 11° at the moment.

I have woken up with a mouth full of ulcers, yet another side effect! I wish there was a fed up icon, it would be very useful at the moment! Never mind, it will mean I can't eat.
I have put on three quarters of a stone, since starting this new treatment.?

DH plans to cut the grass and then hopefully take me a trip to the seaside. Of course I won't be able to go into any shops or restaurants, but this will be the first time in eighteen weeks, I will have been more than two miles from my home.
I'm excited, but very nervous.

It has taken me ages to post, my DD is in Morrison's and she keeps sending me photos of things I might need or if I don't respond, a phone call!?. I don't know how we would manage without her.

For all our missing friends, I know you read this thread, take care and I hope we see you all posting again soon. ?

NfkDumpling Tue 21-Jul-20 07:39:43

?*Gilly*. What a nerve racking business.

Susan56 Tue 21-Jul-20 07:39:57

Crossed posts Maw.So glad Hattie is home and that you have a diagnosis and also that you have been told what symptoms to look out for.

Hoping she goes from strength to strength now and you both soon feel better after your wretched few days.

Nanabanana1 Tue 21-Jul-20 07:39:58

Good morning everyone, looks like another lovely day here in Torbay,
It is good to hear of every ones plans for the day, my own are more housework and carry on with the up cycling of my table and chairs.
Have a good day everyone and I hope all are as well as possible.

NfkDumpling Tue 21-Jul-20 07:41:52

Is this new treatment supposed to make you better Marydoll? Perhaps an ice cream at the seaside will help the ulcers a little (if not the waistline). Take care and enjoy your day out.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 21-Jul-20 07:44:34

Good morning Mick and all

Blue sky here in S E Essex, I am doubled booked this morning!!!! DD has her first reorientation morning at work this morning, I have a booked gym in the park session .........so GrandpaGravy will have the five year old and I will walk to the park with six month old in pram and hope he sleeps so I can exercise.

This afternoon we hope to go to local Farm Shop and maybe M & S food hall.

Might change bed today instead of tomorrow (it’s my birthday tomorrow and I shall not do any housework if possible ?

Sending virtual ((((hugs)))) to those in need.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️
