Hi all,
I am in bed and I am in a lot of pain. I had a fall a few days ago, which on top of my chronic pain is agonising. I am very glad to have my pregnancy pillow.

I am trying to make myself as comfortable as possible in the hope I might get some sleep.

I have some relatives coming to visit me on Thursday as one of them had a birthday recently so she and another relative are coming to my house to celebrate, so I am hanging onto that to keep going through the pain.

Night all. X

Hi flyinghandbag Only just seen your message. I've had family visiting today. Very sorry to hear about your chronic pain being aggravated by your fall into the wardrobe. Glad you are a lot better now. Have you been able to enjoy the sunshine. We had coffee, then lunch in the garden. We were lucky enough to see a dragon fly. Hope you sleep better tonight. Hugs ?‍♀️???☀️??

FH I think the time has come to have some serious words with your doctor. You should not have to suffer all this pain, is the pain in your legs muscular, rheumatic or vascular? Whatever it is there should be some medication, exercises or even pain clinics (once they start up again) that would give you some respite. Luckily you seem to have things to look forward to, which will no doubt help. Hope you have better night

Hi. It's my joints, bones and muscles. I have been asked for years for a walking aid and painkillers and have been told that I don't need it. I am at my wits end, so I am going to try the doctor one more time then I am going to send for a walking aid. X

Lexisgranny Wed 22-Jul-20 19:06:24

In that case ask to be referred to a Rheumatologist. I have had Rheumatoid arthritis for nearly forty years, and during that time treatment has come on in leaps and bounds (no pun intended), and I would strongly suggest you go down this route before ordering walking aids. If you do need these they will be recommended by the hospital.

Lucca We share a sense of humour ?? Glad you picked up on flying dragons. I hadn't noticed what I had written ?? I can't stop laughing.

Or is it Fibromyalgia? Unfortunately no all doctors are sympathetic when it's Fibromyalgia, a poorly understood condition, same for ME.

Aldom Wed 22-Jul-20 20:51:11

Bluesky I too wonder about Fibromyalgia. I live with it and the symptoms described by flyinghandbag are similar to mine.

FlyingHandbag Wed 22-Jul-20 21:03:56

Thanks all. X

I agree with Lexisgranny. You need referred to a rheumatologist. My daughter was like this. Tests confirmed she had psoriatic arthritis and was told its linked to her auto immune system. She doesn't have psoriasis but I do. I suffer from constant pain and have been diagnosed with M.E. and fibromyalgia. I think autoimmune diseases are all linked.
The thing is you need it investigated. So insist on a referral.
