What ?. I can’t cook, I can map read. I do not understand your post in the year 2020

kitty I've been pondering on this topic recently. But more from the point of view from M to F.
There has been a lot of discussion recently of M to F people playing rugby for female rugby teams. Evidently some trans fs still have their inherited masculine physical powers which give them an advantage over born females and causes more injuries to them.
They could be banned from playing on these teams. Could cause trouble.

Oh crikey! It was a joke after dh said he wished he could watch tv and check his phone like I can.

kittylester Thu 23-Jul-20 20:08:20

And, I can actually map read. But, we have been jumping stuff in and out of the roof for the past w days and I wish I was as strong as dh!

I can cook and very often cook the evening meal and Sunday lunch at home. We both share the cleaning around the house including me doing crappers and bathrooms.

My wife drives and reads maps and a couple of days ago cleared a partly blocked sink in one of the bathrooms while I was still in the office.

Yes, its 2020 kittylester and equality has come about in many couples modern lives.

Surprise, Surprise. ???

kitty! grin

I would be happy for Mr P to be whatever sex/gender he wanted if it meant he that would actually put things in the damn bin and differentiate between the bedroom floor and the laundry basket.

I could go on, including things about the difference between hearing and listening, but as he is currently NOT in my good books, I will refrain.

For all I care, he could wear my knickers and my stilettos (too high for me these days, and too small for him) and call himself Sharon, but if he doesn't stop leaving the makings of his lunch all over the worktop he may find he has been rendered gender neutral by a swift blow with a rolling pin!

No to your question about the sex change. DH would need a personality change to give him the will to cook, he has always told me emphatically he has no wish to and he never will.

He can do two things at once like listen to music on headphones and mow the lawn, or play golf and write his scores. ?

I’d be interested if a sex change would mean I could read maps - if you ever saw me with one of those large folded road maps when we went on holiday in the car and we had a young family in the back seat, you’d know I need lessons in folding one up so I could see just the bit I needed to, without ripping it.

Kitty I wonder which sex would be most likely to spot a light-hearted thread.

Peardrop50 Thu 23-Jul-20 20:15:36

Phoenix hilarious as always

kittylester Thu 23-Jul-20 20:24:28

peardrop, I'm slightly concerned none of them would.

I now know why people do an op with (lighthearted) added on!! I wish I had!

TerriBull Thu 23-Jul-20 20:37:39

I'm not sure what mine would be able to do, or not do, I guess "they" would have a go at anything, but I do know they wouldn't look very feminine. Hypothetical I know, but there's no chance of any Caitlin Jenner type scenarios in our house!

phoenix Thu 23-Jul-20 20:40:35

Thank you Peardrop50 but did you feel my inner pain?

GrannyLaine Thu 23-Jul-20 20:42:01

phoenix I'm not sure that a rolling pin would be the best tool for that jobconfused

phoenix Thu 23-Jul-20 20:44:21

PS. I have considered star charts, with rewards for achievements, but I feel that at as he is over 65 he may be beyond training or even rehabilitation.

BlueSky Thu 23-Jul-20 20:53:09

Well said Grandad of course some men enjoy cooking, some do all the cleaning, some women are unbelievably untidy, while some can do DIY and even map read! I honestly don't think it's gender related!

kittylester Thu 23-Jul-20 20:56:42

It was an attempt at humour!!

I'll get my coat!

phoenix Thu 23-Jul-20 20:59:41

Grandad1943 perhaps you have misplaced your ability to recognise a humorous post? It may have been what was blocking the sink that your wife dealt with so efficiently the other day?

BTW, plunger or wire/narrow rod? Or did she tackle it from below, removing the trap/ubend?

Personally, I start from above, but if that doesn't work, off with the trap!

biba70 Thu 23-Jul-20 21:03:44

Lol - I know a few people who have had sex changes, and no, it has NOT changed their abilities or talents.

phoenix Thu 23-Jul-20 21:04:37

kitty

I got it, seems some didnt! hmmconfused

kittylester Thu 23-Jul-20 21:11:26

I just bung caustic soda down any blocked pipes.
grin

Kate1949 Thu 23-Jul-20 21:11:30

I'd give up if I were you kitty !

Phoenix, if you read my post thoroughly I believe that you will recognise that the reply to the OP was in a humorous manner.

However, I do wonder what women who continuously mock their husbands on a public forum get out of that?

By the way Phoenix, my wife cleared the drain from the sink with a chemicle drain unblocker, which is the cleanest and most hygienic method in these times. ?

She did have two plungers handy in case it came to that, but the above and a wait of a couple of hours saved her that effort particularly as she had been working in the office all day ??

grannyrebel7 Thu 23-Jul-20 21:14:39

Kitty if you say anything about your DH tongue in cheek you always some posters calling you sexist!

phoenix Thu 23-Jul-20 21:15:29

Might not be the ideal solution for constipation, kitty!

But also, on a serious note (yes, unusual for me) perhaps check if you are on septic tank, rather than mains drainage.

(I surprise myself sometimes)
