Why don’t they use them?

We have a tradesman here in our apartment at the moment and he’s used the bathroom. We have a basket of guest hand towels clearly marked for that purpose and another basket to discard them in for washing. Now, either he hasn’t washed his hands or has used our towels! Either way; yuk! ?

I’d just remove my personal towels while he’s working.

@tanith I would have done that but didn’t anticipate him being here long enough to use the loo! Towels will be straight in the wash once he’s gone!

No point in being annoyed, just wash the towels, as you say you will when he’s gone. I’d sanitise the loo area too, and anywhere he’s worked.

He has probably dried his hands on toilet paper and flushed it.

many men never wash their hands.

Maybe he thought his big workman's hands were unworthy of fresh pretty towels. I found that guests disliked my clean textile table napkins and are happier with paper ones or paper towels.

On a lighter note, I had a woman friend who refused to wash her hands after her weewees because as she said men don't wash after weewees. I never spied on menfolk in my own house and have no evidence either way.
