Exactly the same thing happened to my daughter a few weeks ago. She ended up having to use my car, as they couldn't get the part over the weekend.
Wise advice indeed.

I did not need to renew my MOT until December after the Government said new MOT's were not needed if your MOT had expired,as long as the car was road worthy.
Any way decided to get the car MOT done,booked the car in on a WEDNESDAY and it
FAILED.
The parts for the car are a bit difficult to obtain(like maybe a lot of other things at the moment)
So I should get the car back late on Saturday,
so can I suggest if your gonna put your car through an MOT,book it in on a Monday, if possible.
Then if it fails and it needs parts,the dealer has a few days to get the parts,and its ready for all those weekend day trips.
