Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and although dry , there is a ground frost which in way will see the autumn leaves fall or give different colours on the trees .
Today , usual trip out via Buckingham to Bicester have a coffee and a bite to eat then small shop prior to bus home .
I have got to meet others socially on the bus ,and also in places such as the cafe in Bicester being a sort of regular customer the staff are friendly .
Take Care,
Mick

Ooh ground frost Mick ❄️ We don’t want any of that in lovely north Wales (NannyTopsy is on er olidays!) the forecast for today is ☀️

A titivating day for me today as I’m allowed out tomorrow......don’t want to frighten folks in my quarantine mode?‍♀️ Will also do a proper bottoming of the umble abode as we’ve been home a fortnight and all the cats licks haven’t amounted to much ?

Hope all under the weather and with worries have a better day than yesterday and absentees know they’re missed ?

Urmstongran Thu 01-Oct-20 06:26:11

Good morning Mick and everyone from Malaga. I’m up early as I went to bed at 10pm and there’s only so much sleep anyone (even #lazygran) can need! I hope you managed a better sleep last night GrannyGravy with the Nytol.

October already!

Yesterday we went out for the afternoon and had a lovely stroll along the paseo with lunch at Palm 5 - a really nice bar with the beautiful view of the beach and sea. It was quite buzzy I’m pleased to report. However we made sure we were sat well away from some British holidaymakers, a group of 8 - some of whom had only arrived the day before. Can’t be too careful.

Himself will be going out with his friend to watch (another) Rangers game tonight. He watched Man. Utd on his iPad last night. He’s having his best life.

I shall do the pedicure I was planning to do yesterday!

Hope Thursday is good to us all. Keep safe everyone that’s the main thing. x

Urmstongran Thu 01-Oct-20 06:30:20

This was a photo I took yesterday at Palm 5.

Morning Mick, morning All from a dark corner of Somerset. Can’t see much out there, no frost, it looks damp from yesterday’s rain although a fine-ish day is promised. Could do with a sunny, warm beach, Urmston, a degree of envy here. The half fixed tooth is niggling, hope it hangs on for the month until the next appointment. Physio for me today to hopefully un-stick my stuck neck, a garden centre coffee and some errands while we’re out. Take care everyone, look after yourselves.

grannysyb Thu 01-Oct-20 06:52:55

Lovely photo Urmstongran. No rain here at the moment. Off to upholstery class this morning. The community centre says we have to be in two bubbles of six, as there are 14 of us, not easy! However we will just have have some sort of rota. Hope everyone has a good day, and that absentees will soon be back.

Ashcombe Thu 01-Oct-20 06:53:11

Good morning all you lovely people!

We’ve been awake a while - enjoying TIB! Another dull day in our part of France. Yesterday we visited Ferté le Bernard, which is an attractive town (see photo), about 20 minutes from us.

Hope everyone is well and enjoys the first day of a new month.

Bellasnana Thu 01-Oct-20 06:57:28

Good morning and ‘White Rabbits’ from sunny Malta.
I have slept late today so am going to spend all day catching up.

Had another long FaceTime with DGD yesterday. She’s really missing school but thinks her mum might let her go back in two weeks time.

Lovely photo Urmston, looks a lot like Malta!

Have a good day everyone, and hugs for those who are struggling.☀️

Urmstongran Thu 01-Oct-20 07:00:52

Morning Ashconbe lovely photo. Sorry to be dim - but what’s TIB. OH, lightbulb moment as I typed it!!
Tea in Bed?

Beechnut Thu 01-Oct-20 07:02:38

Good Morning all from a damp Severnside.

Here we are, the start of a new month. I went to bed at 2.30am as I fell asleep in the chair after my daughter, man and dog went home. They brought over some stuff to store in my garage and a cottage pie to heat up for our meal.

I will try to tidy my craft room today as I want to try out my new dies.

Hope you all have a good day and take care ?

Ashcombe Thu 01-Oct-20 07:03:56

Spot on, Urmstongran!

Yes, most French towns, even quite small ones, seem to preserve their old buildings.

Sark Thu 01-Oct-20 07:05:58

Good Morning everyone.
Dry but greyish here in Oxfordshire
Lovely photos Urmstongran and Ashcombe
I am a bit envious (!) and we really missed not being able to go to France this year.
Hope everyone has a good day and can get out and about before the rain sets in tomorrow.
flowers for any having a rough ride right now

Good morning from a cloudy Leicestershire.

Got a face to face appointment with my surgeon today. It is a year since my op so hoping all is well for another year!

Call My Bluff on Zoom this evening.

Have a good day everyone.

brook2704 Thu 01-Oct-20 07:20:18

Good morning everyone from Inverness, it’s just getting light. Yesterday we had a miserable grey rainy day so hoping it improves today.
It’s my flu jab appointment later and then I’ll probably pop into town for a browse around the shops.
I love the sunny picture Urmston , another one here with a touch of envy ....
Hope all goes well today dragonfly
Thinking of gilly and other absent posters and those with worries and struggles
Have a good day everyone and take care whatever the day brings ?

kittylester Thu 01-Oct-20 07:23:16

Morning all. My bit of North Leicestershire, which is about 3 miles as the crow flies away from dragonfly, is also cloudy.

Not a lot on today for me. DH is driving all day. I think I'll do a couple of girly type phone calls!

Take care everyone.

Jaxjacky Thu 01-Oct-20 07:24:15

Good morning Mick and all from a damp S Hants, should be a dry day today before storm Alex kicks in tonight. Officially take over my allotment today, far too wet to do anything but plan and order seeds.
Have a pleasant day all, a gentle one for those absent.

Grammaretto Thu 01-Oct-20 07:30:18

Good Morning all from the Scottish Borders. It is solid rain outside but dry and warm indoors (heating is on!)

Thanks for the photo of the 5 Palms Urmston and thanks for a glimpse of ancient France Ashcombe (which I am missing as our holiday was cancelled)

Dragonfly I will be thinking of you today. All the best.

I'm up earlier than of late as the electrician is supposed to be coming. Our very old electrical system is on its last legs and he keeps it going by warning us how much it would cost to rewire the house.

How exciting to be starting an allotment Jaxjacky and ordering seeds.

The district nurse dropped by yesterday and gave us both our flu jabs at home. Until there's a covid19 vaccine, I think we've had our lot now. I had the pneumonia and shingles last week.

Hope you all have a good day.

CherryCezzy Thu 01-Oct-20 07:32:16

Good morning Mick and everyone. It's a nice clear morning here in the Gower. It had better stay that way as we have our MOT and service today and it's about a mile from anywhere we can grab a coffee (the garage isn't allowing any customers to sit inside).

Urmstongran, don't, just don't, I'm going a sickly shade of envy . Honesty, it looks like a lovely spot I'm sure you enjoyed ?

dragonfly I wish you the best of luck for today's f to f appointment x

Hope everyone has a good day, still thinking of gillybob.
Be kind to yourselves everyone ❤️

Sar53 Thu 01-Oct-20 07:33:30

Good morning everyone from a dull, grey, damp Essex by the sea.
Supermarket shop this morning and DH meets up with his friends this afternoon. That's it nothing else on the agenda.
I have a few tv programmes to catch up with and I have started a new, quite large cross Stitch so will probably settle down with those this afternoon.
Love the pictures from France and Spain, we should have been in France last week but postponed now till next May.
Have a pleasant Thursday everyone and stay safe xx

NanKate Thu 01-Oct-20 07:40:53

Morning Mick Kitty Bella and All.

A grey cloudy day in South Bucks.

Yes Bella it will be good when your DGD meets up with her school friends again. Our 9 year old DGS very much missed his pals. On the day he returned to school he felt rather nervous on the way there, but he saw one of his particular friends and he was off at high speed to catch up with him ?

Stocking up with favourite foods as our DS and both the boys are coming for the weekend as a late celebration of my birthday. An excuse for choc cake ?

Kalu Thu 01-Oct-20 07:43:51

Good morning everyone from Glasgow where it is quite grey, very still and quiet and I am enjoying my morning espresso to help waken me up.

DD1 phoned yesterday morning once the girls had gone to school just for a chat without any interruptions in the background. It does us both good to have these lovely catch ups on the phone at least as she can’t just pop in for a coffee as she normally did.

No plans for the day as yet but the sky is brightening up so I may footer about outdoors.

Have a good day all and special good wishes to those going through troubled times whatever they may be, especially gilly, take care and I hope things improve for you soon. ?

Grandmabatty Thu 01-Oct-20 07:50:46

Good morning All. I can see umbrellas bobbing along outside so I'm assuming it is wet. It's fairly gloomy too. I had a lovely morning with ds yesterday. I caught up with all his news and we had a very nice breakfast after a near miss in the car park. A car decided to reverse back along the car park paying no heed to what was behind her ie me! I had to hammer on the horn and even then I wasn't sure she would stop. Fortunately she did - just. My wee heart was pounding. She then gave me an old fashioned look as if twas my fault that I was in her way. I gave her one of my best teacher glares. I needed a coffee after that! I haven't felt well this week but today I'm feeling a bit more like myself, as they say. No plans as such. I'll pick up dgs soon and drop him at his granddad's. Then I intend to get on with a cross stitch kit I'm working on. Whatever your day brings, I hope it brings happiness.

Marydoll Thu 01-Oct-20 07:52:40

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, with rain forecast.
I had planned to plant some bulbs today, so unsure now. I had planned to rope in DH.

Yesterday's flu jab has left me with a very painful arm and feeling pretty ropey. ?
I've been getting them for years without any side effects. So I suppose I shouldn't complain.
The whole operation in the local football stadium was very slick, well it would have been if DH had parked in the correct car pack.?
He has been a fan since a wee boy, but this was the first time he has been in their new stadium. So it constituted a day out for him!?

I noticed Grandmattie, hasn't posted over the last few days. I hope she is ok. It's just that she is an early morning , regular poster.

Dragonfly, I remember when you first got your diagnosis and can't believe how quickly times has passed.
It's good to see you posting again and I wish you all the best for today.?

I got a worrying message from my pharmacy last night.
I warned of possible, further Covid disruption and advised m to pick up any outstanding prescriptions and order any repeats ASAP. That doesn't bode well, does it?

Wishing everyone a pleasant day.

Taichinan Thu 01-Oct-20 07:54:01

Morning all from a second day of rain on the Angus coast. Just dashing off to get ready for my morning of four tai chi classes and no time to say more. I shall pop back in at lunchtime to catch up with all the grandmotherly doings ???
