Good Morning Everyone,
Its another dark start , signs of maybe a small frost with wetness on paving here in Brackley .
Housework priority this morning , prior to getting the bus and doing my usual Buckingham and Bicester , have a coffee and a bite to eat then small shop, before returning home to watch the Giro on TV .
Take Care ,
Mick

Good morning from a dark E Kent. Probably dry today. It would be too much to expect some sunshine.
We had a hilarious virtual meeting with DH’s old school friends. We meet about every 18 months somewhere and this year it was to be Edinburgh this week. Most of the hour was spent trying to figure out how Zoom worked. I was the only one who had actually Zoomed, but not only being a woman, we have been married the shortest time so have no seniority! It’s odd how chauvinist they become when together...
Tai chi today. I’m leading as our regular lady had a spectacular car crash, totalled her car and walked out of it, traumatised but unhurt. She’s taking delivery of another car today. The lady who knows everything won’t lead but is very free with suggestions. She makes very annoyed indeed...
Stay safe today , especially those with sorrow, pain or distress.

Good Morning Mick & GrandMattie and all to follow.

Early start, tea finished, now off to shower and dress before Hairdressers for both of us. Sky already dark blue before sun up.

Have a safe day and make it count, whatever you do.
Hugs from South of ???

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. Damp outside but there is the apricot streak to the east where the sun is rising.

A very lucky escape for your tai chi lady * grandMattie*.

I’ve not left the house for nearly a week so I’m thinking I might go out today or tomorrow. See what I feel like doing once I get up.

My sister in-law sent me a lovely video of her grandson yesterday. He’s a lively one.

Hope there aren’t too many worries to deal with today ?

Scentia Tue 06-Oct-20 07:11:42

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Looks cloudy and cold out there today, I will take the pooch out shortly.
DH and I are both full of cold and have bad throats, DH hasn’t eaten all day yesterday because of his throat, me on the other hand managed three meals, a bag of skips and a tub of ice cream!!! I don’t know why I suffer with my weight?
We were both in bed by 8pm last night and I still overslept this morning.
Today we are going in to the factory to finish a few bits and bobs then we will come home.
I booked a swim session for me DD and DGS for tomorrow but not sure if I will go now, as I don’t want to spread my cold everywhere. DD can take DGS as they are both better now.
Take care folks and try and raise a smile at least once today????

Jaxjacky Tue 06-Oct-20 07:11:53

Good morning Mick and all from a damp S Hants although it’s not raining. No real plans today, might split these cyclamen into two pots, have a peaceful day all.

dragonfly46 Tue 06-Oct-20 07:13:09

Good morning, still dark in Leicestershire although I believe this is our one dry day of the week.

Nothing planned so will take DH for a walk.
DD started her new job as scrum master yesterday - where do they get these terms?

Thinking of Gilly as always and hoping Urmston’s family are feeling better.
Hope everyone has a good day.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 06-Oct-20 07:14:20

Good morning Mick and all

We have had rain overnight and I think more is to come!!

We have two GSs today and school run (hardly a run as the primary school is next door but one?) and the 5yr old stays for a sleepover and baby goes home. If the numbers of new Covid cases keeps escalating I wonder how long we will be able to do this.

Haven’t seen Sar53 post for a few days ?

Thinking of all our missing friends (((hugs)))

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️

Beauregard Tue 06-Oct-20 07:25:16

Good morning all from Plymouth. A mixed bag of weather in store today.

An uneventful journey travelling down from Derbyshire yesterday. Half empty coach, all well distanced. I had a walk around the harbour after checking in. Today we have a free morning - shopping grin. Then it's off to Looe this afternoon.

Hope everyone is feeling well and today is good for us all.

Mapleleaf Tue 06-Oct-20 07:33:08

Morning all,
Lightening up nicely now, but a definite chill about. Dry for the moment but rained in the night.

We had a power surge in our little street yesterday, resulting in no power for 4 hours whilst a temporary fix was done. They are coming back today to fix it properly. The result in our house is no heating or hot water (affected the boiler), no hot shower (affected the pump), extractor fan not working in kitchen, radio alarm clock damaged and a few other things, too. They assure us in a letter that equipment will be repaired. I flipping hope so, or it's a lot of expense for us to put it right, not to mention inconvenience.

Lovely cyclamens, Jaxjacky.

Hope all our missing GM's have a better day today. ?

Grandmabatty Tue 06-Oct-20 07:34:09

Good morning All. Dampish in Polmont and still a bit gloomy. The sky hasn't woken up yet. Although I was at the loo twice in the night, I feel fairly refreshed which is a welcome change. Having dgs today so we'll go for a walk. Yesterday he spent a lovely half hour splashing in puddles and gazing earnestly down drains then weeding my path. The fish man cometh on a Tuesday so I'll grab something from the van. Have a good day all.

NanKate Tue 06-Oct-20 07:35:01

Morning Mick and All

Grey/blue/pink sky in South Bucks.

How lovely Beau being by the sea. I just love the salty aroma, the call of the seagulls.

Having my feet sorted by my lovely podiatrist, then a bit of shopping before returning home to the tennis in Paris.

Pantglas2 Tue 06-Oct-20 07:38:18

Morning all from a sopping wet Wales! Good job I intend staying in today!

Those cyclamens look delightful Jaxjacky - wish I had green fingers! I manage a few herbs and my lavender thrives for me to replenish my linen cupboard but that’s about it!

Hope all unwell (Scentia, that includes sore throats!) and not feeling clever t’other wise have a better day, even if it’s only with weather better than mine!☀️

cornergran Tue 06-Oct-20 07:43:22

Morning Mick, morning All from a seriously soggy corner of Somerset. May be a jumping in puddles day smile. Heap of ironing for me then lunch in a garden centre to fortify me for some plant and ‘stuff’ shopping. Fortunately trolleys are available as Mr C can’t carry much, he’ll grumble, a more impatient patient I’ve not come across. Thinking of everyone with heavy hearts, take care.

brook2704 Tue 06-Oct-20 07:43:37

Good morning everyone from Inverness, it’s just getting light and I think it’s eventually stopped raining!
I’ve an online dance exercise class this morning but nothing much planned after that. The gardens very soggy after all the rain so I don’t think I’ll be doing much gardening until it’s dried out a bit - whenever that is....Those cyclamen look good jax definitely worth repotting up I’d say
Enjoy your trip to Looe beauregard - and your shopping!
Hope everyone has a good day today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

NannyJan53 Tue 06-Oct-20 07:47:34

Good Morning from another dull Black Country. I don't think I have been out for the last 4 days! Will be out this afternoon for my flu jab! That will be my excitement for the day.

DGD (aged 12) video called me yesterday. She has taken to doing this often lately. We have totally missed our outings etc this year, and I so miss being close and hugging them.

Erm, what is a scrum master Dragonfly ?

Enjoy your trip Beauregard being by the sea is a tonic we could all do with right now.

Wishing you all a dry day! Special thoughts and hugs to gilly

Pittcity Tue 06-Oct-20 07:48:08

Good morning from Colchester where it is still raining.
Hope it stops long enough for my walk into town to help at the Air Ambulance charity shop. The shop is very quiet as people are very wary and I have to wear a mask but I enjoy it.

Sark Tue 06-Oct-20 07:49:16

Good Morning everyone
Multi coloured sky in Oxfordshire.
Mapleleaf hope you get everything sorted soon

Gelisajams Tue 06-Oct-20 07:53:32

Good morning from a damp Morecambe Bay. Lazy day planned for today and a chance to catch up on the mountain of washing that has accumulated from goodness knows where. Beautiful cyclamen Jax one of my favourite plants. Take care and stay safe everyone ?

MawB2 Tue 06-Oct-20 07:55:28

Good morning all from N Bucks where it seems to have stopped raining for the time being.
Thinking of those with pain or sorrow and wishing you all some respite and a pleasant day.

kittylester Tue 06-Oct-20 08:02:36

Good morning all from an overcast bit of North Leicestershire.

I have a hygienist appointment today - the first for a year - I hope she has a pick axe handy!!

And, unfortunately, our roof repair has failed, again!! So more drastic action is called for and the hall remains plastered and undecorated.

Sending love and best wishes to everyone - especially our gilly.

Ashcombe Tue 06-Oct-20 08:07:30

Good morning, one and all.

Many thanks for all the kind wishes for my journey back from France. I’m pleased to be safely in my beloved Torbay after a journey that proved to be horrendous on the French side. Their roads are poorly lit, even on major interchanges on the peripherique around Caen. Add to that the heavy rain and my elderly eyes and it didn’t go well! We should tell them about cats' eyes!!

The crossing was choppy at times but the onward travel from Portsmouth went well, taking 3.5 hours to cover the distance of 150 miles with one comfort break.

Now to quarantine for 14 days. Today's highlight will be a delivery from Asda!

Best wishes to all on here, especially those in poor health or with worries.

Good morning everyone from a pretty dull damp day here on the east coast of Fife I’m hoping the weather picks up later on it’s much nicer to see the sunshine it fairly lifts the spirits. I’ve a busy morning starting with the chiropodist coming to see to both me and my DH. Then a phone conversation from a stroke support volunteer it’s a person who the stroke volunteer organisation has matched me up with because of similar interests and because she’s also experienced a stroke and has recovered well enough to be able to go back to work. Not that I’ll be doing that. I’m also getting a call from my minister who will be updating me on the service held on Sunday or at least the service he’ll be taking this Sunday coming which I hope we can get to. Perhaps I’ll be on a zoom this morning depends on my busy morning schedules. Hey ho I just want my leg to feel less painful and I would like to try and gain my confidence in walking back so that I can finish my daily challenge set by my youngest grandsons. Have a lovely day everyone leave your worries behind think of something nice to set you on your way a day at a time sweet Jesus comes to mind. Who sang that can you tell me?

harrigran Tue 06-Oct-20 08:11:45

Good morning from a bright NE.
Yesterday was a day of heavy rain.
I can' t remember the last time I was out of the house as we are in strict lockdown.
I have a pile of novels I ordered at the start so I am able to lose myself in stories of warmer climates.

Gingster Tue 06-Oct-20 08:14:50

Good morning. It’s not looking too bad out there. Bluish sky with a few peachy looking clouds. Yesterday afternoon turned out sunny, so we walked up the hill to Rayleigh Mount. An ancient wooded site. Very high up considering Essex is quite flat.

I’m picking my specs up today. Varifocals! Hope I get used to them, quickly. DH couldn’t get on with them at all.

Not much on today. I can’t get used to this inactivity. I’m so used to having my days filled with different hobbies and clubs. Meet ups and social events. I was supposed to be going to North Norfolk next week but now that’s been postponed until the Spring. DH ‘might’go fishing today so I’ll have a quiet house. DD ‘might’ pop in for a coffee . Oh well, it’s going to be a ‘might happen’ sort of day.

DG going back to Uni today. She had a nice weekend at home. She has only had virtual lectures so far but will have a hands on tutorial tomorrow as she is doing Mental Health Nursing.

Wishing you all a pleasant day, whatever you’re doing. ???
