Repeats of Sewing Bee are on BBC2 during the afternoon at the moment. This prompted me to check to see whether there is to be another series and there is. So for all you seamstresses (is there a male word for seamstress?) it may not be too late to enter.

Dressmaker? Tailor? The Sewing Bee is very inclusive and features people from all walks of life so I think there should be a title that encompasses all - Sew-person??

Think they now say “ Sewers” which I find a trifle clumsy

Seamstress? and could the men be 'seamsters'? grin

aggie the word sewer makes me think of the contents when one opens a manhole cover.

It does Charleygirl5 , but that’s what I heard

If one has half a brain and can differentiate and understand the meaning of both words- no problem.
