Good Morning Everyone,
Its but looking dry outside this morning in Brackley .
Today , quiet easy day do some more housework , and settle down and watch TV and the Giro later .
Being a fan of real ale I feed into to an email related group ,and have read a recent piece in relation to the 10pm shutdowns this couple were in a Wetherspoons at 915pm and the pub was deserted.
Take Care ,
Mick

Good morning from a still dar but dry E Kent.
Mick, have you tried “Beer bods”,? For your subscription, they send you X number of beers that you drink at a particular time and share your experience with other beer lovers.
Nothing on today-usual stuff.
I hope that you all have a good day especially those who are sad, wobbly or in pain. Stay safe.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. I bet it is cold out but as I haven’t been to take the dog yet I am just guessing.
Mick we used to be regular pub goers and love our real ale, but since lockdown eased actually, we just haven’t felt welcome when we go into a pub so after the first week of the re opening we haven’t been near. We have been to our micro pubs and got take outs every weekend. So the fact the pub was deserted at 9.15 does not surprise me one bit.
Today I will go and see DD and DGS but will not go swimming with them as I still have this cold, do I will send them on their merry way to the leisure centre and do some cleaning for her whilst she is gone.
I fo hope you all have a good day and stay safe today.

Good morning from Yorkshire. Quite excited as I can start to use my newly fitted kitchen. Well half fitted! Walls have been removed. Most of the units are in, I have electric to most appliances but floor, heating and all of the finishing work is still to be done and the fitter/joiner has gone on holiday for 2 weeks. But I do have a washing machine. My neighbours will I’m sure be pleased as they have been brilliant helping me out. The massive clean up of my home starts today.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 07-Oct-20 06:58:45

Good morning Mick and all

Beginning to get light here, and it’s dry. GS snuggled into my bed at 6.30am which was delightful. He will have his cooked breakfast before school, for a 5 yr old he has a big appetite.

Thinking of our missing friends.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️

Good morning from a dark Manchester. Out for a walk this morning. We will have to back for lunchtime because the Virgin man?is coming to sort out pixilating on the TV. Finished watching the series Life on TV last night. It left me with mixed feelings of joy and sadness, a bit like life is I suppose. School pick up later. Gs1 has the new Smyths toy catalogue. We can choose Christmas toys Nan he said smile. Making the most of the gc. We are in a family bubble, hoping our restrictions don't get any worse and the family bubble goes pop. Have a good day everyone, hugs for those who need one and flowersfor those with extra cares and worries.

Good morning from a very dark Glasgow, but I don't know what it's like outside. I can't ask my friend Alexa, as DH is still sleeping, which is very unusual for him! I had to check he was still alive, he was so quiet. Living with me is indeed exhausting

Welcome Miss Chatelaine, have not seen you on the thread before.
We had a similar kitchen scenario a few years ago, so glad when it was finished! Enjoy!
I kept walking up and down, stroking the granite work tops. Sad, I know. ?

Grannygravy, how lovely. My son is insistent we don't have DGD just now, as she is at school and I'm so vulnerable. I'm heartbroken! I love those early morning cuddles and miss the constant chatting. ?

We are off this morning for a run down the coast and having last week's cancelled anniversary meal. The numbers are still rising, so we have decided that this will be the last outing for a while.

We had an early morning visit to LIDl yesterday, for a quick shop. It was fatal!
I ended up doing DD's, which makes a change, as she did all of mine, through shielding.
Surprisingly, wink there was a RANGE next door! I was like a child in a sweetie shop, but DH who doesn't shop was even worse. I hadn't been there since before shielding began.
DH was seduced by all the Christmas stuff. He kept putting things in the trolley, saying it was for our wee granddaughter. That's his excuse!

I'm not going to spoil our happy thread, but just want to say to our three friends on the norty step, I'm thinking of you, with you all the way and hoping to see you back posting soon.

For all those with sorry and worry take care. Sark, hoping to hear positive news about your daughter.

Enjoy your day all.

Good morning from dark Leicestershire, I believe it is going to be sunny today.

Not much planned - Ocado delivery.

Thoughts to gilly and urmston’s family and anyone else who is struggling.

Pantglas2 Wed 07-Oct-20 07:10:47

Morning all from a much better north Wales after the deluge yesterday! Lord, we do have some rain here!

Off to meet some friends for a distanced walk around Conwy quay later - haven’t seen them since March so a lot to catch up on, we may be some time ?

Have a safe day everyone x

Beechnut Wed 07-Oct-20 07:10:51

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s dry with red sky. Makes a wonderful backdrop for the trees.

I started to watch Life last night * mancgirl*. I’ll possible watch some more today.

Nothing much on for me. I didn’t go out yesterday and have decided not to go today either. So will tomorrow be the day.......

Have a good day all ?

Beauregard Wed 07-Oct-20 07:17:09

Good morning from Plymouth. Should be a nice day until the rain comes in later.

Today's agenda is a visit to Torquay this morning and Cockington village in the afternoon. I've been to Torquay before, but over 20 years ago. Looking forward to both.

Stilllearning Lovely memories of Plymouth, recalling a very special time for you.

Hope everyone is feeling well today and the day is a good one.

harrigran Wed 07-Oct-20 07:19:05

Good morning from a dark and windy NE.
Highlight of the week click and collect from Sainsbury's.
DH spent yesterday afternoon working in the study and I watched some old recordings about craft fairs, I am seriously thinking of watching the pile of DVDs we keep for the GC.
Enjoyed the last All creatures great and small last night, so much better than the swearing and violence you get in some dramas.
Take care.

Ashcombe Wed 07-Oct-20 07:26:04

Good morning from a rather overcast Torquay!

The pink sky to the East is dramatic but doesn’t bode well for the shepherds!!

Beauregard I hope Torquay lives up to your expectations. Cockington is always a delight! We were married there five years ago and had our reception in “The Drum”, a pub designed by Lutyens. I live in Babbacombe, which is a little way out of the main town and has some lovely parks and stunning views from the Downs. Enjoy your visit!

Wishing everyone the best of days whatever your circumstances.

Good morning from Colchester where the sun is trying it's early morning best. We are having a dry day today.
Wednesday meetup is back in a cafe. We have found one that is spacious with tables of 4. We are usually a come as you please group so never know how many to expect. Today will be a bit of an experiment.

Sar53 Wed 07-Oct-20 07:35:58

Good morning everyone from Essex by the sea where the sun is shining. We are waiting for a visit from someone from the water board to check our meter. The company that supply our water have reduced our direct debit whereas the company that collect the waste have increased it by more than 100%, it doesn't make sense.
I have a flu jab booked for 11.21, mustn't be late.
I've been feeling a bit down lately but have decided that I must pick myself up and keep on keeping on as my 89 year old neighbour would say.
Have a lovely Wednesday and stay safe everyone xx

Grammaretto Wed 07-Oct-20 07:38:09

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's very still and about 10degrees (50 old money) I'll be happy with that.
I don't know the RANGE Marydoll here we have something called Home Bargains but they are about to close. I guess there's a limit to the number of ironing boards that any one household needs.

GrannyGravy that's lovely to have your DGS for breakfast.
I'm jealous
Welcome MissChateline in Yorkshire.
We will want photos of the new kitchen!
Enjoy your beers Mick
I'm about to enjoy my porridge.
Happy Wednesday everyone with special thoughts for all those with big worries and there are several on here.

Marydoll Wed 07-Oct-20 07:41:58

Grammaretto, we have a brand new Home Bargains opening here! I haven't been yet, as my family thought it was too risky.
The Range is more household stuff like lamps, cushions, paint etc. I never come out empty handed! grin

Beauregard Wed 07-Oct-20 07:45:15

Ashcombe I visited Babbington many years ago - we went to the model village which was lovely. What a nice area to live in.

brook2704 Wed 07-Oct-20 07:45:39

Good morning everyone from Inverness, it’s only just getting light but I think it’s dry and cloudy. We’ve sunshine and showers forecast for later. Yesterday we had a lovely local walk, slightly hilly but we were rewarded by beautiful views of the mountains and the sea when we got to the top of the hill - a lovely feeling!
A warm welcome to misschateline
Today I’m looking forward to lunching out with my friend whose birthday is at the end of the week - I’ve arranged a lift there and back so a glass or two of bubbly will definitely be included.....?
Enjoy your precious GC cuddles GG and mancgirl
I hope you enjoy your trip out marydoll and enjoy the seaside
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care whatever the day brings ?

NannyJan53 Wed 07-Oct-20 07:47:30

Good Morning from a (hopefully) much brighter Black Country.

Flu jabs yesterday, in and out within 2 or 3 minutes. Now have a sore arm!

Bought a birthday card for son in law yesterday, but not sure now. It has a photo of a man in a Laboratory superimposed with the head of a golden Labrador (the spitting image of their dog) Inside it says ' The Lab report is in, you are officially old'. Thinking now that maybe he might take offence.? He will be 47! hmm Perhaps I am overthinking.

Looks like it may be a dry day today, so a walk is in order. May drive to Mums and walk with her along the Staffordshire Railway Walk.

Sorry you are feeling down Sar53, I think many of us are having bouts of this, wondering when life may get back to some normality. flowers

Welcome to this thread MissChateline

Hoping your family are on the mend Urmston

Wishing you all a lovely day. Thoughts as ever with gilly

Sark Wed 07-Oct-20 07:49:18

Good Morning from Oxfordshire
I didn't get to read yesterday's thread so I hope everyone is ok.
Thank you Marydoll DD2 appointment was mixed really.
They said it is chronic migraine and want to give her more tablets. She already takes a number of antidepressants and I was wondering if they were contributing to her headaches.
I am no medic though and I hate to see her suffer so fingers crossed they will help.
Work now and a quick dash into Sainsburys on the way.
Have a good day and best wishes to all smilesunshine

Sark Wed 07-Oct-20 07:52:21

Sar53 well done with your "keep on keeping on"!flowers

MellowYellow Wed 07-Oct-20 08:00:14

Morning from a strangely still and overcast south Cornwall smelling of sulphur! No idea what that's about unless it's floated up from the docks. A first for here anyway.

My son and I drink real ale Mick. I've never stroked my worksurfaces Marydoll but I am occasionally tenderly laying my hand on my new dishwasher as I am in love with it. grin

Today a quick coffee with a friend before 3 year old and his mum come round. He is missing me, it seems. I have a big chunk of polystyrene and a cordless screwdriver ready for him to make a mess.

The best of days to you all.
Oh I forgot, a routine scan yesterday showed I have cysts on my ovaries. Ooh. At least they have been brought out of hiding! Another adventure begins......

Jaxjacky Wed 07-Oct-20 08:02:52

Good morning Mick and all from S Hants, looks like the sun is trying to break through. Today’s excitement is ears micro suctioned this morning, Sainsbury’s delivery pm, what excitement!
Have a peaceful day all.

Gingster Wed 07-Oct-20 08:07:27

Good morning all.

I’m taking the twin grandsons aged 14 to the orthodontist today. They haven’t been able to have appointments since March, so goodness knows whats happened behind those braces. They like me taking them, as we stop off on the way back to school and I give them £5 between them to pop in the local shop to get a snack. Get something healthy I say. ??.

Yesterday I collected my new specs. Varifocals! They arent great but I’ll give them a chance. When I was trying them on , wearing my mask was making the specs steam up. Hopeless!

Wishing you all a pleasant day ???
