In these testing times good to find reasons to smile...
Today my DGDs have an INSET day..at 9:00 I got a WhatsApp message from DGD1 asking for my recipe for chocolate sauce! I hope the kitchen is clean by the time DD gets home ?

I left the door to the greenhouse open last night, by mistake. When I got up this morning, I looked out of the bedroom window to see a sparrow rummaging around in the grow bags of tomatoes, looking for his breakfast. When I went down to the garden to have a look, I saw that he'd helped himself to the seeds from inside a burst tomato. I might just cut another one up for him! smile

A call from DD3. I can’t say what it was about but have everything crossed.

A beautiful, bright red sunrise. Lifted the spirits before the clouds arrived, they’re lifting now, sun peeping through shining on the spiders webs in the garden, intricate, lacey, wondrous things.

Watching a squirrel in the fence trying to get an apple which was almost as big as he was from a tree. He got it!

DDs dog ( we are dog sitting) I told her to go into her basket as I was cooking, she wandered over to her toy box, pulled out her teddy and took it into the basket with her and went to sleep, so cute! I just had to go and give her a cuddle.......
Stupid and soft? Moi?

The man in front of me in Lidl this morning who had 8 cyclamens in his trolley and nothing else. He's got a nice day ahead when the rain stops.

Looking at blue skies and a beautiful tree I can see from my seat in the living room. It signals the change in seasons and is mostly a glorious red.

For me it was a four mile walk with a coffee stop. Good conversation with fellow walkers. All socially distanced, of course and five in the group.

I saw a dozen or so of these on the beach today and thought they were very funny/weird. I smiled even more when I got home, looked them up online and so how much they were worth!

Is a Jaffa cake a biscuit or a cake? Believe it or not this debate went to court to make the decision

Nothing so far---phone's been off most of the week, lost the broadband before, family news doesn't get any better and I'm peed-off with this Covid.

The look on Mr. S.'s face this morning when he came back from the vets and was going to be charged £132 for a tray of dog food and medication for 2 dogs for flea, tick and worm treatment.

He came back with the food and left the medication behind. All sorted, just have to renew our healthy pet plan with the vets we've recently transferred too. They're 'phoning tomorrow and when I've got it set up, I'll re order the tablets.
