Didn’t know that about the Satellite dishes, they all face the same way then? towards South?

( although I will have to look the other way, as if I followed the satellite dish advice I would be pointing at the Western sky on my own home.)

I did look last night but it was very cloudy hope to have better luck tonight.

I hope the sky will be clear enough. There was a sat dish on my house before I bought it and I have never used it - cable for me - so not sure which way it points.

We have had a really good view two nights running.

Our next-door neighbour is a keen astronomer. Perhaps he'll let us look through his telescope - if we get a clear sky.

Don't know where our nearest dish is. Can't even see our nearest house. Will be watching from our mid Cornish home. Star grazing superb here. Hardly any light pollution,

The front of our house faces East and Mars has been very prominent - and very red - low in the Eastern sky for some time, but I really hope it’s clear enough to see it this evening. Odds are against it if the forecast is right though.☹️ I didn’t know the thing about the satellite dish.

Mars has been visible for a few weeks now in the night sky ( I'm in Northern England) as has Saturn and Jupiter. Been fascinating me. Really disappointing when it's cloudy!! Also see Venus early morning.

Yes, we’ve been looking at it for about a week now. Can’t say it looked very red especially, but will keep looking.

High, clear and fairly bright orange at 10pm. Here we'd look towards the river (due south) then up and left.
