Hello, I hope people don't mind me asking for some help but a few weeks back my daughters dog had some puppies and when they are old enough I'm going to bring one home.

But I'm really stuck on names for it so if anyone had any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. My other dog is Craig. Thank you very much.

Boy or girl?

What kind of dog?
A fluffy little one, or a big bruiser? smile
Another nice thread in the making.

Oh how wonderful. Please more information.

They are Schnauzers and I think I'll get a boy. My dog Craig is an old labrador.

I always wanted a dog called Trevor. I have no idea why grin

I think Trevor and Craig would match up well.

I like Geoffrey not that I’m a doggy person. I’m sure someone will suggest a name you’ll love.

Tinker? Sorry thinking of Craig tinker on Corrie.
I like men’s names for dogs like Arthur, Frank, Brian, Dave.

I always think Lupin is a good name.

Bathsheba Thu 29-Oct-20 13:01:12

Is he black? Schwarz might be an idea for a black German dog.
Or Hugo, Bruno, Axel, Milo, Theo, Max, Otto, Leo, Fritz, Rudy - all German names.

Ellianne Thu 29-Oct-20 13:03:56

Good point Bathsheba. German names.
(Strangely enough I have GSs with 2 of those names!)

After Harry Potter I think Lupin would only really suit a dog that might just be a werewolf!

Definitely not right for a Schnauzer.

Rover? Rex? King?

Jayt Thu 29-Oct-20 13:29:52

Harvey

Love your user name - so I'd have to go for Thomas grin

Our dog is called Dylan, Glorybee. Other family dogs names: Dudley, Penny (a rescue already named), Ralph, Otto, Poppy, Betty. My friend has always had Schnauzers - Harvey, Scooter, Harley. My neighbour's chocolate Lab is called Trevor, she also has in the family Millie, Mary, Pea & Wendy. My son in law wanted to call his black Cocker Colin, but it was ruled out by the girls. Calling dogs 'proper' names seems quite popular these days. Maybe Wilf, Archie, Alf, Nigel, Bertie ....... Please let us know what you decide.

We had two Miniature Schnauzers. They were the best dogs ever. They were named by our 2 youngest daughters (so not out fault) Woody and Buzz.
