Good morning from a misty E Kent.
Yes, I know what you mean Mick, missing outings. I have barely left the house since we visited DD in January, although I am in rude good health. Getting cabin fever.
I was saddened to learn of the death of Rabbi Sacks. He really was a good ‘in; wise, learned, intelligent and above all loving and kind to his fellow man. Sadly missed.

Good morning Mick and all to come.
Up early to look after the DGSs as daughter is working an early. Will stay at their home for the 11am 2 minutes silence and then bring them home, they enjoy time with our dog and we will take him to the local park.
DD has requested roast dinner so that will be ready for when she gets home.
We have a family Zoom catch up then with my sisters and all the cousins. There are 26 of us now of four generations and we are all very close so it has been difficult not being able to meet up. Zoom is not quite the same but it will be good to see and talk to them.
Hope all those struggling with pain and challenges have a better day.

Good morning, Mick and company from a dark, quiet corner of Torbay!

Like Mick, I have missed live performances, both participating in amateur ones and watching professional shows. We had tickets for “Swan Lake” with the Birmingham Royal Ballet at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth in April. Initially, this was postponed but then cancelled. The theatre itself was in danger of folding but I think it has benefited from a rescue package.

The photos were taken in my church on Friday in honour of Remembrance Sunday.

Thinking of those who grieve and wishing those with problems some light in their lives.

Welcome to the new faces I see and the missing ones of late.

Auntieflo I have wondered about planting my olive tree in the ground. Perhaps I will next year or at least a bigger pot.

I think I should do some tidying up today. I seem to be spreading stuff in all places around the house instead of their proper homes. Mustn’t forget to do the monthly admin either later.

Good morning Mick and everyone. We have another lovely day here in Malta.

What lovely photos Ashcombe, poppies are amongst my favourite flowers whatever time of year but they take on a special significance at this time of remembrance.

Yesterday’s tennis didn’t go the way I had hoped, being a Rafa fan it was hard to see him go out. I shall probably watch the final today but don’t care who wins.

I’m about to get up and do my aerobics on line which I find makes me feel a lot better physically and mentally. It’s so easy to let things drag us down in these frustrating times, but I am trying to keep as cheerful as possible.

We will go out for the 2 minutes Silence at 11 and at least wave to the neighbours. We will then video call DD2 and her girls on WhatsApp and possibly talk to DSIL if he stands still long enough.

Our local NT gardens and take away cafe still open so will visit today, but will stop at 11.00 to pay our respects to those no longer with us.

Yes I too miss real live theatre and especially our great local amateur theatre.

Having lasagne tonight and some rather nice red wine from one of the M and S deals.

Hope your day goes well, especially those like our dear Marydoll who is not in the best of health. ?

It seems to be fairly mild outside today. We watched the the Remembrance Service last night, it seemed extra poignant without an audience.

No plans for today, roast beef and all the trimmings later.

Good morning from a misty Essex by the sea where the bright orange ball of sun is rising over the tree tops.
We had a lovely walk yesterday morning and sat drinking our coffee overlooking the estuary.
No plans today apart from watching the service from the Cenotaph.
Roast chicken and apple crumble later.

Morning Mick, morning All. It’s grey in our corner of Somerset, looks damp although not raining. A quiet, gentle day for us. We will pay our respects at 11am, perhaps a short walk along the river afterwards. Our Christmas cake to bake later before a roast takes over the oven. Take care everyone. Special thoughts for those carrying pain and sadness.

I'm either up very early or very late; I can't seem to manage a reasonable time.
I'm another one missing my regular theatre trips. We had tickets for the Lowry to see Malory Towers, amongst others, goodness knows when we will see that now.
Casserole to make for later.
Facetime last night with the family. Son mentioned a toy that had sold out over there that the boys had seen and would have liked, but I found it and ordered it while we were speaking. Just the five parcels to post now. I weigh and measure them, then print out the postage and labels from the Royal Mail site. They still have to be taken to the Post Office but it saves time there.
Lovely pictures of your church Ashcombe. My grandad was the first person to lay a wreath on the Cenotaph in his hometown. He led the Remembrace Day parade from the first one in 1921 until 1977 when he handed over his 'ceremonial stick' to a younger person. We used to go and watch the parade with enormous pride.
Hope Marydoll is feeling better today after a rest and doesn't overdo it today.

Every day I read the good morning messages as I'm heading into evening in Sydney. It's been a lovely day here after the coldest November day for many years last Thursday. We have our Remembrance Day on 11 November, and 2 mins silence at 11am. Have a great day everyone.

Bad night last night with fireworks, not that there were all that many but they went on for a long time albeit in the distance, including half way round our bedtime walkie at 11 (when I thought we might have been safe) One scared dog but she is fine this morning. I do hope that is the end of them.
Series 2 of As Time Goes By today I think, in homage to the lovely Geoffrey Palmer. Box sets come into their own these days don’t they?

Good morning everyone from Malaga ?

Today the national government’s night time curfew (11pm till 6am) ends and its left to each of Spain’s devolved regions to decide what to do locally. Andalusia is a huge area covering many autonomous regions. The figures are very high in the Granada region with over 1,100 cases per 100,000 people (twice he level of Manchester) yet here in Malaga region we have 262 cases per 100,000. We shall have to wait and see what the regional president, Juanma Moreno decided in parliament on Thursday when he makes an announcement later today. One of our bar owners thinks curfew will be from 3pm until 6am. No one allowed on the streets - even for exercise. If that happens I’m going to ask Himself to bring our flights forward - no point in staying. We shall see.

Good morning from a murky Derbyshire. The sun doesn't look like putting in an appearance today.

Mick I too miss trips out at this time of year, especially to the Christmas markets. The nicest one we've been to so far was in Portsmouth around the harbour. The most disappointing was the one in York as it was so busy we couldn't get near any of the stalls. It would have been lovely otherwise.

Another weekend of gardening for us. Yesterday at home and today at the veg garden.

I hope grandmaFrench and Marydoll are feeling better today and Sunday is a good day for all.

We will be watching the ceremony from the Cenotaph this morning. We usually join the crowd in our garrison town and watch London in the afternoon but this year is different. Remembrance has even more meaning as our DS joined the forces in the Summer.

We have used the Royal Mail collection service and it's great.

Good morning all. Another lovely day in store here on the Suffolk coast. We usually go to a memorial outdoor service just up the coast from here. We’ll go along anyway and Lay our poppies for Remembrance Day. Extra poignant this year. ?. Your church looks beautiful Ashcombe.

I visited my elderly SIL yesterday and took her in a bit of shopping. Had a cuppa with her as she’s poorly and very down. I’m quite concerned about her as she will accept no help. Oh dear!

We had a lot of police activity here on the beach yesterday . Lots of running back and forth and sirens sounding. Haven’t found out what is was all about yet. ?

Grandmafrench I hope you are feeling better and your rest has paid off. It’s not like you to be incapacitated. ?

I couldn’t put the book down harrigan! Finished it yesterday. The author died in 1984 and he wrote ‘The Hustler’ about USA pool playing which was made into a film with Paul Newman - and ‘The Colour of Money’ with an older Paul Newman up against the younger Tom Cruise.

Morning everyone from a damp south Cornwall. Thank you again for the kind welcomes back yesterday. Had quiet fun with my 5 year old granddaughter and then her 3 year old brother joined us. It went noisily and messily downhill from then. Exhausting but good exercise for me!

Quiet reflection on Remembrance Day, always makes me sad though I've lost no-one to war. All those young lives...

Weighing Christmas cake ingredients today and soaking fruit to make it tomorrow. This is a ridiculously big deal for me. I never bake. Give me wood and concrete and a workroom and I'm in my element, but kitchen stuff, I've always been inept.... And now I am realising I have no electric mixer so it'll be plenty of elbow grease tomorrow.

Good morning All. It's cloudy again in Polmont. I opened a bottle of fizz last night to celebrate USA making a good decision. I should know better as one glass affects my sleep. So I'm tired this morning. In a little while I'm going to drive to my friend's house to deliver her birthday present and we'll speak outside. We decided a few years back that we didn't need stuff so I'll take her flowers, fizz and chocolate and we'll go for lunch at some point. The rest of the day I intend to potter. I must bake for dgs tomorrow. I'm going to be watching him all week as his other gran and grandad have to quarantine. Someone at his gran's work has tested positive and was going into work with symptoms. Needless to say, his other gran isn't happy. So I will be tired by Friday! I'm having a very Scottish dinner tonight. Haggis, mashed potatoes and mashed swede yum. I might make pineapple upside down cake too, which isn't Scottish but I enjoy. I hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Just put the slow cooker on for BBQ pulled pork this evening.

Will probably have a short walk and then drive over ( 20 mins.) to check up on MIL. We will take a flask of coffee and have a chat from the driveway.
