I am really losing it!

I’ve suspected for a while but today has confirmed it! I don’t get up early but I suddenly woke up this morning, in a rush, and remembered that I had an appointment at the GP’s for a pneumonia jab so jumped up, got washed and dressed, made up and ready to go. Then I remembered I had also to go to someone’s house to pick up something so, forgoing breakfast, put my boots on and headed out of the door.

Just then my H asked where I was going and pointed out all those things were arranged for Saturday and today was Friday! Duh! I feel as if I’ve got an extra day, but I’ve wasted a lot of it on the phone to Lakeland unfortunately.

I always have to take a few minutes when I wake up to work out which day it is and what I'm supposed to be doing. So far I seem to have got it right, but there's always a first time!

So if you're losing it I doubt you're on your own!

You're not on your own. I was in a slit second state of confusion this morning after being wakened by the postman knocking and me thinking I was late for work. What work ? I've been retired for 13/14 years grin Oh dear.

The day didn’t improve. I started off thinking I’d got a whole day extra and spent a lot of it on GN and Facebook. What a waste, I’ll do better tomorrow - which is what I always think!

You certainly aren’t alone Lucky. I arranged for the sweep/chimney expert to visit to advise me on whether my chimney could accommodate a woodburner. I had to wait a long 3 weeks and today was the day. So, what did I do this afternoon? Went for a walk..... completely forgot he was coming between 2& 3. Now have to wait for a second appointment to be arranged. Was I mad with myself ?. As for knowing which day it is, I have to look at my phone each morning for confirmation ?
