Lockdown Looks

I am currently sporting a mint green shortie nightie from M&S and a huge ‘old lady’ style navy plush dressing gown, also from M&S. The look is finished off by some fluffy pink and grey house socks from Weird Fish. I feel the socks add pastel accents.

Hit me with your lockdown fashions ladies (and any gents if there are any around).

Oh no Kim my son-in-law wouldn't notice. It's just for my own self esteem not to go to the door looking like a rag bag.

Kim19 Mon 07-Dec-20 12:45:37

Kate, I'm impressed and a little envious. Don't think either of my sons would notice what I was wearing!! Maybe I overdid 'smart' when they were young because they've both moved into thoroughly casual(!!)

Kate1949 Mon 07-Dec-20 10:57:56

I'm usually in baggy trousers and a baggy jumper. I've made a bit of an effort today. Decent trousers and a nicer jumper as our son-in-law may be coming to drop some stuff off (from a distance). I don't want him reporting back to our daughter that her mum has turned into a bag lady.

Currently leggings and a comfy t-shirt, as I’ve just finished a YouTube work-out. Once Pop Master’s finished and I’m showered I’ll be changing into clean leggings and a comfy jumper. Whichever ones are at the top of the pile.

Stripy pyjama bottoms, navy T-shirt, Big olive green Guernsey sweater, and bare feet. I have reindeer slippers from last Christmas to go to if my feet get too chilly.
I will shower and get dressed in a mo into navy Landsend starfish trousers (which I love and have several pairs of), an East patterned sweater that has 'shrunk' but I can still wear it, and bare feet.

Gym wear for me, I have a personal training session then a Callanetics class. Depending on whether or not I can move afterwards it will be skinny grey jeans (Top Shop) and a pale pink and grey longline sweater (The White Company) always wear fragrance, earrings and moisturiser.

I am trying to make more of an effort as I was beginning to morph into sloppy Gran!! (Still a winning day if I am dressed and showered before 11am on the days where I have nothing in the diary?)

Still in my M&S red dressing gown with white spots, PJ's and slippers. Once i get out of the shower it will be navy joggers (so warm and cosy) and a navy and white top, wool socks and slippers. Oh yes and my thermal vest.

I have decided that despite nowhere to go, my clothes need wearing and not to be left in the wardrobe so I am making a point of something different every day! I have given in to the comfort of stretchy cord trousers though blush or my comfiest “boyfriend” jeans and a variety of big knits.

Faded black jeans, very old grey t shirt, with swimming costume underneath. Just off to the pool. Same jeans, brighter top and oversized snuggly grey cardigan when I get home.

Just got up so I am in my navy pj top and brushed cotton pj bottoms with butterflies on - huge purple fleecy dressing gown and navy slippers. Heating has just come on so till place heats up I have a fleece blanket on my lap.
During the day I wear what I'd wear in normal times as I always dress comfortably. Grey tunic type jumper with a tucked in vest underneath - black thick leggings - socks and slippers/boots when I go out to take my dog and my 18 month old grandson (with Mr R) to park smile

As it's only 6.30 in the morning, I'm still in my white cotton nightie and slightly grubby white towelling dressing gown.
I'm sporting a tousled, just got out of bed hairdo and wearing my new grey and silver, sparkly slippers from Sainsbury's.

Weather permitting, a day of gardening awaits me today so I shall be wearing old jeans, polo shirt and jumper topped off with my tatty fleece gardening jacket.

Its hot as here in australia today so i am sitting in my air conditioned home office in bra knickers and a short kaftan

Just got rid of a sling (broken humerus) and have today managed to hoist my poorly arm up high enough to put my contact lenses in for the first time in 7 weeks, hurrah! In celebration I have also applied some very wonky eye and lip liner, mascara and lipstick, and feel almost human again. I've worn a selection of lovely leggings for all this time, and four oversized jumpers in rotation (easy to drag over the head). My hair looks, correctly, as though it has been "styled" by my non-dominant hand. When I go out I can now wear a proper coat instead of the poncho I've sported for every recent outing. I still can't put my own woolly hat on though, so it perches at whatever rakish angle DH shoves it on at. Today it was covering my eyebrows. I'm a work in progress.

Just going upstairs for bath, then pjs,and hoodie top,and fleece lined slipper socks, spend most days in slim fit jogging bottoms and regatta fleece tops (have assorted colours),...if we occasionally go out I do put on jeans and a bit of makeup

Callistemon Sun 06-Dec-20 19:45:28

It depends what you wore for the job!

HannahLoisLuke Sun 06-Dec-20 18:36:08

I’m retired so don’t have to dress for a job. However, I still have to shower, make up and dress even in lockdown.
I only dress casually though, jeans, thickish bamboo top with a big cardigan on top, just socks on my feet. Never wear shoes indoors and slippers too hot.

glammanana Sun 06-Dec-20 17:49:38

At the moment I am always in pjs with a t-shirt and either a fleecy jacket or a hoodie,I have loads of pj bottoms and lots of t-shirts so change them every day I don't expect any callers and at least if I have any deliveries I look somewhat presentable.
Make up is done everyday and my hair put up in a messy bun before I do anything else.
Mind you even when I was working as soon as I had parked my car I was in the house changing into PJs before I had my evening meal.

dragonfly46 Sun 06-Dec-20 17:25:26

Grey tweedy joggers, bright pink jumper and fleece slippers. I have done my makeup though as I like to do my best - it makes me feel better.

SueDonim Sun 06-Dec-20 17:18:42

Jeans and a mustard colour woolly jumper for me today. I’ve been putting up my outside lights and didn’t fancy doing that in pj’s - it might frighten the horses.

threexnanny Sun 06-Dec-20 16:44:22

I try and dress tidily even if going nowhere because if I feel I look a mess it adds to the gloom of the current situation for me. I've read on other threads that some of us are dressing -up to cheer themselves up. I haven't tried that yet.

GrammaH Sun 06-Dec-20 16:14:35

I've been wearing an old pink towelling dressing gown since I got up at 9am. I was intending to get dressed but DH has a migraine & is sleeping it off in bed so I don't want to disturb him. It doesn't matter one jot what I'm wearing as nobody is likely to call and I'm nice & cosy by the logburner.

CBBL Sun 06-Dec-20 15:45:38

I'm having a "can't be bothered" day, and am still wearing the jog suit I put on each morning before taking a shower (plus slippers). I'll change tomorrow, as we have to get groceries.

polnan Sun 06-Dec-20 15:30:53
