Mine is the one for Amazon with the young girl as a ballerina dancing in the street with her brother shining a light on her like a spotlight. Its beautiful (smile)

Kevin the carrot!

Tesco
I particularly like the rather angry mum who didn't teach her kids physics and chemistry
'Or geography!'

And the Captain Tom joke.
In fact, it might be my favourite Christmas ad ever! tchgrin

I like the above mentioned as well as the co op’s showing two boys entertaining others in a shopping area, especially when they refuse some money which is offered.

Kim19 Thu 10-Dec-20 07:15:36

Co-op one ticks my boxes too, M. Don't know if I've seen Tesco.

Another vote for the Amazon ballerina, just wish we could see more of her dancing.

Kevin the carrot ???

The Forever Young MacDonald's one with the grumpy boy who keeps his excitement inside (visible to us on his tummy).
The song has been my earworm for the last few weeks.

fevertree Thu 10-Dec-20 07:46:28

Shysal that is a lovely ad, it apparently is called "Inner Child".

All the Christmas ads make my 6 year old grandson tear up this year! We are not sure why but can only think he has picked up that this year is different. There is one that finishes him off, I think it is the JL one. Bless him.

My favourite too is the Co-op one, those sweet little boys playing Oasis.

I like them all actually and struggle to find a favourite. All the more poignant for a Covid Christmas I think.
Happy Christmas GNetters!

DanniRae Thu 10-Dec-20 08:36:36

Thanks PollyDolly.........And a Happy Christmas to you and all GNetters too tchgrin

I like the Tesco Christmas ad - I think it's a really clever idea. So well done to whoever came up with it.

Sarnia Thu 10-Dec-20 08:53:39

I haven't seen them all but as a Wallace & Gromit fan I like the DFS ad.

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 10-Dec-20 09:00:00

Sorry to sound like a grinch, but I try not to watch adverts. I despise them with a passion. If a programme looks interesting on a commercial channel, I record it so when I get round to watching it I can fast forward the adverts.

pensionpat Thu 10-Dec-20 09:06:48

We don’t watch any adverts here either. There’s no need with the help of technology.

Maggiemaybe Thu 10-Dec-20 09:09:16

I’m the same for most of the year, Ladyleftfieldlover, but I make an exception for the time the Christmas adverts are on. The Inner Child gets my vote this year.

Auntieflo Thu 10-Dec-20 09:09:33

I haven't seen any of those, but the one I have seen and like (not sure if it is even a Christmas ad), is the one with the very expressive boxer dog, when popcorn is being handed round.

pollyperkins Thu 10-Dec-20 09:12:14

I like the tesco one too. Funny (&relevant) rather than sentimental.

Mapleleaf Thu 10-Dec-20 09:18:04

I’m not impressed with any of this years Christmas ads to be honest - far too syrupy and sickly for me. In fact some are just cringeworthy.

I love this one as well, it's so beautifully done.

annodomini Thu 10-Dec-20 09:44:54

My favourite of all time is the one with young animals bouncing on the new trampoline and the family boxer dashing out first thing in the morning to take his turn. Boxers are such bouncy dogs and I've always loved them since we had our beauty in my teens.

Kate1949 Thu 10-Dec-20 09:55:34

I like the Co-op one too although the last couple of times it's been on they have cut bits out for some reason.

Mapleleaf Thu 10-Dec-20 20:19:11

I'll revise what I've said as I've just seen the TK Max advert with the goat wearing designer gear. It brought a smile to my face and was definitely not syrupy, sickly or cringeworthy, but I still maintain that most of them are! ?
