Plenty of humour here but maybe you've not caught up with modern jokes?

A joke for you Rufus. " an apple a day keeps the doctor away" is one of granny's myths. Yes ......groan ...

Hi Rufus, see the atrocious weather up East and amazed at your temperature drop. We watched a program about Poundland last night, watching their inspections by head office and the report of a secret shopper. It was interesting to see the other side of the shop workings.
Looks like all of Britain (England and the devolved) will be having a little ‘chat’ about the proposed leeway over 5 days at Christmas. I can sense a U turn looming, quite rightly in my opinion, but we’ll see, rock and hard place.
Sun beginning to set here at 15:30, but next Monday the longest day and on the up.
Take care ?

Good Evening Chewsday;
Thanks Megs; it’s nice to know that humour still exists, especially in your (UK) trying times. Tier 3 looks pretty drastic, but long overdue I would think.
Have you ever had the chance, pre-Covid of course, to visit your rellies in NZ?
Many TV Celebs were visitors and the scenery is something else.
Vera made several visits as part of her “Job” as a Floral Art Judge being invited by the NZ Floral Art Society to judge various Garden Shows.
All I’ve seen are views from rail tours on TV. but very spectacular for all that.

We don’t seem to have any Covid problems just now, but coastal areas of NSW and Queensland have been battered relentlessly by torrential rain, gales and king tides for several days. Not the sort of holiday destinations we had in mind before border controls were lifted.
Our weather changed quietly this afternoon from 37C to almost half that in less than half an hour. I’m always surprised it can do that without a sound and light display!
Not even a drop of rain.
Interesting doco. on TV this evening about the history of Aldi and its growth in the UK. Always been my favourite grocery store and its specials “central” isle.
Started off in Germany in 1913, but I must have another look at my recording to catch up with all the statistics. We have Aldi stores all over and always busy, although I can’t confirm that right now.
There was reference to an Aldi competitor called “Jacks, but I missed who owned it.

BlueSky Not being blonde spares you all those “dumb blonde” jokes!.
Megs reckons I’m brave, but as they say “Faint heart never won Fair Lady” tchhmm

It’s just turned the witching hour so it looks like being an early night.
