Hi all,
I posted about my Auntie having a fall awhile ago and being admitted to hospital. She was in hospital for about a week and a half, before spending a few days in the healthcare facility in her sheltered housing complex, after which she returned home.
It transpired that she came out of the shower (or went in- we're not clear on that) and had a dizzy spell due to a UTI, falling back and hitting her head on the lavatory pan. She is now doing well and looking forward to Christmas. X

I mean she had a dizzy spell due to the UTI giving her a fever. It could have been a lot worse as she's 95. X

Pleased your auntie is back home for Christmas FH! Yes UTI can give older people some serious symptoms.

Why did you quote from the post directly above yours fh? It would surely have been self-explanatory just to say ‘thanks Vicky’? Also it makes threads over long because of blocks of repetition. It’s a great tool if it’s a quote from a post much further up thread but unnecessary as routine in my opinion.

Hello, fh28 (*Flyinghandbag*?) - see you've had a name change but yes, I remember.

So glad Auntie is doing well
UTIs can have strange side effects, including confusion.

Thanks. It was awful, but she's as fit as ever now, thankfully. X
