Hello Everyonesmile

You may or may not recall that a couple of weeks ago I had a rather unsuccessful and misunderstood bash at starting a Celebration Thread.

Well, that went t*ts up.
But you can't keep a good woman down, so I'm at it again.
This time it is far more straightforward.

The rules are as follows:
Are you celebrating anything today?
Your birthday? Anniversary?
Ddog's birthday? Getting your flu jab?
Seeing the GC after a long while?
Having the boiler fixed?

Let us know!
(NB this is not compulsory)
What are you up to and how are you marking it?

Have a lovely day! thanks x

Yes - celebrating getting the boiler mended! We froze over the weekend with no heat and no hot water - the immersion had packed up as well. Plenty of electric fires, but they're expensive and less efficient.

So.... as soon as the water heats up I'm off for a shower and much-needed ha1rwash.

Congratulations Septimia!
Enjoy your much anticipated shower.

Celebrating my new joggers from CT do fit me without ordering a bigger size! I ordered 2 pairs to save on postage and then panicked. I’ve tried hard during lockdown but I was sure no gym would make a difference.

Congratulations Molly!
(I've just worked out what CT is!)
I've just discovered what they call 'lounge dresses' at M&S.
They're amazing! Like a cross between a long night dress and a hoodie. And they have pockets! smile Bit of jewellery and nice trainers and Bob's your uncle.

I'm celebrating getting a few items ticked off my January list:
- dental hygienist appt last week (ouch!)
- mammogram done today ( double ouch!)
- front closet jackets tried on; 3 went towards donation.

Oh well done CG, especially the first two.

I'm celebrating finally going to dentist (*CanadianGran*, I'm here with you about ouch!) and getting my laptop fixed. Couldn't wait to get back to photoworks and learning photo montage, but it took them about a week and a half to fix all the problems.

Nothing exciting for me today

But for the last half hour I've been stuck with the ear worm of the Kool and the Gang song.
