Good morning all from a cold Glasgow. Don't trust Alexa! She says we have snow, but we haven't!!!! Kalu do have our share up at yours?
Iv'e had a particularly bad night, so feeling a bit grim. I have a Zoom lesson with Dollie, but mum will be there to support, as she finished her job yesterday.
I bring some good news for a change.
I had a phone call from the hospital yesterday to say that my new RA consultant had reviewed my notes and decided the risks of not having the vaccine outweighed the risks of having it. It seems that my recent heart attack has pushed medeeper into that abyss of being extremely, clinically vulnerable. So I am to have it!!!!?????
Ten minutes later, my phone pinged with a message from the Scottish Govt shielding service to say that as a shielder I would be having my vaccination by the middle of Feb at the latest. How quickly things can turn around.
Gaga, sorry to hear about your daughter, but glad to hear there is a slight improvement for your son in law.
Beauregard, you have reminded me that I have a tin of Jus Roll pre baked croissants in the fridge. I have never tried them before, but thought they might do in an emergency.
Borrheid, you asked why DH wasn't golfing. Its winter greens and DH cannot source winter wheels for his type of golf trolley anywhere, so no golf, I'm afraid. We have one very unhappy golfer!!!
I cannot believe how fortunate I am. A friend phoned yesterday to tell me that my acquaintance who was admitted to the same hospital as me, on the same day as me, has contracted Covid in hospital and is now very ill. The other acquaintance who was admitted at the same time died in hospital, also from Covid.
Life is so fragile just now. Carpe diem, should be our mantra! Their poor families.
Wishing everyone the gentlest of days.
