Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark ,and looks cold and frosty outside this morning here in Brackley .
Having returned from 8 days in Hospital , which started with a mini heart attack , heart rate 191 , I was rushed to the banbury Horton Hospital , where I have undergone various, blood tests etc , with slight changes in medication due to condition , The Hospital was not one of the most enjoyable places to be thanks to Covid , but the NHS ticks on regardless .
I did get tested 3 times whilst there all negative .
Have returned a mail backlog both online and normal post , have to arrange my jab as well .
Take Care ,
Mick

Glad to hear you are back, and I hope your recovery goes well. Thank goodness for modern medicine and all the wonderful health care workers. My DH had a bypass done 5 years ago and is doing very well, but recovery took some time.

Still 10:-- pm here; working a slow night shift. Our weather has turned from damp to frozen, so slippery out!

Baggs Fri 05-Feb-21 06:25:16

Glad you’re back home, Michael, and that you were well looked after in hospital. Although I don’t post much in the good morning thread I do look at it quite often and I noticed you were gone and hoped you were okay.

Bellasnana Fri 05-Feb-21 06:29:13

Good morning Mick, I’m another who reads often but posts only occasionally, good to see that you are back where you belong and wising you a full recovery.

NanKate Fri 05-Feb-21 06:47:54

Good morning Mick and excellent news that you are safely back home.

Also many thanks to grandMattie who did a great job keeping this lovely thread going during Mick’s absence. ?

Off at last first thing this morning for my jab at the local football Stadium. I will run round the pitch afterwards in a joyous manner ?‍♀️

Pantglas2 Fri 05-Feb-21 06:48:58

Oh Mick how lovely to finally wish you a good morning from north Wales- you were missed x

Now where’s GrandMattie? Come and have a ☕️ while I’ve got kettle on!

A funeral stand by for a neighbour today - she’d been ill for some time and haven’t heard if COVID is involved then another on Monday for another ex neighbour where the cortège will pass our street - sad times ?

Hope everyone has a good day even if it’s only weather wise ☀️

Good to see you back Mick and sorry to hear of your health worries.

Take care.

grandMattie Fri 05-Feb-21 06:59:33

Good morning from an overcast E Kent.
I’m here, Pant, just didn’t rush knowing that our dear Mick was back. Welcome back, BTW. Sorry to hear about health issues and hope the reeked medication helps.
Not feeling 100% probs due to my sh*t, didn’t sleep that well.
Bedding to wash today, oh joy! Nothin on otherwise.
I hope that all those who are absent are ok, that the sorrowful, those in pain or distress have a gentle day. Stay safe. X

NotAGran55 Fri 05-Feb-21 07:01:53

I’m so pleased to see you back Mick . Take good care of yourself now , watch out for any ‘odd’ symptoms and get straight on to your GP or 111.
I nagged at you last year as I recognised your symptoms from my dear dad and will continue to do so out of concern!

kittylester Fri 05-Feb-21 07:02:14

Good morning all and a huge welcome back from me Mick. Lovely to see you and, you are right, the nhs continues to be brilliant.

The weather in North Leicestershire seems calm though it did rain over night!

The new roofmen arrived at 8.00 yesterday with no warning. It appears the email warning us went into DH's junk file. They were lovely and are helping us collect evidence of the mistakes made by the previous ones.

Sending best wishes to everyone.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is still dark and wet.
Michael. Welcome back, I am sure you can read just how much you were missed. We all hope you are feeling better and on the road to recovery.
Work this morning and then a weekend of lazing about gor me I think.
DD called yesterday to tell me her and DSiL were decorating DGS bedroom and DSiL is talking sh&t and knows nothing about decorating, he wants to put masking tape over the window frames and woodwork??. Oh dear, I think I have taught her the speedy way to decorate, I didn’t get the nick name ‘Bodge the builder’ for nothing???. I listened carefully and kept out of that one!
Have a good day everyone and stay safe.❤️

Gagagran Fri 05-Feb-21 07:16:26

Morning all and a warm welcome back to Mick. You have really been missed and we were all worrying about you!

Maybe your funny "turns" recently were a warning that your heart was a bit awry? Anyway, the NHS has done its stuff and hopefully you will make a full recovery ready for spring and summer.

8.6c this morning here on the south coast but there appears to be some of the white stuff on the forecast for Sunday. OH NO! We moved from the Pennines to get away from that! It won't last long here though so no panic stations.

DH is having a cycle ride with his friend this morning which always puts a smile on his face and makes me relieved that he isn't out alone. When he was so ill last summer he thought his cycling days were over for ever so every trip out is a bonus.

Our youngest DGD is 16 today and could never be described as "sweet 16" but is a very dear and very loved girl with such determination that she will, for sure, make her mark on the world.

Hope today is a good one and brings better things for all those who need them.

Keep safe. sunshine

Good morning all. It's currently dry here in Derbyshire...for now.

Welcome back Mick and thanks to grandMattie for deputising.

Hope everyone is feeling well and has a good day.

cornergran Fri 05-Feb-21 07:33:48

Morning Mick, morning All. Dark and damp in our corner of Somerset. Relieved you’re back and well Mick. Take care now.

A head full of concerns has kept me away for a while, began to read again yesterday. Good news about the new roofers kitty, your decorating style made me smile Scentia. A very happy birthday to your granddaughter gagagran.

Routine day ahead, finish the filing I began yesterday, organise some fish and chips help Mr C finish (please!) his latest jigsaw, a walk if the weather lets us. Look after yourselves everyone.

Ashcombe Fri 05-Feb-21 07:37:37

Good morning from a clear and chilly Torbay.

It’s wonderful to welcome you back, Mick and what a joy to see so many folk on here this morning who aren’t regular contributors but followers, nevertheless. I hope you continue to recover well at home. That might involve some adjustments to your medication and I'm sure your GP will support you.

I’m late this morning as I couldn’t settle last night. It must have been the excitement of going out twice yesterday (!) as I had a blood test and dental appointment. Eventually, I decided I felt hungry and a mashed banana did the trick!

NanKate: photos of your joyful jogging, please! Hope you soon feel well, grandMattie and thinking of how sad life is currently as we can’t attend funerals, Pantglass.

Wishing everyone an easement of pain and worries and a fabulous Friday! ?

Dwmxwg Fri 05-Feb-21 07:37:54

Good morning all, so glad to see you back Mick and on the mend.
Welcome grantilly to this lovely thread.
I am still not feeling great so will try to get an appointment to speak to dr or nurse today, think I may need some antibiotics, definitely need a good nights sleep!
The boys have been stars again this morning and are up breakfasted and dressed under their own steam, and teeth cleaned, which is the usual battle I have.
Have a good day all

Sheepandcattle Fri 05-Feb-21 07:50:34

Good morning all and sorry to hear you’ve been poorly Mick. It’s good to see you back but do look after yourself.
A sad start to the day on the farm - I got up in the early hours to check the cctv camera we have on the calving shed to see a cow struggling with calving. We threw on some clothes and rushed down but by the time we got there, the calf had sadly not made it. These are the worst farming days. There’s a horrible feeling of ‘if onlys’ ......... if only I’d woken a hour earlier ...... if only the cow had started calving later.... if only ....?. There’s a saying in farming ‘where you have livestock you have dead stock’ but it still feels like you’ve failed them when things go wrong. Had the twin calves that were born a few days ago been a bit younger, I would have tried adopting one onto the calf-less cow but they are too bonded to their mum now so instead I shall have to see if the dairy farmer next door has a new calf we can adopt onto her. She’s full of milk and looking for her calf - so sad.
Onwards and upwards - there are too many other expectant mums to be on the farm needing looking after so can’t dwell, but I do feel wretched.
Wishing you all a good day. marydoll- I think it’s today that your friends baby is being delivered? Hoping all goes well and that baby arrives safely

Good morning from a brightening Colchester.
Happy to see you back where you belong Mick
DH has gone fishing and I have an exciting trip to Lidl.
DD2 is moving house today and we are sad that we are not able to help by taking DGS2 off their hands. They will be fine if frazzled by tonight.
Chinese takeaway tonight.
