Clumsy is my middle name, mainly down to me having Fibromyalgia. Dropping, knocking and spilling things are part of my daily routine.
I've had to adjust over the years to make things easier for myself. For example I now have a trolley to put things on which I just push through into the living room. This at least stops me from dropping liquids on the carpet.
Cold drinks are now only drank out of plastic cups with lids (far to many broken glasses). Hot drinks are still consumed in normal mugs but are always left to cool for 10/15 minutes before I even attempt to lift it. That way there's no risk of burns if I drop it on myself. I have used thermos mugs in the past but they just make any hot drink taste c**p. Tea should always be drunk from a proper mug in my opinion.
I stay away from anything valuable. All electronic gadgets are safely protected by hard cases. My house is now completely carpeted, aside from the kitchen and bathroom. I also have multiple stain proof chair/sofa covers that I can quickly swap over if I have any spillages while sitting. I've banned all food and drink from the bedroom as well (2 year old mattress I don't want to ruin).
The list goes on.
I've had Fibro for 20 years now and have learnt to accept the pain. When I have accidents, instead of being annoyed I just laugh. It's the only way to get me through the day. I'm 55 now and still loving life (well I will be when Covid buggers off)
Still to make me feel less alone with this. Tell me something clumsy that you've done recently.

Adult early 30's - very difficult.
Not sure how to react anymore, am I in the wrong?
