Tons I should think I went from being a Nursing Officer to a Head of Nursing Services to a Service Manager...same kind of job different title but subtley eroding the professional status.

Many years ago now, when I was producing children and running a home, I used to give my occupation as domestic executive director.

I'm not your little woman, your darling or your dear
I'm a wage slave without wages, I'm a maintenance engineer.

We sang that when I was a teenager.

Anyone remember who wrote it? I'm thinking Malvina Reynolds, or maybe Peggy Seeger?

I was the secretary at a small village primary school. I used to describe myself as 'educational administrator' or 'the old dragon in the office' depending on my mood.
