Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight already here in Brackley this morning, but remains dry as well.
Today , await morning call ,and then do a small shop locally .
Been having thoughts on distance travel in the future .
Dreams of getting bus other than official appointments, to go and have a coffee and socialised and reunite with people I have not seen for ages.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick and all who follow from a dry north Wales where I’m up with sparrowfart for no good reason ?

Will pop in later when the full shift clocks on.......?

Bellasnana Mon 08-Mar-21 06:21:15

Good morning Mick and all your followers. It’s another dry day forecast, apparently we have had no rain for over a month which is unusual for this time of year.

I’m off to the nail salon this morning so will enjoy having a chat with my the lovely young lady who does my nails.
Like Mick I do find being restricted quite lonely at times.

Not much else on the cards although I need to put away the large pile of ironing I did yesterday,

Thinking of you all and wishing you as good a day as possible.☀️

Ashcombe Mon 08-Mar-21 06:23:52

Good morning, Mick and all who follow from a dry and increasingly light Torbay.

Yes, Mick, I too look forward to being able to do normal things again. We just have to hold out a little longer.

Yesterday, as I left the church I fell into conversation with a young man who had been in the congregation. When I commented on the cold morning and his lack of a coat, he told me he didn’t notice as he'd been homeless in the past so was used to it. I was pleased to learn that he does have somewhere to live now.

I hope everyone has a good week, with an easing of pain of any kind and warmer days to lift our spirits. ?

Good morning from a dry, grey E Kent. The forecast is for a chilly, grey day.
Back to school today. We have a secondary school at the end of our road. The air will be full of excited, chatty, bright kids. First day back in September X 20, I think. I love to watch them go past the house.
Monday = cleaning! Nothing else today.
I hope today brings relief to the anxious, sad, in pain and downright cheesed off. May you find a random flamingo in the Lego of your lives. ????? ❤️?☀️

Oh, and it’s World Women’s Day today.
DH complained that men didn’t have a “day”!

He has a point.....after all, even dogs have one, if the saying is to be believed....”every dog has his day”! ???

Kalu Mon 08-Mar-21 06:35:56

Good morning Mick and all to follow. Still dark outside but the cat has just come back in with a slightly wet coat so I am assuming rain is our forecast in Glasgow.

Another day dawns and the usual routine of no plans, just going along with whatever the day unfolds. DH and I have passed our three weeks post vaccine but we are not in any rush to get out more just yet. The only thing I am hankering after is to have DD1 and our two GDs allowed garden visits. As we are in different LAs, no meeting up outside is on the cards yet.

As it seems I won’t be gardening today I suppose I should perhaps think about doing some housework. Oh joy!?

Hope everyone has a pleasant day whatever helps you to achieve it.

Dwmxwg Mon 08-Mar-21 06:38:00

Good morning from a cold and frosty morning here in north Surrey.
Spent most of yesterday on my sofa feeling pretty yuck after 2nd vaccination so hoping today will be better, I have certainly slept well.
GrandMattie we have a primary school round the corner, will be good to hear the children playing at break times. I spoke to my DGSs yesterday about the return to school of their friends, reminding them it might be a bit scary to come back after all this time, to be extra kind today.
No plans today but have lots we can do if I am feeling better once I get out of my bed.
Wishing all a good day, will pop back in later for a read.

Good Morning all from Severnside where it is dry and very light.

I have a plan to go to a diy store today and believe it or not I don’t feel like getting ready to go. I can’t very well go in my nightie ?so will have to shift myself.

As you are all saying it will be lovely to see the children go past on their way to school once again. I know the girl next door can’t wait.

Take care and enjoy the day as best you can ?

cornergran Mon 08-Mar-21 07:03:04

Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, bright corner of Somerset. No frost this morning which is excellent as I’ve an early trip out for a knee injection. A blood test later for Mr C and a new fence being installed makes it a busier day than many.

Take care everyone, hope Monday is kind to us all.

Jaxjacky Mon 08-Mar-21 07:06:56

Good morning all from a frosty S Hants. GrandMattie I too will be watching the children passing on their way to school this morning. Mick we too want to venture further, not far, just out of our area and to have the family visit, even in the garden; soon ?
No real plans today, DH is off to work, hence the early up, I start my voluntary phone work later today and should go and put my onions in the allotment. I too will nip backer later to read other posts. Have a gentle day all.

And my dear old mum used to laugh and say ‘and every bitch has 2 half-days’.

Morning Mick and all

It’s grey and chilly here in S E Essex.

I have a dentist appointment this morning then I will go to the Farm Shop.
Hope all the children returning to school today are excited and have a good day, those that are nervous I hope it goes well.

Happy International Women’s Day

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️

Good morning all. Damp in Polmont this morning. I'm up early to resume babysitting duties. I have no idea what the day will bring. I'll be led by the caprices of dgs. Pancakes for breakfast, soup for lunch and chicken fajitas for tea is the order of the day. My son in law wants some of the cookies I made yesterday so I'd better remember them. Have a good day all.

Sar53 Mon 08-Mar-21 07:17:15

Good morning everyone from Essex by the sea where it is grey, miserable and cold.
Gloss coat for the en suite paintwork today then new tiles for the floor.
5 and 9 year old granddaughters are back to school today, the two 12 year olds have to go in for lateral flow tests then start school, one tomorrow and one on Wednesday. Let's hope all children have a good, happy day seeing their friends again.
I started shredding old papers yesterday that I wouldn't want anyone to read when I'm not here anymore. It's quite therapeutic getting rid of bits of the past you would like to forget.
On that note I wish you all a happy Monday xx

Pittcity Mon 08-Mar-21 07:25:50

Good morning from a cold, grey Colchester.
More house move packing today. Trying to get DH to part with some boots that have only been worn once in the 40 years we've been together. He's got several large boxes of "memories" that will never be looked at. I am a "if I don't use it chuck it out" type.
Spag bog for tea.

Much love x

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry again but seems a tad cooler out. I’m meeting my walking buddy after lunch. I shall get our takeaway coffees and wait for her in the square. Our circuit takes us through two parks and loops back through the streets and is just shy of 2 hours. We started a book club together 14 years ago, used to work at the same hospital and so as you can imagine we are never short of something to chat about when we meet up.

As we live in the town centre we are close to 4 schools and it will be lovely in an hour seeing excited (but slightly apprehensive I bet) children arriving, off the train across the road, walking or stepping from the buses - the stops on both sides of the street are outside our main entrance door here. Plenty of people watching to be had from our veranda!

I can’t wait for all the restrictions to be lifted although I know how fortunate Himself and I have been, meeting up on Saturdays in the park to see the little family.

Hope Monday is good to us all. Special thought of Iris today granMattie. Keep safe everyone that’s the main thing. x

baubles Mon 08-Mar-21 07:28:08

Good morning Mick, morning all from rainy South Lanarkshire.

I know what you mean Mick, the simple pleasure of meeting a friend for coffee feels like a dream.

More crochet and reading today and I also have a pile of white cotton T-shirts to wash and iron to go with a tie dye kit I’ve bought as part of a birthday present for one of the DGDs.

I’ll definitely look out for flamingoes.

Hope it’s a peaceful day for everyone.

Hiraeth Mon 08-Mar-21 07:29:02

Good morning all from here in Germany,
not muchgoing on today but dreaming of meeting up eventually with friends some time this year for a coffee and going on holidays 2022. Enjoy your day and stay safe everyone

Urmstongran Mon 08-Mar-21 07:33:23

A takeaway coffee baubles? Plus we are allowed to meet up with one person from a different household outside. We’ve had some lovely weather & it’s better than nothing. A catch up in person makes life feel more normal. You could meet different friends too to ring the changes!

brook2704 Mon 08-Mar-21 07:38:42

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a dull grey start to the day, maybe some rain later
Such good news that the schools in England are reopening today, another step closer to getting back to normal ?
Nothing planned for me today, I’ve some admin and bank paperwork to sort out so I’ll get that done first then maybe a walk later. I’ll do a bit of gardening too if it’s not raining
DH is going to do some gardening at DD2 house, they don’t have much time for gardening but like the garden to be tidy.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope the day is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Scentia Mon 08-Mar-21 07:42:44

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it feels mild.
Off to work shortly.
I have a blood test at 11 to check my thyroid levels!! Honestly, I don’t think there is anything else I can think is wrong with me? I have been tested for almost every condition. This pain I have is not right and it is not just arthritis so I am determined to get to the bottom of it. Dr has said he wants to SEE me when my results are in, I feel like I have been summoned to the headteacher?. I haven’t been to the surgery for god knows how long.
Enough moaning, have a good day folks and smile as much as you can ??

Marydoll Mon 08-Mar-21 07:56:30

Good morning all, as Kalu says, it's raining here in Glasgow, but that hasn't stopped the golfer!

Somehow, he has managed to organise a B&Q delivery for today, when he is golfing. I shall have to flutter my eyelashes at the delivery men, in the hope the will lift the goods round the back.

Sending hugs to all who are struggling just now.

Gwenisgreat1 Mon 08-Mar-21 07:58:31

Good morning all from cloudy Harrogate
Pittcity I have been trying for years to persuade Dh to part with his record collection and cabinet he keeps them in. Can’t remember when he last showed an interest in them apart from me suggesting they go!!! The only one who plays them is me, and that’s to remind him they are here!!
A chance to catch up on housework today? and maybe some more nothing
Have as best a day as you can - there is light at the end of the tunnel!
