If anyone receives a message on their mobile that says it is from Royal Mail delete it straight away, they are after your bank details

Royal Mail will never contact you by phone

Had one from PayPal yesterday saying they had put my account on hold. Logged into my real PayPal account, absolutely no problems with it. I ignored the text obviously.

They do send text messages when certain deliveries are about to be made, I had one recently saying that some goods being sent from the US were on the way. But there was no link asking for bank details so I was not concerned.

DH had 2 yesterday, saying they were from Royal Mail both were from mobile numbers.

I had two text messages, purportedly from Royal Mail saying I needed to pay a £2 re-delivery fee as I had missed the delivery.
I didn't fall for it, but I must say they looked very convincing. The website has an https address and the Royal Mail logo etc.

Me too! I had a message last night, asking for £2.99 for delivery of a parcel. It was from a mobile number and had a link attached.

Thanks Roses. Always good to have a reminder to be careful.

The Amazon phone calls I get on a regular basis have now been replaced by a message from Tesco’s asking me to dial 1.
