FannyCornforth Mon 15-Mar-21 13:09:33

Wow! That sounds right up my street!
Do you have a question GrannyGravy?

GrannyGravy13 Mon 15-Mar-21 13:12:14

What perfume/smells do you associate with your Mother?

Newatthis Mon 15-Mar-21 13:15:22

Lily of the Valley - her name was Lily and this was her favourite perfume. What was your best childhood memory?

FannyCornforth Mon 15-Mar-21 13:20:32

Lovely question GG
For me it's Coty L'aiment
Newatthis I can't single one out.
So many, but they would all heavily feature my mom. She died in 1997.
Love you mom thanks

FannyCornforth Mon 15-Mar-21 13:22:03

Oh! Got carried away, sorry!

What were your best and worst subjects at school?

Mollygo Mon 15-Mar-21 15:44:41

French Latin and Music
I was dire at Physics!

Have you ever employed a landscape gardener or don’t you need one?

Puzzler61 Mon 15-Mar-21 16:06:15

A gardener - yes but not a landscape gardener. He filled in an old drained pond and later he laid a patio over the top.

Do you like to dry your washing outside in the breeze or indoors?

hollysteers Mon 15-Mar-21 17:36:37

Outside

Are you a ‘creative’ cook or do you like to follow a recipe?

BBbevan Mon 15-Mar-21 18:01:40

Usuallly follow a recipe.

Do you have a favourite artist .I mean a painter, sculptor etc. Not a singer.

Trisha57 Mon 15-Mar-21 18:05:30

Definitely Monet, although Magritte is a close second!

Trisha57 Mon 15-Mar-21 18:06:00

Sorry, next question: what song take you back to your first love?

Trisha57 Mon 15-Mar-21 18:10:04

Should be "takes".

Lexisgranny Mon 15-Mar-21 18:11:42

Venus in Blue Jeans

If you could live anywhere in the British Isles, where would it be?

EllanVannin Mon 15-Mar-21 18:38:11

Jersey. A warmer climate. Beautiful shores, walks and only 14 miles across to the French coast.

FannyCornforth Mon 15-Mar-21 20:49:56

Trisha57

Definitely Monet, although Magritte is a close second!

Really? An impressionist and a surrealist?
You have eclectic tastes!

FannyCornforth Mon 15-Mar-21 20:51:16

Do you mean Mattise?

nanna8 Mon 15-Mar-21 21:49:36

If you were going to ask a stranger any question you like, what would it be?

Urmstongran Mon 15-Mar-21 22:50:54

‘Hello, do you come here often?’.
I thinks that nice and original.

Do you have any phobias?

BigBertha1 Tue 16-Mar-21 07:39:25

Not too often but I look daily. I dont think I have any tru phobias but hearty dislikes e.g. anything that tastes of smells of mint even the word upsets me.
My question is What is your best time if day and why?

Baggs Tue 16-Mar-21 09:22:16

"Even the word mint upsets me". Gosh. That must be a nuisance.

My best time of day is early morning because of the quietness, quietness that is except for the bird song. At this time of year thrushes are yelling their heads off when I wake up. I love it.

Has anyone else discovered the new chocolate bar, 'Chomp'?

hollysteers Tue 16-Mar-21 10:06:33

No, will look for it.

Have you put weight on during lockdown?

Trisha57 Tue 16-Mar-21 10:10:33

FannyCornforth No, I definitely meant Magritte! I know, my tastes are all over the place. I first saw a Magritte exhibition in my teens and loved it, and then studied Fine Art with History of Art as one of my minor subjects and fell in love again with the Impressionist movement. I also have a couple of Lowrys up on the walls (not the originals, obviously!)
