Mike, remember you're a member of the royal family!

We go from one royal couple not wanting to tell us anything about the baby's arrival, to Mike Tindall talking about how his baby son appeared on the bathroom floor at the weekend! Congratulations to him and Zara!

The Tindall’s are not a royal couple

Ellianne Wed 24-Mar-21 15:01:39

Anniebach

The Tindall’s are not a royal couple

No, Annie but they still speak fondly of showing the baby to granny and the family!
grin

Ellianne Wed 24-Mar-21 15:02:52

And I'm sure the Queen will hold this one as dear as Archie. They are all her great great grandchildren. Bless her!

Anniebach Wed 24-Mar-21 15:17:14

Surely showing a new born to granny and family is what people do

Ellianne Wed 24-Mar-21 15:22:34

Absolutely, what I'm trying to say Annie is that they are a lovely, unpretentious, natural, refreshing couple. Those two big sisters will enjoy their little brother!
It is the style of the casual reporting of it that is funny. Midwife Mike!

I'm really happy for them. Mike comes across as a great Dad and has made no secret of the fact that they were hoping for a son this time.

His account of the birth made me laugh.

So the couple who just want to be normal have their baby in a fantastically expensive private hospital and complain that he hasn't got a title.

The real normal couple have their untitled baby on the bathroom floor. Who better than a rugby player for catching the baby? grin

JenniferEccles Wed 24-Mar-21 15:41:12

Born on the bathroom floor you say ?
It was always a dread of mine that we wouldn’t get to the hospital in time and something like that would happen to me.

Lovely news about a baby boy after two girls. No wonder Mike was delighted.

What wonderful news for the Queen too after what she has been forced to endure lately from a certain couple of spoilt brats.

i can't see anything wrong with his account.
born on the bathroom floor is not too much information.
nothing embarrassing or personal about that.
good luck to them all.

One of my nephews was born on the bathroom floor, he was in a hurry to join us!

I was having a little laugh with TMI.
I'll ask GN to change the title for me.

Always good to hear of a birth wherever they decide to pop out!

Alima Wed 24-Mar-21 16:13:23

Brilliant news for them and what lovely names. Great to be able to celebrate two grandads with one name.

storynanny Wed 24-Mar-21 16:42:54

My latest grandson was a lockdown baby born in the bathroom delivered by his aunty as me and grandad had missed 16 calls in the middle of the night. I’m secretly relieved I wasn’t there til it was all over!

SueDonim Wed 24-Mar-21 16:46:16

It sounds a very happy event! It was lovely to hear of a new baby arriving safely. smile

A friend of mine gave birth on her front garden path though she only lived two doors away from the hospital! She said it really wasn’t very ladylike behaviour. grin

EllanVannin Wed 24-Mar-21 17:01:34

I was really pleased for them when the news came on.
He won't be standing on ceremony grin

Callistemon Wed 24-Mar-21 17:41:45

Congratulations to them both on the arrival of Lucas Philip Tindall.

My number 3 arrived in a rush too!

Emily49 Wed 24-Mar-21 17:44:03

Well done, Ellianne on dealing well with such grouchy, snappy responses!

Auntieflo Wed 24-Mar-21 17:44:37

Lovely news. Congratulations to the proud parents, and dad with a safe pair of hands

BlueSky Wed 24-Mar-21 17:47:34

Lovely they gave him Philip as second name.

Callistemon Wed 24-Mar-21 18:05:41

nothing embarrassing or personal about that.

Oh Welbeck, you've obviously never been first on the scene in that scenario! grin

Iam64 Wed 24-Mar-21 18:25:10

I delivered a grandchild, breech, in the bathroom. He’s a 25 year old lovely man now
