Good morning all, from a cloudy Glasgow, with showers predicted.
I'm sorry to hear wee Iris has a pin infection, but glad to hear, she had a rescue pack for that eventuality. It's such a good idea, as it saves valuable time waiting for a prescription. We chronic asthmatics, have them too and can help keep us out of hospital.
Yet another restless night, between my hand and hip pain. However, I can tholl it, as my mother would say. Joyfulness is a great analgesic, as we are off out, down the coast to the garden centre!
I'm so excited, as my favourite part is the run down the motorway, with views of the River Clyde. ( Litterpicker, take note)
I should be reasonably safe, as the indoor part is closed , (no morning coffee and cake) and I will be outside. Shops are still closed here.
I've been told, no going on public transport, until I get my second vaccine, thank goodness I'm beginning to get my driving confidence back, so no need for buses and trains. I still need to be extremely vigilant, as do we all, even if we don't have pre-existing conditions.
After that, we will take the coast road down to Saltcoats
and visit the bakery, followed by a bag of chips, eaten on the harbour wall. Bliss!
The only downside, is not having Dollie with us. She will be raging if she finds out! ?
Speaking of second vaccines, I phoned the GP surgery to ensure I'm on the list this time, after the previous fiasco. The (surprisingly helpful) receptionist informed me that they are awaiting the next batch of vaccine for the shielders, so fingers crossed.
I also got a surprise phone call yesterday, about last week's cancelled hospital appointment to discuss my non existent Vit D and calcium and a possible date for my two year late, ☹Alendronic acid infusion. The appointment was rescheduled for June, but will now be next week.
As it's now to be a telephone consultation, we managed to fit it around my mammogram, which is the same day. Things seem to be moving again here in the NHS.
I'm actually become a little apprehensive about getting out again for previously cancelled hospital appointments and being in contact with people, after thirteen months of shielding.
I used to be such a social animal!
