I found the key that soop left.
I must complain that getting down to retrieve keys then getting up again is very tricky! Please leave them in a more accessible place in future.
Anyway here’s a bottle of Dom Perignon and a large iced bowl of caviar to open the kitchen!
( we’re going posh this time!

How lovely to have you back with us soop and beautiful photos with the piper, you look so fabulous and trendy in pink ! So nice that he played Mull of Kintyre for you too - perfect. Wishing baby Toby well with his operation, I’m sure he’s in very safe hands.
And good news too about Imogen Jaxj I hope she’s in a lot less pain now and everything heals well.
This morning I took 6 year old DGD to her dance class and then met up with DD2 and DGS later at the Inverness crazy golf. Little DGS aged 7 loves it and goes most Saturdays when he can. Then I was unexpectedly invited to join them all for lunch at a local cafe - I jumped at the idea and we had a lovely time. I ended up paying of course - like you do!
I love the pictures of the houses with the flowers dragonfly so pretty - thanks for sharing and I hope you enjoyed your holidays
Have a lovely time away Susan and I hope the Baptism celebrations eventually go to plan - maybe the spider man costume can come out later ?
Hope everyone has a lovely evening, for those watching the football good luck to England - I hope they win

Excellent news about Imogen Jax. Happy birthday to your DD.

Hello soop. Brilliant to have you back. Great photos. I see you got a squeeze from the piper? Hope all goes well for your GGS.

Lovely photos Dragonfly

I have my leg elevated again today. The Doctor did say to get a xray if things didn't improve. The pain had lessened and I was managing a slow walk putting weight on it but last night I noticed it was swollen slightly.

Rang 111 this morning - busy - so I did the on line questions. Because it will take my weight, I have to go back to RICE for a longer period. DD and DGD left last evening so I had been walking around quite a lot. It was so sad to see them go, particularly as I'd not seen much of them. I've been pushing them out every day to visit our favourite parts of Cornwall. DD is planning a long weekend here in the Autumn so we can go around gardens together. No more muse mishaps please.

Great banter in the Argy last night as we remembered jet. Lovely message from her daughter.

Pleased to hear Imogen is mending, burns are so painful Jax.

Good news about your scan soop I do hope they can do something to help.

Jaxjacky Sat 03-Jul-21 18:14:22

Welcome back soop your personal piper, how special, I can understand your concerns with the news about Toby, medicine is so skilled now and probably best tackled while he’s younger. dragonfly what delightful houses with pretty flowers, very picturesque.
DD and Imogen are back from the hospital, the burn has been redressed, GP/Nurse appointed to be made for next week to dress again, watch for any signs of infection. The hardest thing will be no exposure to sunlight for some weeks, Imogen loves shorts and they’re all of to Bude when schools break up. Her new skin will be as delicate as a baby’s for some time, could’ve been a lot worse, phew, thank you all again. DD can now enjoy her birthday garden party ?
MrJ is on his way to the local, I’ll wander down about a quarter to kick off, big game ??????????????.
Have a lovely evening all.
panache x

We are away for a few days staying in the hotel where our younger daughter got married.Tomorrow is Barnaby’s baptism. It has been cancelled several times due to lockdowns. He is very excited as a bouncy castle has been ordered for the after celebration. He was not so excited by the outfit he has to wear. His outfit of choice is his Spider-Man costume?

soop Sat 03-Jul-21 17:06:47

Very slow progress with updating myself. I apologise and will do very much better by the beginning of the new week.

Letter from Gartnavel hospital in Glasgow waiting on our return. I'm to have a physiology study and ultrasound scan sometime soon. The drop bot was a real pain in the backside during our holiday. hmm However, I was determined to not let it spoil our enjoyment. Mr Soop also pulled out all the stops and was a delightful companion in every sense.

dragonfly Your photos are delightful. We returned to a garden that appears to have gone almost tropical. I must take some photos when I've a spare minute.

Washing machine on overtime. A new shed to place masses of stuff into tidily. I shall return tomorrow.

A very warm welcome to all our new kitcheners. I hope to get know you better as things return to normal. You will be happy here with us. That's a promise.

Just popped in to say Hallo.
We have just got back from a lovely few days in the Peak District. Here are pictures of the beautiful flowers outside houses in Tideswell.

I hope your GD is feeling better today Jax and your GGS has a successful outcome to his operation.

Blossoming Sat 03-Jul-21 16:14:09

Sending best wishes for a good outcome for your grandson soop. One of my big brothers had experimental open heart surgery as a little boy in the 50’s. He celebrated his 74th birthday a few weeks ago. The skill of surgeons is amazing.

Hellogirl1 Sat 03-Jul-21 15:41:10

So sorry to hear about Toby, will send my best vibes over to him. I looked at the photos before reading your post, Soop, for a minute I thought you`d traded Mr Soop in for a handsome piper! Then I thought, "Naaaagh, she wouldn`t do that in a month of Sundays"!!
Jaxjacky, so sorry to read about your poor granddaughter, I hope her pain relief is working.

Grandmabatty Sat 03-Jul-21 13:24:54

Sounds like you had a good time Soop. You have a very cheeky smile! I'm sorry to hear that about your great grandson. ?

soop Sat 03-Jul-21 13:03:33

Jaxjacky Oh dear! I shall be sending all good, healing vibes for your little granddaughter's speedy recovery.

We arrived home from a lovely Highland fling late yesterday. Perfect weather. Special memories of glorious scenery, the perfect hotel, sunshine and good company.

Toby, our wee greatgrandson is to have open heart surgery on the 15th of this month. A recent scan determined that it was better performed asap. So, we have a stressful few days ahead. Our granddaughter feels totally reassured that he has the best surgeon to perform the procedure. They have been told that he will be in the theatre for a few hours. They will be staying in the hospital.

There is so much catching up to do. I shall do my best to reacquaint myself with the happenings of you lovely lot before too long. Please be patient with me. wink

We met a piper on our travels. He played Mull of Kintyre for me. Was I chuffed? grin

soop Sat 03-Jul-21 12:42:54

Dear Panache, You were together until the end. True love indeed. I echo all the previous messages from your Granspals. I wish you peace of mind and all manner of healing and renewed strength for the days ahead. With my love.

Jaxjacky Thinking of you all. Hoping for a good outcome for your granddaughter. I know what it feels like to wait and wonder. Kindest regards flowers

Nannytopsy Fri 02-Jul-21 23:33:12

JaxJacky burns are so painful. Poor soul.
We have been to friends in Derbyshire this week, then had another friend to stay here last night, as soon as we got home and I did the school run this morning. DGC are now asleep here as both parents are on long days.
I can honestly say I can’t remember being this tired in an age.
Gardening tomorrow if it stays dry.
Sleep tight everyone. X

Susan56 Fri 02-Jul-21 22:57:30

Oh Jax, how horrific for you all, your poor granddaughter.I really hope the assessment tomorrow goes well.

annodomini Fri 02-Jul-21 22:50:23

Jaxjacky, what a shock for you all and a nasty experience for your GD. Poor girl. She must be in a lot of pain - hopefully the morphine will take the edge off it. Tomorrow will tell - fingers crossed for her.

muse Fri 02-Jul-21 22:33:50

Jaxjacky. What a traumatic day. I hope the reassessment is positive tomorrow. It's so terrible have to wait.

brook2704 Fri 02-Jul-21 22:32:05

Jaxjacky so sorry to hear about your DGD and hope she’s not in too much pain, poor lamb. What a worry it must be, I hope the assessment tomorrow goes ok ❤️,
