Good Morning everyone. It’s dry with cloud here on Severnside.

I didn’t get very far with anything to do with my errand yesterday. A homework and swimming day today

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is sunny and promises to stay that way for a few days.
I went to my first walking group yesterday, it is very friendly but rather slow, still, the main aim is to meet some new people so it should be good. They are meeting on the trail near my house next week so I can take a brisk walk to the start!
Work for a few hours today then I will come home to do some cleaning. My house is showing up dust when the sun shines through the mucky windows.?
Day off tomorrow to spend with DD and DGC.

Good morning, Mick and the GM gang from a dull but dry (finally!) Torbay!

Yesterday, it was great to resume my exercise class after a six month gap. We are in a new venue, no longer within walking distance but with plenty of parking and space to social distance.

During my walk in the park on Sunday, I experienced an unnerving incident with a territorial crow! Almost as soon as I entered the park, it began this horrible squawking noise and circled round as I proceeded to the end of the park. There I chatted to neighbours who told me it had actually divebombed their little dog before! This weird behaviour continued until I was half way home. I can only assume it has young nearby or dementia. Shades of Hitchcock!

I hope today brings more smiles than tears.. I think of you all whenever the advert for a programme about gardens appears on ITV, in which two flamingoes feature! ???

Good morning from a gloomy, wet E Kent.
Tai chi this morning, supermarket this afternoon. I know how to live!
I have nearly finished another pair of trousers for Iris, and have enough fabric to make a matching crop top, with a matching frill at the bottom.
I picked my first “Lady Marmalade” rose. It is lightly scented. DH insisted that I should buy it as a memory of my previous life as “Jam Lady”, when I made thousands of pots of marmalade to sell in the church.
I hope that today is kind to all GraMmingos. ????☀️?

Pleasant enough day yesterday , a trip to a garden centre for a couple of border rose bushes, home via B&Q as it seems it was vital that Mr C had a piece of wood to sort a bookcase that’s needed sorting for maybe a year. It’s done now, good things come to she who waits . General catch up for me in the afternoon, finished my book and on to the next. Hoping to tidy the garden this morning, it’s all a bit bedraggled after the rain.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Black Country.

We arrived back yesterday afternoon from our week away in Bude. We had lovely sunny weather every day until the last day. We managed a few coastal walks, along the South Coast Path, and relaxing beach days. The scenery along the coast is stunning! We are getting used to the caravan now, and hooking up and towing is less stressful!

I already have a load of washing on the line, and the next load is in the machine.

Pottering today, and cutting the lawn. I have all your news to catch up on too.

Good morning from a cool but dry N Bucks
I sincerely hope it stays dry as I got back at midnight (having changed my mind about staying over) to find I must have a roof leak above the bay window in my bedroom as there is a definite damp patch on my (recently redecorated) ceiling and that awful telltale smell of damp plaster. I had thought I could smell it during the heavy rain in the last few days but as there was no sign of anything on the ceiling I hoped I was imagining it
The play -Romeo and Juliet- was wonderful, the rain held off but it was jolly cold , glad we had all wrapped well, but I felt for the actors playing to a half empty audience. Regents Park open air theatre is usually a sell out. It was very atmospheric as it started to get darker against the backdrop of the trees in the park and you could hardly tell if the birds were sound effects or parakeets in the trees.
Saw D before for a quick meal and after before she had to go off to do “notes” with the director and cast and as there had been no interval the play had ended earlier than I expected so I decided to just get the bus along to Euston and the 10.30 train home.
Haven’t been in London “proper” for 18 months - I had almost forgotten how busy and noisy it is!
So why am I awake at silly o’clock?

Good morning all from north Surrey. Overcast but dry.
Yesterday I just couldn’t get warm, heating was on and a blanket when I sat down, felt like I used to after a run of night shifts.
Managed to get to garden centre and chose cards for two colleagues who are leaving, DH chose nicotiana plants to fill the gaps, I love their scent on a warm summer evening (let’s hope we get some).
This morning I have a visit to the surgery for requested blood test. I have been taking BP for the past week so will give those results.
Will take my gym kit in the car and carry on to the gym after.
Housework later and the England game this evening.

Good morning Mick and all his followers. It’s cloudy but dry in Suffolk this morning. I just hope it isn’t as cold as yesterday. We had the heating on for a couple of hours last evening as it was so chilly.
I shall try and cut the lawn today as it’s getting very untidy but that may upset the bees who are enjoying the clover. There are plenty more bee restaurants within a few feet! I think “grass” is a better description than “ lawn”. Who needs a wild flower meadow when you have plenty of clover, daisies, buttercups, vetches and bindweed in the lawn? And those are just the ones in flower at the moment!
Glad you are keeping up the good work with your sewing grandMattie. I finally finished a sundress for DGD and don’t have any knitting or crotchet on the go. Christmas bunting and a patchwork table runner perhaps? I have plenty of seasonal fabric.
Thinking of our friends who are poorly or have worries. I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good morning from Essex by the sea where it has stopped raining but it is so cold. Another bad night, awake at 3.30 but have had a couple of hours sleep on the sofa.
A very wet birthday yesterday, thanks for all the good wishes. I spoke to both my girls and had lots of messages from friends and family.
Hopefully we will hear today if 12 year old granddaughter has tested positive for Covid Her sisters stayed at home yesterday but another 10 days of isolating as a family would be the last straw for my daughter ??.
DH will be spending the day on his boat, I have the dreaded curtains to finish for his friend plus housework and ironing.

Good morning all from a cool, but sunny Glasgow, I'm doing an Urmston, the 6.52am to Kilmarnock has just pulled into the station. I can't see it, but I can hear it. For such a long time, we heard no trains.
I hope Urms is enjoying her stay.

Nothing much to report, apart from Dollie testing negative.
I popped up yesterday with cakes from the bakery and dinner for them.
DS1 and DIL had little sleep over the weekend, so I suspected cooking would be the last thing on their mind. As for Dollie, she was full of beans, it was just the adults who were exhausted.
But what a cough...her daddy has had the same bark, since he was a wee boy.
It was really difficult, since I had to stand on the doorstep, just in case she tested positive. I still haven't had a hug and it's making me so sad. I feel as if we are losing her. ?
My GP has advised me to still be extremely cautious and behave as if I haven't been vaccinated at all. perhaps, when school finishes on Wednesday for the summer and she is no longer in contact with lots of others, there may be hope,

We are off out early, while the shops are quiet, to buy a composter. Up until now, our garden waste was collected weekly by the LA for free however, they have now introduced a charge and everyone is protesting! Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Our large garden generates a lot of waste, especially the trees and bushes and we need to keep on top of it all.

Cloud with a sliver of sunlight here in South Bucks.

You were lucky NannyJ that you had good weather. We returned yesterday from the Bournemouth area where it had rained every day, the motorway back was wall to wall rain. It was so good to get home. We sat round the fire and ate our supper, so snug and nice. Maybe our hols in the New forest next month will give us some sunshine.

Glad you got to your R & J yesterday MawBe. We went to see As you Like It at the Chilterns Open Air Museum recently. So good to get back to these outdoor productions. Our next is The Merry Wives of Windsor. I think I have only seen this once before about 50 years ago! I wonder if any of the characters will be called Kate and Meghan ?

Good Morning from sunny East Yorkshire .
Yesterday ended up so cold here and I sat with my throw over my knees whilst watching TV last night.
Today I’m meeting some friends for coffee. There will be a lot to catch up on after being away last week. No other plans for the afternoon but I may do a walk. I’m spurred on after all our walking last week in Wales and did manage my 10,000 steps yesterday thanks to a walk around the shops and getting the train home which involves a little walk at this end.
I do envy those of you theatregoers amongst us. I am itching to get back there. Our local one has a couple of productions coming up so I think I will test the water with one of those. In normal times I treat myself to a couple of shows in London. I am thinking of planning an overnight trip there. I’d like to see a show or two and also go to see Kensington Palace to see the exhibition of Diana’s wedding dress and also a mooch at the V&A that I have missed doing.

Good morning all. Polmont is sunny but I noticed the temperature was 3°! It's good that Dolly has tested negative Marydoll. We have a garden uplift once a month and it is free. Anything else I would have to go to the dump.
Last night was the return of face to face craft class. We made tie dye bags and a bag charm/keyring. It was nice to see folk again. My craft skills aren't great and the charm will be quietly binned!
Today is a babysitting one again. Fish man after breakfast. I don't think we'll go to the park today. But we'll see. Have a good day all.

Good morning Mick and all from warm but overcast Anglesey. We could do with a good downpour for the garden which is full of new plants. We have made new planters from the left over battens with which we made the fences. The front of the house looked rather dull with its gravel drive and plain facade. Yesterday we put the planters either side of the front door and filled with plants, looks much better.
We too have to pay for our green bin service Marydoll, we also have a large garden full of trees and shrubs. Orlin has a large compost area behind the shed but we still need the service so we pay up, no useful tip for you I’m afraid.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. The sun is shining but no real heat yet. 10 degrees. A young crow had come down the chimney so I have just opened the window to let it out.
The painter is coming today so hopefully he will finish and I can get the rooms back to rights.
Dentist this afternoon . Whatever he did last week hasn't worked and I have toothache.

I went on a lovely coastal walk with my walking group yesterday. St Abb's head to Eyemouth. Here is the harbour at Eyemouth where we had our lunch.
