Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry here in Brackley this morning, today my plans was originally to go and see the Bond film , but with performance times not working with bus times will wait for the DVD version .
The usual bus to Bicester only , have my coffee and snack , then shop and return home to relax.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning, everyone, from a dry, calm Torbay.

That’s a shame about the Bond film, Mick. I believe it’s a very long one.

An early start today for an appointment with the dental hygienist. Then a couple of Zoom meetings will keep me out of mischief!

Have a good day, everyone. ?????

Carpe diem. Love well. ?????

Good morning from a dry NE.
Busy day yesterday which was tiring as I was under par after the vaccination.
Last night I made roast pepper soup, better use of the peppers and tomatoes as I wasn't finding the time to prepare salad during the day.
DD will probably visit today, she is good at sorting financial matters and other admin things and it will allow me to get on with the caring of DH.

Urmstongran Tue 12-Oct-21 06:42:36

Good morning Mick grandMattie and harri and all who follow. I slept badly last night, got up and made a cuppa at 3am and couldn’t get back to sleep. Oh well, I cab be in bed after Children’s Hour if need tonight!

I’m making the SOAP dish for daughter & son in law this morning and Himself will drive round and drop it off at lunchtime whilst I walk up to meet some friends for lunch. They are book clubbers - but this is a splinter group who like to meet once a fortnight as all are retirees.

Later, early evening, Himself will take the Boy Wonder to his football practice.

Enjoy Tuesday all who can. x

Grandmajean Tue 12-Oct-21 07:13:10

Blooming early start ! DH playing golf so brought me a cuppa.
Meeting friend for coffee. First time in a cafe/ restaurant/ pub in 18 months.
Have the best day possible everyone.

Morning Mick and all

We are looking after The Imp today, might visit the Farm Shop, nothing else planned.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Jaxjacky Tue 12-Oct-21 07:15:37

Good morning all, it’s dark, dry I think, in S Hants. Well that’s annoying Mick. I was up and down to the toilet overnight as I was drinking Pepsi last night, I’d forgotten that’s what it does to me.
A voluntary drive this morning, video call with the banks financial advisor and bathrooms to clean. Then the dreaded shirt ironing…
Hope you get some rest gM, that GrandmaSomerset has hot water and you harrigran can grab at least 10 minutes of rest.
Have a pleasant day all ??.

Good morning from a still dark Black Country.

Our walk yesterday covered 7.5 miles. I was absolutely shattered. So after lunch had a snooze, then was very achey and stiff!

Two yearly eye-test this morning, then flu jab this afternoon. Such excitement!

MrJ off on a long cycle ride with his club, so won't be home till late afternoon. So may get on with housework, or maybe finish my book smile

Enjoy your day everyone.

Beechnut Tue 12-Oct-21 07:26:17

Good Morning all from Severnside where it’s dry and looks like another warm sunny ahead.

I’m off swimming soon and then a day at working around the house.

Have a good day all ?

Pittcity Tue 12-Oct-21 07:36:56

Good morning from a dawning Colchester where the heating is on and the sky looks a flat light grey.
Tuesday is my day at the charity shop. I will buy dinner on the way home. Our habits are reverting to pre pandemic daily shops as we have a choice within 5 minutes walk.

Love to all ?x

Morning Mick, morning All. A dry start to our corner of Somerset. It feels decidedly chilly.

Hope to get out today, Mr C is in need of a coffee and cake fix. Exhaustion took over yesterday so little activity. Need some oomph back as we’ve a legal issue brewing that will need energy, time and patience to negotiate.

Hope you can rest later grandMattie, pleased you’ll have support from your daughter today harri. 7.5 miles nannyjan? Well done you.

Take care everyone. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Nannytopsy Tue 12-Oct-21 07:43:28

Good morning Mick and all his followers. It’s hazy sunshine in Suffolk so far.

What a shame about your film Mick - we are going this afternoon. When I booked there were very few seats taken, so we should be pretty distanced.
Another one here who had a bad night - I too was up and down to the loo, then not able to drop off.
I’m pleased your daughter is there to help Harri and try to take a few minutes for yourself.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good morning all. It’s a dry one here in East Yorkshire.

Coffee morning for me today. Then I will have an easy afternoon as we are having dgs after school today.
It is the annual fair here this week and DS took him last night and sent me some lovely photos.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Mick, morning all from Northumberland. I’m not sure what the weather is doing as I haven’t looked outside.

Yesterday was warm and sunny and drove a few miles the walked across farmland to Dunstanburgh Castle. Such beautiful views. Lunch sitting outside the Jolly Fisherman was delicious.

I’m not sure what we’re doing today, a trip on a light railway has been mentioned so perhaps that.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day. ??

Good morning. N. Bucks is dry and looking like it will brighten up .
Dd3 calling in this morning with little GS . First cuddle for a fortnight as they kept away while GS2 isolated with Covid.
Later I have a zoom meeting and a report to write for a local magazine. Craft work for the rest of the day .
Thoughts with all who have troubles and struggles and a smile for everyone.

Good morning all from the Black country.
Need to go to the bank, went yesterday and found they'd closed for an 1hr most unusual, to lazy to walk back round again later.
Ironing to do and curry for tea.
Enjoy your day and may you all find some ?.

Good morning all from a very dark Glasgow.

Mick, we went to see the Bond film at the 11am showing, in a very empty cinema. It is 160 minutes long, but about half an hour of that was trailers and adverts. If you missed out the trailers, could you fit the bus times round seeing it? I hadn't been to the cinema, since seeing the last Bond film! ?

Yesterday's hospital visit was quite stressful. I am not a wimp and hospitals never phase me, but a combination of feeling below par, struggling to walk, shunted from room to room, between nurses, as no-one could get blood from me and then being unable to find His Lordship in the car park ( not answering his phone) got too much for me.

Much to my embarrassment, I burst into tears in the middle of the hospital car park? Unfortunately, no handsome professor came to comfort me, as happens in my Korean medical dramas ?, just a grumpy old Mr Doll.)
I have scaled almost insurmountable mountains of medical problems, but couldn't cope with something as simple as this!

In the middle of the blood fiasco, my phone kept ringing ( I know I should have switched it off). On checking my phone, there was a text from my SIL, saying he was round the corner in A&E, seeking help for the foot, he had hurt on the island of Islay on Friday. The prolonged ringing of the phone was my DD phoning to unburden herself to me about SIL!!
Life is never simple!

We were expecting a Scottish Gas engineer today, as we have problems with the electricity in our lounge. Unfortunately, the person who phoned me to cancel the appointment yesterday ?, nearly got short shrift, as he called just after a number of scam calls. Poor man! I had to apologise for my cold tone.
The first available appointment is next Monday, that's a shocking ten day wait, because its not an emergency.

A gentle day for me, I think. Keeping all our lovely Goodmorningers in my thoughts and prayers. I am going back to read the thread now and awaiting room service, with my morning cuppa to take some of my meds. I would advise you not to stay in this hotel, the service is dreadful! ?

Have the best day possible, everyone.

Good morning all from a grey North Leicestershire.

Not much happening here today which is good as yesterday was very busy one way and another. We are the delivery point for stuff for the village library and, apparently, there is something coming today but that looks like the only excitement.

Sending love and strength to all who need it.

Kim19 Tue 12-Oct-21 08:11:35

Morning all from here in the north. Haven't nose peeked the curtains yet but daylight is beginning to break through. Highlight of my day will be having double jabs around lunchtime. Don't think I'm going to share if I have any adverse effects. My friends and family have done this and,, for the first time ever, I feel a little bit nervous. Remainder of day will be pampered self indulgence. That's my excuse anyway! Hope everyone finds their personal high today.

Jaxjacky Tue 12-Oct-21 08:23:37

Stunning pictures baubles thank you.

Good morning everyone from a dull and overcast ☁ Northampton. Glad I got the grass cut yesterday.

A friend phoned yesterday to say she'd been "pinged", and was just warning me to be on the look-out. She had apparently been exposed to Covid last Monday, 8 days ago, and I was with her on the next day. However, I have had no symptoms and neither has she, and I tested negative on Saturday. She is planning on isolating the rest of this week. Shall do another test this morning, and I have just sent for another pack of tests.

Not much planned for today; will probably change the bedding, and have a tidy round. May put the fruit to soak overnight for my Christmas cakes, then I can bake them tomorrow.

Lovely photos baubles; love Dunstanburgh castle, happy memories of a holiday with DH in Northumberland....

Have a good day everyone.

Gingster Tue 12-Oct-21 08:30:17

Good morning all and it’s chilly here but calm and dry here in Essex.

One of the twin gs’s has Covid - he doesn’t feel too bad but I expect it will spread through the household. His brother shares a bedroom with him so not much hope for him not getting it.

Lots of really bad colds doing the rounds with everyone saying’ ‘never had such a bad cold’. I’m keeping clear. ?

Bridge club this afternoon and I’ll finish my book club book sometime today.

Lovely pics baubles. This is such a beautiful country.

Keep well, all ????

Good morning all from a dry Greater Manchester. Only plans are sorting kitchen cupboards with my tetris ability. I can't get down easily to the bottom ones or up high to the top ones. The middle ones should be a breeze though!
Have a peaceful day. Thoughts go out to those with troubles and ills. thanks ??
