Good morning from a very dull and rainy Black Country.

Opticians visit meant a new prescription, so a hit to the purse! Then flu jab in the afternoon, means a slight sore arm this morning.

SIL birthday today, he is 48! Five years older than DD. I will be looking after the girls Saturday evening whilst they go out for a meal. Cannot really call it babysitting now as they are 13 and 10.

A sewing morning in store for me today, I’ve got some work trousers to shorten for DH, a lovely bright orange, I’ll need my sunglasses on! ?

Good morning Mick and all his followers. We thoroughly enjoyed James Bond yesterday in an audience of 17! Certainly well distanced but no one else wore a mask.
Suffolk is grey and still this morning.
Today I shall hopefully finish the hanging gardens (three flowerbeds up a bank). There is a large day lily which is coming out and taking a smaller one out yesterday nearly finished me off. Then lots of daffs to plant.
Tonight it is WI, so an early dinner for us.
I can’t believe Wolfie is 3 (or 6!). What a little character.

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey damp Carlisle.
Yesterday I had a piece of furniture delivered at 8.30pm, they'd only been gone 10 minutes when guys arrived and started tearing up our temporary road to put a proper one in. My men were lucky, spared from having to carry it down the road on foot. But thank goodness we will soon be able to stop dodging raised manhole and drain covers.
My garage is stuffed with cardboard and packing materials so I think I will have to organise a trip to the recycling centre soon though they won't be recycling the hated expanded polystyrene. Time it was banned and an alternative found.
Lots of things waiting to be got on with here so I shall resist the temptation to find another book to read until this evening. Once I get into one, I find every excuse to pick it up whatever the time of day.
I find it a bit worrying to read of people being poorly with covid even after 2 or 3 jabs. I have decided to risk visiting DS1 and family for Christmas and DS2 from Australia will be visiting too. The choice seems to be risk being ill or be a hermit for the indefinite future. I haven't seen any of them for 2 years, or more in the case of DS2. I shall go but I shall worry!

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where is mild and damp. I’ve not long been awake! I slept for 12 hours pretty much - making up for the night before I expect.

No real plans here today until after school pick up & taking the grandchildren to their swimming lessons. L’il Miss had her first last week and was a natural - no arm bands after the first 10 minutes of assessment! I think her 3 week Spanish holiday jumping into the pool every day with the Boy Wonder has given her great confidence.

Right, time for my second cuppa. Does Himself know? ?

Good morning all - off for my booster in a few minutes.
I was very relieved that despite a positive LFT on Monday, eldest grandson’s PCR came back negative yesterday . I was looking after him and his brother and sister (and daft dog) over the weekend in Birmingham and there was lots of hugging going on!
My own LFT when I heard on Monday was negative but if he had subsequently tested positive I would have had to cancel my booster.
Yesterday’s Zoom Arts Society Special Interest Day went well I managed not to press the ejector button or pull the plug on anybody (but it was stressful!)
So that’s another “feel the fear and do it anyway” out of the way. Phew!

More positive start to the day - heating engineer coming late morning and a long awaited delivery of supplies for DH has finally arrived and should make my life that little bit easier. Just hope the boiler can be fixed now and not need to wait for parts. And a friend is coming for a cup of tea this afternoon, so that’s all good.

Great news about Dollie, Marydoll; sounds like a big step forward. Thinking of harrigan and hoping she has a good day, and that all those less than happy today find the odd flamingo.

Good morning from a grey but looking promising Scottish Borders. Admin keeping me busy plus the usual household chores. I have a Waitrose delivery coming. Mostly boxes of chocolates and dog food. Made soup and dough rising. Best wishes to all.

Good Morning all, trying to scrape in before 12 noon !
SIL has a scratchy cough for a few days so went for a PCR this morning ! His lateral flow test was negative but he wanted to be sure
My Son is visiting from England so I think he has to do a test too , he is driving , maybe the boat is different ? He goes back tomorrow so PCR , test for him too
