‘Tis the season to be silly ( or almost time) so once again am inviting one and all to the grand Christmas Ball at Lemongrove Manor
These shindigs need starting early as there is so much to do!
Lord Lemongrove has been busy testing mince pies and pigs in blankets ever since Cook took them out of the oven this morn. What a man!

There will be rooms for those who wish to stay the night, and
Carriages at dawn for those who don’t.

As usual it helps if your offerings are in alphabetical order, but the more sherry we consume....tchblush
Stay and chat awhile if you want to and if pushed for time just state what you will bring ( then I can tick it off my to do lists.)

Here is the address for forgetful heads and newcomers...
Lemongrove Manor
Much Ado Inthemarsh
Nr. Rumpling in Parva
Cotswolds

Apple and cinnamon dumplings...Lord L can’t keep his hands of them at this time of year, and who could blame him?
My secret is to keep them well floured.

( another secret, should you wish to use GN emojis with a Christmas hat, is to add the prefix tch before the word you want, such as tchgrin. tchgrin

I will start us off unless somebody beats me to it.
I will bring Avocados, apricots in brandy and Advocar(sp) for the snowballs.

annsixty Fri 26-Nov-21 15:45:05

I shall also need a bed for the night please, I am not fit to be let out after a few tipples.
I will bring my own maid if you can give her a room in the servants attic.

We must have Bunting to decorate the manor.

The more the merrier Ann and snowballs always go down well ( as long as they stay down I shall be happy.)

Extra butlers and maids are very welcome, we need all hands on deck ( and off the brandy bottles.)

M0nica Fri 26-Nov-21 16:26:09

Fine wines, (and some not so fine ones, as long as they are palatable)

Jane71 Fri 26-Nov-21 16:44:17

Good comfy beds would be very welcome for me and DH.
Sorry lemongrove but we're giving our maid the night off so it'll be just us two.

Holly to deck the halls

BBbevan Fri 26-Nov-21 16:57:46

Indiscretion ….to add a bit of fun?

AGAA4 Fri 26-Nov-21 17:01:02

Just a few footmen - for foot massages.

LindaPat Fri 26-Nov-21 17:02:31

Jelly and jam tarts from us.

Please could you order us a carriage for midnight, as we have to get back to feed the cats.

Thank you xx

lemongrove Fri 26-Nov-21 19:12:37

Kittens ( talking of cats) we usually have a basket full of them near the roaring log fire at Christmas ( we borrow them from the farm down the lane.)
Nothing like a few pussies on show, especially with red ribbons attached to them....so cute!

lemongrove Fri 26-Nov-21 19:18:21

Log fire.....we will have them in most of the rooms over the festive period, and as old Dudders ( our faithful old retainer) is getting on in years, would you all mind lending a hand? The woodpile is out back next to the kennels.?

lemongrove Fri 26-Nov-21 19:19:59

Mistletoe! No man is safe !?

TillyTrotter Fri 26-Nov-21 19:31:02

Noel ? the first Noel,
I will sing it,
although ! Warning! many guests may plug their ears.

Oh no! Dudders did warn him that his wife would find him one day....he ran away from her in 1962.?
Please don’t take him away from us Ashcombe
