Good morning from dark Leicestershire.

Pleased your appointment went well Mick.

Up very early as I have to be at the TIA Clinic for 9.
Hoping they don’t find anything but it could be an all day job.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Beechnut Tue 18-Jan-22 06:19:06

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where there is a heavy frost. The moon is streaming through the windows where there are no curtains.

I hope you go on ok with your ear Mick and it heals well.

I’m not swimming this morning. I don’t fancy going out in the cold. I do have to pop next door though to tell my neighbours I have a big parcel for them. The courier did say he’d leave a note ?
I’ll potter today and FaceTime with Beechnutella when she finishes work. I expect her commute will involve going downstairs.

Have the best day you can all as there are a several AC worries ❄️??

Good morning from a frosty, moonlit E Kent. Jolly chilly when I went to put the food bin out.
Glad your appointment went OK Mick despite the three buses.each way!
DGD1 has developed CV19 and is housebound. Apparently, she is fine. The rest of the family is still negative. Testing daily, of course…
Yesterday, because the biscuit tin was nearly empty, I made some shortbread and some brownies. The latterip is the easiest thing to do - just mix the ingredients and bake. How easy is that?
I’ve got a haircut at 0830, a dentist appointment at 1130, supermarket shop in the afternoon and a WI craft group in the evening. Barely time to draw breath!
I hope today is kind to you all, especially the ones with pericarditis, please keep us informed. Carpe diem. ????☀️???

Scentia Tue 18-Jan-22 06:45:18

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is very frosty, or it could even be a dusting of snow!
Off on Nanna duties shortly, after dropping the eldest at nursery DGD and I are meeting my sister for a coffee before picking DGS up at lunch then off home to do DD pots from last night (which seems to be coming a habit?)
We will probably watch a film this afternoon as it is so cold.
Take care everyone and stay safe and upright❤️

Good morning from North Wales.
Glad you have had your ear bandaged Mick. I hope it will heal up well now.
I will go into town later as I need a few things from the chemist.
Have a good day everyone.

Gooood morning from a very brrrrrrr Yorkshire.
Good news about your ear Mick, sorry it happened in first place.

Today i am visiting my friend to take her birthday presents which is today, I was supposed to go last week but she wasnt well.

The central heating decided to cease working 2 weeks ago ( grrrrrr ) so today, after someone fix it, heat will circulate the house THANK GOODNESS.

I am making a drawstring bag using material i got with the Disney Frozen design, for my youngest granddaughter, its beautiful material, all sparkly. Very apt design considering we have indeed been flippin FROZEN with no central heating... brrrrrrrrr.

Enjoy your day everyone....

Good Morning everyone from a chilly south coast (-2.0). No sign of fog here though there is a weather warning on the BBC weather site for our county.

DH did a long spell in the front garden yesterday and the sun felt quite warm in the afternoon. Lots of passers-by stopped for a chat so he is up to date with local neighbours' news! He is a good worker once motivated and I do what I can with my dodgy knees and back problems, mainly cheer leading these days.

Glad your ear is healing Mick. Bit of a trek for you to get to the hospital though.

Sending best wishes to all with health or family worries and hoping the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

GrannyGravy13 Tue 18-Jan-22 07:04:03

Morning all

Pleased your ear is healing well Mick

Another day of not doing much as my back is still sore.

Wishing you all a good day

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Morning from a very frosty West Oxfordshire. I am not actually up yet but had a peek through the curtains earlier. Hope your ear improves Mick. It is my online V&A course this morning. Two lectures on Signs and Symbols in Art. I can’t wait until they restart in person courses. I have just heard that the Christmas presents I posted to my sister in Australia, at the end of November by airmail, have finally arrived!

kittylester Tue 18-Jan-22 07:15:44

Good morning all! North Leicestershire feels chilly.

I have a dental appt today and will arrest to get a gp appointment.

Good luck today dragonfly. I hope your back recovers soon, gg13.

kittylester Tue 18-Jan-22 07:16:17

Arrest - attempt!! Pesky phone.

At a loose end today as no coffee morning. One if our friends has a family funeral to attend so we may meet later in the week instead. GS will be here after school.

Your gd will love her bag Serendipity
Glad your ear got sorted Mick

Good morning Mick, morning all from cloudy South Lanarkshire.

Not the easiest journey Mick, I hope your ear heals well.

Nothing of note to report here. I’m enjoying work but will be glad when I’ve finished my training period and can settle in to my two days a week.

Good wishes to all especially everyone feeling under par for whatever reason. Have a peaceful day. ??

Beauregard Tue 18-Jan-22 07:22:54

Good morning from a very frosty Derbyshire. No plans to go out until late afternoon, when we'll walk, so I'm pleased I won't have to de-ice the car.

More painting today, it's going well, but very boring. Rather like my topics of conversation at the moment!

Hope your hospital appointment goes well Dragonfly flowers

Hope everyone has a good day today.

Ashcombe Tue 18-Jan-22 07:28:39

Good morning all from a chilly Torbay.

I’m glad your ear seems to be healing, Mick. Children seem much less affected by Covid-19, don’t they, grandMattie? My DGD had a mild headache and slight temperature on the first day but fine since apart from the frustration of missing school and dance classes. Good luck at the clinic, dragonfly46. Another busy day, Scentia! What a relief to have your heating back on, Serendipity22!

Thank you to the poster who sent a PM and to all all for your kind comments about my DD1 in Australia with pericarditis, which developed after her booster vaccination. She is still poorly and may well have to go to hospital, depending on the outcome of today's blood tests and ECG. It’s early evening where she lives, an hour's drive West of Melbourne.

DH had his booster in France yesterday, having missed the chance to have it earlier (when the no. of weeks to wait between was reduced) due to being here. We discussed getting it here but he decided he needed to have it on his French health care records. I'm relieved he stayed well throughout his stay with me.

Take care, everyone, especially those in pain. ?????

Pittcity Tue 18-Jan-22 07:34:02

Good morning from a frosty and misty Colchester. A "froggy" morning with a dark pink sky.
Below freezing when I put the recycling out a moment ago. We can't put the bags out the night before as we used to do because something has taken to ripping them apart.
Tuesday is the day that I volunteer at charity shop. It's a 15 minute walk as it's at the other end of town. This means I can drop in to the town centre shops on the wall home.
DH is doing a bit more decorating while I'm out. We're half way through the spare (DS's) bedroom.
Freezer pot luck for tea.

Love to all ?x

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s chilly this morning at 9°C but sunshine is forecast for later and a high of 16°C. It’s Tuesday = my LWW afternoon. Yay!
?

I have a wash and blow booked at the salon downstairs at 1pm. I might ask for a trim. Before then I will put chicken pieces, onion and a jar of curry sauce in the slow cooker (eat your heart out Delia).

Hope your appointments go well today dragonfly grandMattie and kittylester. Sorry your back is still giving you gyp GG13. Our youngest daughter suffers occasionally since a car crash years ago. It can go into spasm at the most innocuous movement on occasion. Horrid pain indeed, so bluddy limiting.

brook2704 Tue 18-Jan-22 07:40:33

Good morning everyone from Devon where it’s just getting light, it feels a bit chilly today
Pleased your appointment went ok mick and I hope your ear is fully better soon
Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day and we enjoyed more coastal walking and a yummy lunch sat outside at Brixham. Today I think we’re going near where you live Ash so I’ll give you a wave as I go past. I hope your DD recovers soon and doesn’t need to go into hospital, it must be such a worry
Fingers crossed your heating gets fixed ok today serendipity and you’re nice and warm later
Hoping your hospital appt goes ok Dragonfly
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

BlueSapphire Tue 18-Jan-22 07:42:37

Good morning everyone from a very frosty Northampton. Peeked out the curtains and there is a lovely rosy glow at the back and a brilliant full moon at the front. The weather person on the radio said it was a wolf moon.

Have to brave the cold outside soon to retrieve some mince from the freezer in the garage for a Bolognese for dinner tonight. But at the moment I am quite content to sit with a mug of tea, ginger biscuits and a warm cat on my lap!

Some odd jobs to do this morning, then a health walk after lunch followed by a coffee and chat. Then back to my new book which is impossible to put down, an off-beat police crime thriller; it is a nice change from my usual diet of literary fiction. This is the fourth in the series and I love them!

Hoping for good news for those with worries and cares, and wishing all a pleasant day.

Lizzie72 Tue 18-Jan-22 07:44:56

Sounds a good book, BlueSapphire! What is it?

Alizarin Tue 18-Jan-22 07:47:06

Good morning from a dry, fresh, not too cold south Cornwall. Ended up in St Ives yesterday as the weather was so beautiful. The RNLI recovery vehicle was just going out to fetch the lifeboat from its trials. I sat in the lovely library surrounded by art books and was in heaven and then ate chips on the harbour front. A little holiday. Today it's our allotment knitters' meeting at a sea front cafe, eight of us hopefully. I'm knitting a pheasant. Take care everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 18-Jan-22 07:48:20

Urmstongran I have had an iffy back since last pregnancy (something else to blame DD for ?).

This time I was putting my mug in the dishwasher (I think it was a bend and twist thing) and it just went into spasm, it’s day 6 now and very frustrating.
