Beechnut Tue 22-Mar-22 06:39:16

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it is light and dry. No harm in a lie in if you’re not feeling the best Mick.

I’m up early as I want to go swimming today. After that will be some sorting out of things. Not too challenging or exciting. I might have a mooch in the garden this afternoon. I want to use my old chiminea for a planter so will find a permanent spot to put it.

Take care all especially those with illnesses whether your own or your loved ones ??

Sar53 Tue 22-Mar-22 06:48:32

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea.
I came home a day early from Leamington yesterday as I wasn't feeling too well and tested positive for Covid.
Unfortunately DH is away til the weekend so I will have to make do with the provisions that are here.
I feel pretty rough and didn't sleep at all well ?.
Two years and 3 jabs and I catch it now ☹.
Enjoy the sun today everyone and kind thoughts to anyone ill or with worries xx

Gagagran Tue 22-Mar-22 06:48:45

Good Morning Mick, Beechnut and all who follow. Where is everyone this morning?

It looks like another lovely day here on the south coast and 10c already. We are going to the Garden Centre, with a list, to spend a Christmas voucher and have coffee there. Then I need to pick up some library books I ordered and which are now available.

Sorry to hear about your nose bleed Mick. I get them occasionally, usually after a cold or hay fever. Could yours be linked to the collapse the other day?

Hoping that there is some better news from those with worries and anxiety about themselves or family members. There's always something for somebody as my Mum used to say.

Take care everyone and have the best day you can. sunshine

Susan56 Tue 22-Mar-22 06:54:04

Good morning from Shropshire.

Sorry to hear about the nosebleed Mick.Hope you are able to speak to a dr to discuss your collapse and nosebleed.

Sar,sorry you are feeling so rough and hope you feel better soon.

Our whole family has had Covid over the last few months, we seem to be hearing of a lot more cases now.Hoping all the good morning Covid warriors are feeling better??

Going into town this morning then a quiet afternoon planned??

Thinking of GrandMattie, her DH and family?

cornergran Tue 22-Mar-22 06:54:26

Morning Mick, morning All from a bright corner of Somerset.

We left early and arrived home late yesterday so I’m way behind with everyone’s news. Wondering if you sought medical advice about your collapse mick and if the nosebleed could be linked.

I’ll be finishing the grocery order this morning and dealing with laundry while Mr C washes the car. With luck this afternoon a tip run after some shed sorting.

flowers for sar and all other poorly or worried folk.

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all

grandMattie Tue 22-Mar-22 06:55:52

Good morning from a gorgeous bright day in E Kent.
This “everybody” was waiting for opening up - then forgot! ?
I was summoned by the hospital to pick up DH at 0830 yesterday. He was finally seen to, given one bag of saline and an enema. Back home, he saw the district nurse for a top up of the syringe driver, then a long talk discussion with a hospice doctor. He has stopped being sick, managed something to drink, some lunch, and dinner. Went to bed just after 1900.
I had a friend babysit while I went to the dentist. Very successful, my gnashers are terrific, and I incredibly got a refund as instead of using horrifically expensive gold for some of the crown, they used less expensive metal.
Today WILL be a good day!
Carpe diem. ????

Gingster Tue 22-Mar-22 07:03:18

Oh Sar sorry to hear you have Covid! Good job you came home when you did.
I am in Suffolk at the moment but home from tomorrow. Could I get you some provisions and drop them off for you?

Another lovely day here but as we are venturing back to Essex we won’t feel the benefit. Never mind it’s been a lovely but busy few days.

Our lovely heating engineer came yesterday and spent an hour explaining the work that would gave to be done to install a new boiler. Oh my! What a big job. This cottage is over 200 years old and has an antiquated system which the previous owner installed. He was a ‘plumber’ but just used anything he had to hand. We’ve had the cottage for 22years and it’s been fine so We can’t knock it too much. The quote for the job will be much higher than anticipated! Oh well it has to be done!

I hope to get back in time to go to Bridge Club later this afternoon.

Have a gentle, trouble free day all ?. ???

GrannyGravy13 Tue 22-Mar-22 07:04:23

grandMattie (((hugs))) keep smiling with your new teeth.

Sar53 I have messaged you

I am on Granny duty today with The Imp, so who knows what we will get up to.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Jaxjacky Tue 22-Mar-22 07:15:41

Good morning all from sunny S Hants. Sorry to hear you’re rough Sar take it easy, and I hope for a swift recovery.
Sounds like a much better day gMattie, you deserve that and many more.
Garden stuff to do today, washing and a local shop, I’ll ignore the housework.
My sons op took a lot longer yesterday than thought, but is now done, we go back in a week, his sling is ‘vibrant’. I slept well last night.
Enjoy your day ??.

baubles Tue 22-Mar-22 07:17:45

Good morning all from Rome where it promises to be another bright and sunny day.

Yesterday was spent in the Vatican Museums, where I think there are five or six rooms dedicated to the type of decorated pottery which DH is particularly interested in. We looked at. them. all. To be fair it’s astonishing how many have survived for over 2000 years and the craftsmanship is wonderful.

We got off to an inglorious start when DH managed to b****r up his audio handset and changed the language to Italian! After arguing with me he eventually swapped it for mine and allowed me to restart his and get it back to English. He did redeem himself by coming to Mass in St Peter’s with me (although I know he really just needed to sit down for a while)’.

We are off out to breakfast in a little cafe around the corner for a caffé and a maritozzo. If it’s good enough for Stanley Tucci it’s good enough for me.

Wishing everyone a good day especially those with burdens to bear.

Marydoll Tue 22-Mar-22 07:19:55

Good morning all from a very sunny Glasgow, however
it's only 2°C, a tad chilly.

Susan, it was lovely to see you posting.

GM, I am pleased to read that you had a better day yesterday.
Poor you, Sar, I hope you don't feel too bad, especially as you are on your own.

I hope you will take on board the advice, given here about contacting your GP, Mick, especially as you ended up in hospital the last time. It would be foolish not to.

Thinking of all on here, who struggle daily, I hope today is a good one. ?

baubles Tue 22-Mar-22 07:21:33

Got my accent the wrong way round. I’m having caffè!

Marydoll Tue 22-Mar-22 07:22:43

Stop rubbing it in Baubles. ?????
My favourite part of the Vatican Museum is the long corridor, with all the maps.

Have a great day!

monk08 Tue 22-Mar-22 07:25:46

Good morning all from the Black country bit cloudy at the moment hoping it will brighten up.
We're off to the theatre later to see Dreamboats and Petticoats.
flowers for those feeling unwell wishing you all a speedy recovery, virtual hugs where needed and may you all find some ?.

Ashcombe Tue 22-Mar-22 07:29:54

Good morning, all, from a sunny Torbay.

Desperate for sleep, I took an antihistamine last night hence late surfacing. Bad luck, Sar53, regarding to succumbing to Covid at this point. I know of a few in the same position, including me! I hold on to the thought of how much more seriously ill many of us would be without the benefit of the vaccinations. I hope you can find a way of having essentials delivered (friends or neighbours? Supermarket delivery?)

I’m glad your DH is home and more comfortable, grandMattie and hope the support continues for you both.

Enjoy whatever the day brings. ??????

Urmstongran Tue 22-Mar-22 07:35:08

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s chilly on our penultimate day. No matter. I have a nice day to look forward to. Hair wash & blow at 1pm, then ‘hi and bye’ to my ladies at LWW in our little bar. An early dinner on the marina is planned - we will treat ourselves to a taxi both ways as the forecast isn’t great!

You sound upbeat grandMattie which is heartening to read. I think you are an inspiration to us all. You are so stoic. I admire you very much. Jax vibrant certainly describes that sling! Glad your son is on the right side of his accident now.

Enjoy Tuesday all who can. x

Lins1066 Tue 22-Mar-22 07:36:50

Good morning all from our corner of the S Welsh coast, a beautiful sunny morning it is too.

Our two month old dgd has her first jabs today, her Mum is very anxious as the five year old had a very serious reaction to the meningitis jab.
I have a blood test later.

Some scaffolders arrived yesterday, put up some scaffolding around the front arch and left, hope they return soon!

Best wishes to all grans who are feeling unwell and those with poorly relatives. Sending a gentle hug to all in need of one.
Take care everyone.

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 22-Mar-22 07:36:51

Good morning all from sunny Harrogate relatively warm at 6 degrees
Another lousy night, but looks like a lovely day. DD1 is coming round to go for a walk with DH, then I plan to go to town with him to get reading specs.
I’m glad your DH is being made more comfortable GrandMattie it will give you a chance for a rest?
Listen to us naggers Mick and speak to your doc, your health is concerning us!
So sorry you have ended up with covid Sar and feel rotten with it. Maybe a neighbour could get some provisions for you? They can just drop them off at the door and you can square up when you are fit?
Have the best day you can folks

ShazzaKanazza Tue 22-Mar-22 07:50:03

Good morning Mick and everyone from a lovely bright Hull. Another glorious day forecast.
Mick I was sorry to hear about your nosebleed again. You’ve been through the mill this last couple of weeks. Rest up.
grandMattie? it will be a good day for you I really hope so. Thinking about your DH.
Aww Sar, so sorry you have covid alone. Drink lots of water. Rest when needed.
Baubles so envious you are in Italy I’ve always wanted to go and especially to Rome.

Nothing much on today. May do a zoom Pilates this morning. No GS to pick up so I’ll see what the day brings.
Take care everyone and hope Tuesday brings moments of joy. ??

Grandmabatty Tue 22-Mar-22 07:51:31

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 1° but forecast to be warm. A lovely day ahead. Mick like the others, I urge you to contact your doctor. Sar I'm sorry you have succumbed to the virus. ?
Today I'm off early to join dd and dgs1 on his nursery visit. I feel very lucky to be part of all his important occasions. Afterwards I'll carry on emptying the summer house ready for sitting out. Have a good day all.

Chrissielou Tue 22-Mar-22 07:52:52

A chilly and currently grey start in west Oxfordshire. My DD1 completed her 1st chemo session yesterday without any issues, although by the time I dropped her home she was not feeling well. I organised her medication, unbelievable amount of meds, do they're all numbered and recorded. Very hard to leave her on her own with the children, but we are only 20mins away. She's declined DH's offer to take GC to school, says does got to get on with it...my DD is just like me at times. Thank you all for your kind words yesterday.
Hope you all find some sunshine ? today.

Grandmadinosaur Tue 22-Mar-22 07:59:46

Good morning from a sunny East Yorkshire.

I had a quite productive day yesterday and took a large bag of stuff to the charity shop. Got another to take today plus one for a doorstep collection coming today. I knew I would pay for it as I’m feeling quite tired today.
I’ll go for coffee morning then come home and relax before GS comes after school. I think I will be minding GD for a while too as DIL has to go and collect new glasses.

I think your body is telling you something Mick maybe check things out with your surgery would be a good idea.

Wow Jaxjacky that’s a very jazzy looking sling there. Glad it went well.

A better day for you GM and good news in the refund.

Sorry to hear Covid has caught up with you Sar as you say 3 jabs and all this time eh? Hope you don’t suffer too much. ?

I too am very envious about your time in Rome. It sounds wonderful. It’s always been on my list but the older and less energy I have I feel I may have left it too late. Enjoy your day.

Take care everyone.

Grandmadinosaur Tue 22-Mar-22 08:01:03

Sorry I didn’t write that was to Baubles about her Rome trip ?‍♂️

BlueSapphire Tue 22-Mar-22 08:02:29

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton. Looking forward to a health walk this afternoon in the sunshine.

Managed another couple of hours in the garden yesterday afternoon, cut back two large bushes, can't remember what they are called but they have masses of yellow flowers in summer; then cut the grass, and have managed to almost fill a second garden bin.

Then had a phone call from one of my two DSis, feeling sorry for herself as she has come down with Covid, as has my DBrother and his wife. Lots of it about at the moment. Have tried twice to order a pack of LFTs this week, but none available.

A morning of pottering ahead and then a health walk this afternoon. Feeling a bit achey after yoga yesterday.

Take care everyone.
