Good Morning Everyone,
Its a bright and dry start here in brackley again this morning.
I had a call yesterday from JR , as they found I need another Iron infusion as my levels are low, but the nurse told me to take iron tablets with water on a empty stomach , which I have just done until I get the appointment at the hospital in Bicester .
Today usual routine , the only trouble I have found is appointments and trips, seem to upset my normal routine depending on the time of day .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Bristol. Haven’t looked out, but it’s dry again…
Nothing much yesterday. Went to a women’s thingy in the afternoon. So depressing with about 40 old women in various stages of decrepitude, very friendly though. I met a very pleasant young Indian nurse who comes to church and had a day off. Well travelled and interesting. Got the latest Maggie O’Farrell book for £1 there….
I’ve got a hair cut this morning. All the hairdressers here seem ever so posh. I hate to think what it’ll cost - I used to pay £14 for a dry cut in Sandwich!
Hope today is filled with sunshine. Carpe diem.🦩🦩❤️🦩

Good morning from a sunny South Downs. 🤞 it looks as if we are in for a prolonged period of dry weather and sun🌞🌞🌞 - hooray.

Spent the day in the garden yesterday planting up the summer containers. Some plants aren’t arriving until early June so those containers will have to wait.

Will try to finished cutting back the Montana today along with a very vigorous climbing rose. I shall lose some flowers but needs must.

Baked seabass for supper

Have a splendid day one and all.

Good morning from a bright, if chilly, Sarthe.

Yesterday was warm enough for us to have lunch and a doze outside …… wearing fleeces! Last night we both slept for eight hours which is a hopeful sign of the coughs subsiding. Thank you all for your concern.

I hope you soon have your iron infusion, Mick.

It’s good to hear that you’re finding day time activities, grandMattie. Good luck with the hairdresser!

Enjoy the overdue fine spell, Whitewavemark2!

I hope everyone has some sunshine. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Morning Mick, morning All from a clear corner of Somerset.

Yesterday was full of chatting one way or another. The day whizzed past. Heading for a butterfly farm and country park today. The dry weather is tempting us further afield.

Good luck with the hairdresser grandmatttie. Hospital appointments are exhausting mick, hope those levels stabilise. Things are looking up ash.

Take care everyone. Hope Thursday is kind to us all.

Good morning from a much brighter Black Country, where we even ate our evening meal outside yesterday.

Thursday morning walk, then onto Mums for lunch out.

My youngest DGD is 12 today! Just had a WhatsApp photo of her beaming with my present. She is off on a school trip today so an early start for her.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire. There has been rain overnight.

Hope you have your infusion soon Mick.

Good to hear that you’re both on the mend Ash.

We’re going over to DS’s today for a couple of hours now that I’m feeling a good bit better and am past the covid infectious stage.

Some of you may remember that I had horrendous back pain for several weeks earlier in the year, I now know the cause. I had a CT scan to check for other conditions and it showed that I have some crushed vertebrae, probably caused by osteoporosis. I’m glad to have an explanation at least.

Have the best possible day everyone.

Good morning from Shropshire where the sun is already making an appearance.

We had a lovely afternoon in Llandudno. The weather was perfect for a day bay the seaside. The performance of Annie was outstanding. We walked down to the pier and bought ice creams.DH was enjoying his until a seagull swooped in and stole it!

Today is childcare. We have said we will take them to the park after school which caused great excitement.

I’m sorry your iron levels are low again Mick.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

It is going to be a nice day in s somerset, the sun is already out.

I shall be outside as much as possible, I can read, knit, spin, garden while taking in the lovely spring sounds of birds, bees, tinkling water and maybe hear some bell ringing practice. Really it is idyllic at these temperatures

I have been busy for a few days and today will definitely be a rest day

I hope you have a good day

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 10° with patchy cloud. Mick I'm another who hopes you get your iron infusion today. Ash a doze in the garden sounds lovely. It wouldn't happen where I am. Much too cold and noisy. Grandmattie you're finding your feet in a new place. You can't enjoy everything. Whitewave I bet your garden looks beautiful.
Yesterday was such a nice day with dgs2. He's so affectionate. At the moment I'm his favourite person. I'm well aware though, that it'll change as he grows, so I'll take the cuddles while I can. 😀 I didn't visit mum yesterday because she was having other family going and frankly I needed a break from it. She's not an easy person.
Today I have art class. I shall have to go shopping first as I need a large board to paint on. After art I will visit mum then home to potter. Dd has booked a holiday for us in July to Benalmadena so I'll start perusing the websites for new clothes. Have a good day all

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

We had Wondrous Wolfie yesterday- he was fabulous - naturally. grin

Today I have an appointment for a pedicure - at a different salon and then tea with a lovely fellow gransnetter.

Grandmabatty Thu 18-May-23 07:11:21

baubles can they do anything about it?

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 18-May-23 07:13:57

Morning all from sunny Kew. A quieter day for me I think. After dropping granddaughter off at school I’ll have a cup of coffee in one of the cafes, buy a newspaper and then what? There is an open afternoon at the school so I might go along and look at her work. Have a good day.

BlueBalou Thu 18-May-23 07:18:37

Good morning from village on a hill in Wiltshire, the sun’s shining!
Yesterday when I returned from the dentist DD and I walked the dogs and had a good natter then I did more gardening while she worked.
I think she’s going home today, I have art group this afternoon.
I will sort out pots of seedlings for her to take back to Wales this morning.
Have a lovely day x

Good morning all.

The following is a message from my very dear friend Urmstongran

I have taken a step back for the time being, as Himself has been diagnosed with a serious illness. He starts palliative treatment within the next two weeks and he and my family are clearly going to be my first concern, so I hope you will understand if you don’t hear from me during his treatment.

NannyJan53 Thu 18-May-23 07:24:15

So sorry to hear this GrannyGravy please pass on my love and thoughts to dear Urmston

I’m flying solo looking after the two DGSs today and tomorrow as Sil and DD1 are both away with work commitments so hoping they are good. School drop off soon and then the rest of the day to myself ..
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning on day 9 of my hospital sojourn in sunny Cornwall. Thank you for all kind wishes. Today I will go and sit under a tree in the grounds and read a book on Jerusalem my eldest son brought last night. We're planning a return trip there one day. Send my love to Urmstongran please GG.

monk08 Thu 18-May-23 07:38:20

Good morning all from what appears to be a sunny Black country.
Have been watching the great tits in their box, one has just fledged, don't know how many there are but another appears ready pokes head out after mom feeds them. We have had many a family in the box since DH made it over 30 yrs ago.
Loved your description of your women's thingy GM and I hope your hair cut is not to expensive.
Ash good to hear you both had a good nights sleep.
Grandmabatty enjoy those cuddles and something to look forward to with the holiday.
Have a good day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.
