You don't always have to wear a bra.

You can change into your pjs, nightie, dressing gown at tea time.

You can talk to yourself without receiving funny looks from strangers.

You can get a cup of tea or coffee just the way you like it.

Currently, home is a real tip as DH is doing stuff!

Love this thread.
Home for me is where i can relax and process my thoughts calmly.

Home is where my little GD comes to stay and livens things up.

Home is where i can shut the door on the world and just potter around doing stuff with the radio on and my DH chuntering on in the backgroud!!

Home is where you can fall asleep on the sofa in front of the tv and recharge your batteries for the rest of the day.

Home is where you can take your false teeth out and have them smile back at you through a glass!!!!!

Home is where you can relax with a cup of tea/coffee or a glass of wine, unwind and chill. I look forward to that every day. It's the little things that count.?

Home is where I can exercise and do yoga in sloppy clothes without the smirks and judgement from the very young.

I don't get why taking off your bra is so great. I sometimes even forget to take mine off at night. I always imagine my boobs sagging even more if I don't have my bra on, and imagine the fine threads which are till holding on in there (muscles, sinews or whatever) getting torn and stretched as I bounce up and down the stairs, like old knicker elastic.

Home is where you can have a good scratch!
Home is where you can read all day and forget the dust.
Home is where you can swear without being heard.

Home is one big store cupboard for all the things GC love to eat and play with.

Home is where you can join in the argumentative political threads, say what you think, swear, and you don't get slammed by the other posters! grin

Where I can remain in bed until 10 in the morning watching live telly on my IPad without recrimination.

I keep reading about this new Danish word that's entered into everyday language "hygge" hunkering down and getting cozy for the winter months, where the home assumes a very important role, more so than the summer months when there's a desire to get outside. My home's my sanctuary and the older I get the more important it becomes.

Where you can dance around to the radio without anyone thinking you are bonkers

henetha Thu 02-Feb-17 10:52:23

Home is where I can relax in my red and black checked lounging trousers in the evenings and nobody is going to laugh at me.

nettyandmasey Thu 02-Feb-17 10:56:41

where my cat is,
also where I an wear my pjs at teatime.
have my living room lit by fairy lights
and where no one can laugh at me for having to use my micky mouse teaspoon to eat my breakfast

Noticed all the comments about taking off bra. I no longer yearn to do this since I started wearing those stretchy boneless, wide strap, no fastening bras. Sheer comfort, though probably not enough support for the larger breasted girls on here!

Home though, all of the above and more.

NanaandGrampy Thu 02-Feb-17 11:31:19

Home is where chaos reigns , where small people rule the roost, where the dog is on an equal footing as the people and where love abounds.

Wouldn't swap it for the world.

kittylester Thu 02-Feb-17 11:58:02

I hope no chaos reigns at the moment - aren't you in a state of permanent tidiness?

Nannanoo Thu 02-Feb-17 12:18:53

Home is all the above, and a place where you can phart comfortably without embarrassment!grin

TerriBull Thu 02-Feb-17 13:09:53

Nannanoo, great minds think alike, I thought that too, but then I thought noooo don't post that grin

NanaandGrampy Thu 02-Feb-17 13:27:19

Kitty it was.... then Cooper arrived !

Greyduster Thu 02-Feb-17 13:50:37

Oh no! Lego! ? If you turn your back on it, it is like some alien thing that reproduces itself until you cannot find a piece of floor to put a foot down on - and then it swallows you up!! Tuck Cooper under your arm and run for your life, N&G! grin

Judthepud2 Thu 02-Feb-17 13:55:09

Home is soon to be where my little damaged dog is ?

NanaandGrampy Thu 02-Feb-17 14:08:36

I know Greyduster , worse he's tipped it out and has now fallen asleep on the sofa with me !!

Good news Jud!!!

David1968 Thu 02-Feb-17 14:57:15

Home is anywhere I can have my family around me. Where I can eat what I enjoy because OH is a great cook, beats going out any day. Home is my garden in summer and by the fire with my laptop and books in winter. Where I can watch what I like on tv and where I do not have to listen to head banging music or whatever the noise that passes for music these days is called. Home is also Yorkshire where my heart is.
