Evening all, and please bear with me, it might just be the heat!

Watching "Live At The Apollo" , why do I want to say with regard to Noel Fielding "Have that boy washed and brought to my tent!"

Actually, I would be quite happy if he was to pop round for a coffee and a muffin!

gillybob Thu 12-Jul-18 21:52:18

Are you not thinking of the famous Noel Coward quote phoenix

Have him shaved, oiled and brought to my tent."

Anniebach Thu 12-Jul-18 22:00:55

The heatwave has affected you Phoenix ?

phoenix Thu 12-Jul-18 22:03:46

blush

Alima Thu 12-Jul-18 22:12:12

Suffice to say I completely understand the title of this thread. Yes, I think you probably are.

KatyK Thu 12-Jul-18 22:18:28

I agree with you phoenix I think Noel Fielding is rather cute. I also think Russell Brand is attractive - imagine how that goes down in some quarters!

Jalima1108 Thu 12-Jul-18 22:29:45

I must be getting old.

Rupert Sewell please, unwashed or any which way.

seacliff Thu 12-Jul-18 22:34:09

You can have him Jalima. I want first dibs on Tom Burke/ Cormoran Strike.

phoenix Thu 12-Jul-18 22:37:26

KatyK sorry, can't agree with you 're Russell Brand! Definitely wouldn't want share a cup of tea and a scone with him!

Coolgran65 Thu 12-Jul-18 22:50:46

Rupert Sewell is the image of my GP.

Jalima1108 Thu 12-Jul-18 22:52:53

I don't mind him eithr seacliff grin

Where are you Coolgran - we were thinking of moving!

merlotgran Thu 12-Jul-18 22:54:14

I wish my GP looked like Rufus Sewell.

I might make the effort to try and get an appointment.

BlueBelle Thu 12-Jul-18 22:58:22

Seacliff when you finished with Tom Burke can I have an hour if he has any energy left
Noel fielding leaves me totally cold I think he’s wimpy looking, not funny and a strange sort of personality I always expect him to wring his hands
I can see the attraction of Russel Brand but don’t too much like him

MissAdventure Thu 12-Jul-18 23:11:16

Noel Fielding gives me the heebee jeebies..
I used to rather fancy Tony Slattery though.

cavewoman Fri 13-Jul-18 05:18:00

With you phoenix

I love that androgynous look.

Jane10 Fri 13-Jul-18 05:45:17

Noel Fielding is lovely! Another fan here. I don't know why I like him but I do. Most odd.

kittylester Fri 13-Jul-18 06:23:03

I think those of you who are talking about Rufus Sewell should know that Teetime is extremely possessive and she thinks she has first dibs!!

Aiden Turner or Tom Burke will be fine for me!

annsixty Fri 13-Jul-18 06:48:54

My mother who was fairly straightlaced and not having much of a sense of humour, used to use the expression, "he could put his shoes under my bed anytime" of anyone she thought was handsome.
Think old film stars, Tyrone Power, Errol Flynn, that era.
I was shocked the first time I heard her say it.
I'll fight you for Tom Burke and I think I get first dibs because I fell for him long before Cormaran Strike, it was in an Agatha Christie play about some clocks.

kittylester Fri 13-Jul-18 06:56:16

Was that before or after The Musketeers ann?

annsixty Fri 13-Jul-18 06:58:09

Oh ,you have me there kitty I don't know?

annsixty Fri 13-Jul-18 07:03:21

Hands off kitty 2009 against 2014, he's mine?

kittylester Fri 13-Jul-18 07:06:55

OK! I'll have him after you, Ann!

In the meantime, I'll toy with Tom Hardy!!

annsixty Fri 13-Jul-18 07:14:28

Oh kitty you can have him.
I'm too old and too tired for any shenanigans now.?

kittylester Fri 13-Jul-18 07:24:23

You might feel differently at the end of next week.grin

seacliff Fri 13-Jul-18 07:26:59

Yes of course Bluebell, I'm sure there's enough for both of us wink
