I lurk by the kitchen door, earwigging on whats going on! Only rarely have I actually stepped inside to say hello and swipe a coconut macaroon on my way back out.

But now I feel guilty so I've made you this ?. I'm not a brilliant baker so watch how you go with it.

I've washed my hands (the fewer germs in this fresh kitchen, the better) and will sit quietly in the corner awaiting Soop's return.

My apologies all of you who find that sleeps alludes you. I slept well last night, up only once and today every time I sit down with a cup of coffee I am asleep. Heaven knows what will happen tonight as I have slept away the afternoon and the sunshine. The bush cutting will have to be for another day.

soop I seriously meant if you are still feeling as unwell you should call the GP or before you know it you will be hospitalised. I do not want to have to get on a train- the journey is long and what would Tara do?

I have just checked emails for any further news from Mr Panache and there is nothing to report.

I then thought that I would like to say hello to you lovely lot. guess what? I needed to log in and had forgotten my password. I was, locked out. I burst into tears and MacSporran helped me to set up a new password. And...here I am, for a fleeting visit.

Before I say anymore, would you all kindly have a group (((hug))) You are very special peoples. Also, I need your advice. I have not the strength to get out of bed, let alone visit the computer for a cosy chat. What I do need, at times such as this, are your thoughts on the best I-thingy for me. I do not need complicated gizmos. I do not wish to play games or music. I do not want to clutter my life with Apps. Said like an old fashioned fart! I would like to use the internet and message my family and my friends (especially you lot). I've missed you terribly.

This virus may be miniscule but it has packed an almighty punch. I've spent almost all week in bed. I do not enjoy being bed-bound. Thankfully MacS has taken care of me and the house. The UTI is less troublesome. the antibio's have kicked in. My cough is disgusting and I have the "runs". Thank goodness for a bathroom close to my bed. I also have conjunctivitis and the eye is blood shot and sticky. What else? Do you know what, I'm bloody exhausted. Even my hair hurts when I brush it. I wish to goodness that I could wake up and do normal stuff. Normal stuff is top of my list of priorities.

As you are aware, we have a wee treat to look forward to in a week or so. No way can we mess up the plans that we've made and paid for.

I shall try to sit here longer tomorrow. How do I catch up otherwise!

I do agree with charleygirl ... another visit from the GP does seem in order if you are still feeling so weak and exhausted.
I can offer no advice about I'anythings, I'm afraid. I dislike them intensely. Apparently the world falls into two tech camps.... fruity, or otherwise.

Dearest soop. Get thee an iPad. Easy to use. So much easier than switching on and off a computer. Expensive initial outlay but very reliable. You can check things during TV ads and it can just sit beside you. Ideal for when you’re bed bound.
As CG says, maybe contact GP if you feel no better but I think it’s just a waiting game and hopefully the Abs will do their stuff soon. Don’t let it become pneumonia though, as I did a couple of years ago. When you are really well, consider an iPad. Meanwhile dear soop just get better!!

It has rained here today, although it cleared up later, I am still so tired but have to rouse myself ready for tomorrow.

Ann I am delighted that you had a good time on holiday and I hope it served to strengthen your reserves. I know we always say when we come back from a holiday that we could do with another to get over it, but the good effects will make themselves felt!
Our family lunch went very well this afternoon, although it became obvious at one stage that I was trying to keep too many balls in the air!! Luckily, DS came to my rescue. I asked him to test the meat to see if it was done and, with his usual ex military organisation, he took over the kitchen and made me his sous chef. From then it went swimmingly! He’s awfully bossy though! Not at all like his dear mama ! There is strawberry flan and a modicum of birthday cake left if anyone is interested!
I brought some sweaters in off the line this evening and took them upstairs to put on the airer. When I came down, I was just going to plonk myself in a chair when I felt an irritation on my back and could hear a buzzing noise, so I whipped off my shirt and went upstairs to ask DH if he could see what it was. It doesn’t look as if anything has left a sting, but there is a large red mark. We can find no sign of the offending insect, and I can’t think how it got down the back of my shirt, but it has made me very jumpy because it must be somewhere!
I will bid you a peaceful evening and a restful night, and look in tommorrow.

greyduster you are so correct. soop you are in our thoughts as well as panache annsixty , and morethan and all the kitcheners who are poorly or have troubles at the moment.

soop, at the start of the last kitchen (or was it the one before) you expressed thoughts as to whether or not the kitchen was needed or was of use anymore. I think the honest answer is that we need you and the kitchen more than ever. We have amassed many more 'kitcheners' this year and so many more who need love and support.

Get well soon soop we love you and need you (and MacSporran) but we will keep the home fires burning until you feel fit to pick up the reins again. Gentle (hug)
