My choice would be , Monty Don for advice about gardening, San die tocksvig for her wit and humour, the queen for her calming influence she's seen it all before, Freddie mercury for entertainment and Tina Turner to do a duet with Freddie. A mad party or what

Freddie Mercury, The Princess of Wales, Jane Austen, my Grandmother ( I was 8 when she died and I want to know stuff!) and finally Billy Keane the Irish columnist and author.

I’d like to dine with Jo Brand, Jonathan Ross, Steve Cougan, Susan Calman and Monty Don. I think there would be lively conversation, humour and wit. Do you think they would turn up if I invited them?

Marco Pierre White - he could help me in the kitchen etc!

Miriam Margolyes, Trevor Phillips, Chrissie Hynde, Will.I.Am and Billy Connolly. All thoughtful, talented, hugely creative people. I'd be happy to feed them and listen, maybe ask an occasional question. I became a granny six weeks ago and have just joined the forum – this is my first post, prompted by this challenge. Coincidentally, I started a fantasy dinner party guest list a couple of weeks ago and had chosen the first four already, adding Billy Connolly just now because, to me, he's the funniest person in the world.

And if I could squeeze in one extra guest, it would be Jo Brand

Billy Connolly, ( for the fab comedy) Stephen King, ( because he’s got a strange mind,)Sidney Poitier, (because he’s gorgeous) (Michael Portillo, (because he’s interesting) Michelle Obama( because I’ve realised I haven’t put any women and after reading her book think I’d really like to talk to her.

Sir Davis Attenborough - such a lovely and wise man with a soothing voice too.

Margaret Thatcher - to help Boris
Gordon Ramsay - to do the cooking
Frank Skinner - for his witty humour
David Bowie - to sing for us.

Billy Connolly for his wit and humanity
Jamie Oliver to do the cooking
Hugh Grant, just to drool over that handsome face
Jane Fonda, we are the same age and she's my role model.
My brother in Canada whom I have only met once.

Sir Terry Wogan .... miss him so much on the radio
Michelle Obama, an elegant intelligent woman
Peter Kay, so very clever and I love his Bolton accent
Carole King, to sing to us
Terence Stamp....my pin up from the 60s

Rik Mayall - because he would cheer me up and make me laugh
Princess Ann - (yes really) I'm sure she would be good fun
Elvis - to serenade us all
Dame Judy Dench - she must have some fascinating tales to tell
Zsa Zsa Gabor - to keep us amused about all her husbands

Jesus - who needs anyone else?

I would have Sandi Toksvig and Miriam Margoyles for the chat, Billy Connolly to talk about his travels around Britain, David Attenborough , who must have many a tale to tell, and Paul McCartney, whom I’ve loved since I was about 11.
Mind you this could change shortly, as I remember more people!

Billy Connolly...nobody can make me laugh like he can.
Keanu Reeves...just to gaze at and perhaps stroke!
Susan Sarandon...I just really like her warmth, humanity and intelligence.
Terry Pratchett....an admirable man.
Joanna Lumley...beautiful voice and utterly charming.

My Swedish grandfather - he died under mysterious circumstances before I was born, I'd ask what happened and I'd tell my mum before it's too late, she's almost 100.

Only five, a bit tricky, but these spring immediately to mind.

1) J. G. Ballad : a favourite author of haunting and disturbing novels, l would love to talk to him about them.
2) Terry Wogan : Lovely man, much missed. Puckish sense of humour with all his Togs etc.
3) David Attenborough : Very interesting and well travelled man, with many a tale to tell.
4) & 5) : my old Ma and Pa, now dead, as l have so many questions to ask them, and mysteries to unravel.

My mum, just to hear her voice once again and to hug her

Aristotle, for his questioning of the other guests to get their full stories
